Episode 7: Flowers Bloom In Catastrophe

~Y/n's Pov:~
I was beside Kunikida and Dazai as Ranpo put on his glasses.

He asked him to deduct who had sent that man to kill me.

"...I have no suspects." Ranpo sighed. "But I have come to alibis."

"What are they?" I asked.

"Your ability. Whatever they're up to, they're trying to get you down first so they can go with their plan."

"What sort of plan?" Kunikida asked Ranpo.

"My guess is to..." His eyes widened. "...They're going to destroy the Agency with a sickness. Your ability also prevents you from getting sick, so you can do something about it."

"...So they need me gone first.." I mumbled to myself.

I spent the night at the infirmary last night, so I haven't got to visit Asher today.

"I'm going out." I walked to the door to leave.

"Wait. I don't want you going out there." Kunikida grabbed my shoulder.

I looked at him, "But I haven't got to visit Asher today."

His eyes widened slightly, then softened. "Then I'll go with you."

We walked over to the flower shop.

I opened the door, "Good morning, Mrs. Ya-"

My eyes widened.

Flowers were on the floor and everything was a mess.

Mrs. Yaga wasn't at the front desk.

"Mrs. Yaga?!" I ran behind the desk.

I saw a photo on the ground. I picked it up.

My eyes widened.

It was Mrs. Yaga, legs tied and wrists tied.

I flipped the photo around to see a note.

Show up at the same building. You have 2 hours to be there, or I send her back piece by piece.

Kunikida stood behind me, "Damnit."

I walked past him.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm saving Mrs. Yaga."

"Y/n, don't. It's a trap." He grabbed my wrist.

"No, I'm not letting her die." I looked into Kunikida's eyes.

"If you go, you'll die!"

"I don't care about myself! I need to save her! And I'll kill whoever is behind this so then the Agency is safe! I have more to worry about than my life!"

"Why?!"

"Because I've lost enough people that I've loved!"

His eyes widened.

"I..I can't lose another."

"Y/n, you..."

"Please, let go of me."

~Kunikida's Pov:~
And I can't lose someone I love either..

~Y/n's Pov:~
"...I'm going with you. So are Dazai and Atsushi."

"...Fine."
