Chapter-19

Mahira's pov.
It's 11pm and we all are having dinner.
I asked breaking the silence.

"What do you guys prefer, velvet or viscose?"

"Velvet" said mumma.
"Yea i agree". Said raavi.

"No way mom, velvet is not for boys so no, i think we should go with viscose". Ahaan said.

"Ahaan is right". Dad said.

"No, velvet means velvet" mumma shouted.

"Jaisi aap ki icha". Dad replied. Owwww whipped much.

"Dad don't change sides". Ahaan said.

"Beta, I'll always be my wife's side". Dad said smiling at mumma, she just blushed. Haayee.

"Okay let's do one thing, velvet for ladies and viscose for men". I said.

"That's great". Ivaan bhai said. Everyone nodded their head.

And then we all resumed eating.

Days were passed with preparation and all. Tomorrow is the engagement.
But ofcourse how can everything go well. We had a big problem. My stupid friend aka rahul, forgot to book a banquet. Can you believe me? How can someone forget this?
We all were trying to book that through different sources.

"They said they don't book their hall urgently". Armaan bhai said cutting the call.

"They said it's impossible to book banquet this urgently". Dadda says coming towards us.

"Now what?" Ivaan bhai shouted in frustration.

"Relax, we'll do something". Natahsa stated.

"what are we gonna do? I don't see any hope in this". Ivaan bhai said.

"This idiot had to ruin this all, i told you dad to not to give him this work but ofcourse, you didn't listen to me". Natahsa said to her dad.

"I'm sorry". Rahul said looking down. He must be pressured right now.

"What should we do with your sorry now?". Kairav said. Atleast he should take his side, no?

"Can you guys calm down? What's done is done. So can we just focus on the problem rather than blaming anyone?". I said.

"But it's all because of him". Kairav said.

"Why? Is it his engagement? Did any of you ask him all week if he has booked the banquet or not? Why is it just his responsibility? "I opposed.

No one said anything.

"Look, let's just try, we can't do anything other than that".
Ivaan bhai went into his room sighing.
Natasha dii went after him.
Armaan and kairav also went to somewhere.
Elders went to living room.
Now there was just our group present in the dining room except priyal.

Rahul sit on one of the chair and looks down.
We all look at each other before looking at him.

"It's okay rahul, anyone can forget'. Raavi says.

"All of you did your work perfectly, i was given just one thing to do and i couldn't even do it properly". He says slowly.

"It's fine, if you think that this is all because of you then you should take the accountability, you should solve the problem rather than being guilty and sitting here doing nothing". I say.

"What can i even do now?" Rahul asked.

"I have a solution if you guys wanna hear it". Ahaan says.

"Hum kya subeh se bakwas kar rahe hain, bata na". Raavi says.
