Anna's Arrival

They inform the entire family about the news. Sunny is making an announcement. "Please sabhi log ekatrit hon! Jum kuch adbhut samaachaar saajha karana chahenge(Everyone, please gather! We would like to share some wonderful news.)" With anticipation visible on their faces, the Kuruvilla family gathers in the living room. Agnes is beaming. "Ek naye sadasy dvaara hamaare parivaar ke badhane ke liye taiyaar ho jaie! Hamaara ek bacha hai(Get ready for our family to grow by a new member ! We're having a child!)" Ammachi is delighted. "Oh,hum kitane dhany hain! Hamaare ghar mein khushiyaan badhaane ke liye ek chota sa(how blessed we are! A small one to increase the happiness in our home.)" Given that this is Agnes's child, Manorama is being sarcastic as usual. "Theek hai theek hai. Is "madhyamavathi" parivaar ka ek aur sadasy(All right, all right. Another member of this "middle-class" family.)" Lynette's eyes are moist. "Ye avishvasniya hai! Koi chota nephew ya niece aane vaala hai! Haalaanki mainne apana bacha kho diya hai, yah bacha mujhe maatrtv ka ek chota sa hissa de sakata hai(That's unbelievable! A small nephew or niece is on the way! Although I lost my child, this baby may give me a small piece of motherhood.)" Juanita can't wait to spend time with her younger sister."Agnes,aap sabase achchi maan banane ja rahi hain(you're going to be the best mom!)" 

Thomas gave Sunny a back pat. "Mere bete, badhai ho. Aap Papa banenge(My boy, congratulations. You will become a dad.)" Matthew has a smile on his face. "Kya adbhut samaachaar hai! Main sabase coolest Maama banoonga(What wonderful news! I will be the the coolest uncle.)" Rony nods awkwardly. "Uh, yeah, congrats." The announcement of the new member of the Kuruvilla clan is met with applause, laughing, and well wishes from the entire family. With much enthusiasm, SJ shows them around the newly converted nursery, which was once his office space. "Surprise!Mere paas chote bachche ke liye ek vishesh upahaar hai(I have a special present for the little child.)" The room is beautifully designed, with a comfy crib, toys, and charming baby-themed décor for the family to enjoy together. SJ gestures toward the crib. "Paalane ko dekho - yah sheersh paayadaan par hai! Aur in khilaunon par ek nazar daalen. Hum ek aanandamay bachapan ke liye poori tarah taiyaar hain(Look at the crib—it's top-notch! And have a peek at these toys. We're all set for a joyful childhood.)" 

Everything is overwhelming Agnes. "SJ,bahut shaanadaar! Main vaastav mein aapako yah sab aayojit karane ke liye dhanyavaad deta hoon(this is incredible! I truly thank you organizing all of this.)" Sunny is appreciative of the gifts. "Aapane vaastav mein khud ko maat de di hai, SJ. Yah kamara hamaare bache ke saath bahut hit hone vaala hai(You've really outdone yourself, SJ. This room is going to be a hit with our baby.)" Ammachi teasingly makes fun of everyone. "Aisa lagata hai ki hum bache se jyaada samay is kamare mein bitaenge(Looks like we'll be spending more time in this room than the baby!)" Lynette has strong feelings. "Thank you, SJ. Yah hamaare liye bahut arthapoorn hai(It's very meaningful to us.)" For the newest member of the Kuruvilla family, the room takes on symbolic meaning of happiness and expectation. Every family member is making predictions about whether the child will be a boy or a girl. Juanita is ecstatic. "Mujhe lagata hai ki yah ek ladaka hai! Mainne hamesha kalpana ki hai ki main apane chote bhatiji ka peechha kar raha hoon(I feel that it's a boy! I've always imagined me chasing after my little nephew.)" Thomas is thoughtful. "Khair, yah mujhe ek ladaki ki tarah lagati hai. Apani maan ki tarah hi sundar aur aakarshak)Well, it seems like a girl to me. Elegant and charming, just like her mother.)" There's a sparkle in Ammachi's eye. "Sabase bada vyakti sabase pahale kahata hai - main kahata hoon ki yah ek ladaki hogi, jo sundarata aur buddhimatta se sampann hogi(The eldest gets the first say – I say it's going to be a girl, blessed with beauty and intelligence.)" Once again, Manorama is sharp. "Agnes ko jaanane ke baad, yah sambhavatah judavaan hoga - ek ladaka aur ek ladaki, bas ise jatil banaane ke liye(Knowing Agnes, it'll probably be twins – a boy and a girl, just to make it complicated.)" SJ is upbeat. "Jo bhi ho, hamaare paas bigaadane ke liye ek aur chota sa Kuruvilla hoga(Whatever it is, we'll have another little Kuruvilla to spoil!)" Sunny has a sly smile. "Yah ek rahasy hai - hamaara bachcha abhi ise surakshit rakh raha hai.(It's a secret – our baby's keeping it safe for now.)" Agnes is joking around. "Main nahi jaanata, lekin mujhe aasha hai ki yah apane Papa ki tarah hi sharaarati hoga(I don't know, but I hope it's as mischievous as its father.)" The family imagines about the newest member of the Kuruvilla clan while laughing and enjoying each other's company. For them, the family throws a surprise baby shower. During the surprise baby shower held in honor of Sunny and Agnes, Thakadiel was converted into a vibrant and lively place, creating an atmosphere of excitement and joy. A joyous and celebratory atmosphere enveloped the entire Kuruvilla home thanks to decorations, balloons, and fragrant flowers. Family members and friends cheered and applauded Agnes as she entered the room. Lynette took the lead in planning the celebration because she was eager to restore some happiness to the family following the recent hardships. Everyone was gathered around Agnes, who was beaming with excitement about becoming a mother, and the room was filled with lively conversation and laughter. " Yah sab aapake aur hamaare bache, aur tumhaare liye hai Agnes, mere priy. Aaie aaj adbhut yaaden banaen(This is all for you and our baby, Agnes, my dear. Today, let's create wonderful memories.)" The baby's gender was kept a secret until the big reveal with a combination of pink and blue decorations in the room. Delicious treats, such as cupcakes and chocolates, covered tables, and a gorgeous cake took center stage.
