Chapter Four

The blaring sound of the alarm clock interrupted me from my peaceful sleep. I reached for the annoying alarm clock on the side table and turned it off with my eyes still closed. Slowly, I sat up on my bed and attempted to open my eyes, but failed. I just sat there for a few minutes with my eyes closed, and realized that I still wanted to get sleep. My body seemed to have its own mind and let it fall on the bed again. Instead of collapsing on a soft and warm bed, my chest made a contact on something I can’t explain, like combination of hard and soft stuff, and my face connected with a bone, which I assumed.

“Ow.” A husky voice groaned.

“Ehm shorry.” I mumbled, still sleepy.

“What are you doing, Claire?” The husky voice asked me, and even though my mind is still cloudy, I’m pretty sure that it was Adrian since we’re sleeping together.

“Ehm shtill shleepeh I dohn wahnna get uhp…” Then I put my right leg around him, trapping him in my legs.

“Claire…” Adrian warned.

“Five minutesh pleash…” I heard him sigh as I felt him nodded.

Slowly, my mind goes back to consciousness. I gradually lifted myself up from Adrian’s chest and murmured, “Thanks, Ian.”

“Not a problem, if you’re not a piggy. Goddamn it, you are so heavy! How much do you weigh, piglet?” Adrian teased me, and I rolled my eyes at him.

“I’m having a greater weight than your balls.” I joked.

“Why, do you even know how much my balls weigh?” He joked back. To be honest, I don’t even know if he was joking after what happened yesterday. He always looked so serious, but admirable at the same time.

“No.” He grinned. “Don’t even think about it, Adrian. I am not even planning on getting a weighing scale to weigh your balls.” I spoke before he could suggest a dumb idea.

“Aw, you know me too well. Are you a mind reader or we are just meant to be because our brains are banded together?” He wiggled his eyebrows at me.

My lips formed a stupid smile to mock him. “’Are you a mind reader or we are just meant to be because our brains are banded together?’” I mimicked his tone. “Are you being romantic or it’s just that the curls which were connected on your skull affected your brain?”

“Correction, it is scalp.” He rectified me.

“Whatever, I’m late. Good riddance, dimplepid!” Just as my back faced him, I felt something weird. Until I realized that I smell stupid Adrian plan. “Don’t even think about tapping my ass, you vagabond.” I warned.

“Aw.” Adrian sighed in defeat.

Quickly, I jumped out of my bed and took my towel then went straight to my bathroom. I took a quick shower because the weather today is too damn cold and my laziness is sitting on my shoulder.

When I step out of the bathroom, my eyes roamed around the room and searched for Adrian. With a sigh, I quickly grabbed some appropriate clothes from my cabinet. I dried myself with a towel and put some lotion on my body. Just as when I was putting my underwear on, the door creaked open.

Adrian’s head popped in, and I nervously searched for the towel. “Shit.”

“Claire, the breakfast is—whoa, naked glorious!” He squealed like a gay. I rolled my eyes at him, well, still naked because I can’t find the damn towel. Where on earth did I put it?

“Stop squealing like a girl. You sound so gay. Don’t tell me you haven’t seen a naked girl yet.” I say to him, staying calm as I can. Deep inside, my heart is racing.
