~ Chapter 10 ~ It's Love My Dear Ludex

~ Furina's Perspective ~

Once Neuvillette had calmed down, he sat back down on his chair and I sat in front of him.

" Ready to tell me what's going on?" I asked softly

I could see he was reluctant at first but just gave in.

" It- Its- Its about Wriothesley." He started

I won't lie I was surprised by this but never showed I was surprised, It was surprising because Neuvillette rarely cared for what happened in Meropide, as it was the Dukes Issue he would say.

" Alright, what about the Duke?" I asked

" Well there was this first time we had an encounter, At the Fountain of Lucine and he tried to talk to me and I ignored him.."

" What was the encounter about?" I asked

" I'm afraid I don't remember Furina." He replied

I Could see he was lying, but I'm not gonna point that out right now.

" But- He came to my office the night after your trial, to see if I'm Okay." He continued

I simply just looked at Neuvillette and Gestured for him to continue

" I then snapped at him and claimed he came to talk about nonsense, but when he left there was a certain type of Pain in his eyes. One to hard to understand."

In my mind I thought it was something but then left that thought because it can't be.

" When I walked out of my office to go home, I found him on a Bench soaked in water as it was raining that night, but he also looked very defeated, But as a Ludex I cannot go and check if he's okay."

After he finished that sentence, I wondered what caused him to think because he was a Ludex he can't care for a Mortal?

" But when I was far enough for him not too see me, I turned around to see water streaming down from his eyes and-."

" It's called Crying Neuvillette." I said

" Crying?" He repeated

" Yup, when a Human, Dragon, God and so on have water streaming down from there eyes there crying."

I Could see his face in a bit of confusion but he let it go, and carried on with his story.

" I went home and well I was doing something Until I apparently fell unconscious." He continued

" What were you doing for you to fall Unconscious, Neuvillette." I asked a bit irritated

He never said a word just looked at me with an Emotionless face.

" Neuvillette-"

" I will not tell you Furina." He stated

" Alright.." I added

" The duke followed me home and broke my door after a period of time, and then states he found me unconscious and took me to the infirmary in Meropide."

I was still listening to his story but not much things made sense as to why he would cry? Earlier

" But- when I woke up I was embraced in his arms, as if he was holding me."

" Interesting.." I mumbled

" Pardon?" He asked

" No nothing!" I replied fast

He just frowned at me in confusion but continued his story.

" But then when I woke up. I asked him, what caused him to do what he did to me, Follow me home and then even care for me when I was unconscious and then even Embrace me in his arms."

" He then told me, He Cares About Me."

A pool of shock ran through my body as that was not the answer I was expecting. The Duke caring for The Ludex? I swear those Two we're sworn enemies.

" But I didn't have words for him so I simply just didn't say a word and left him.

" Neuvillette, you did what." I exclaimed

" I got up and left him without saying a word.." He repeated

I just sighed and looked at him with a slight smile

" Neuvillette, you can't do that to a Human. Humans are really Fragile and Easily hurt beings, so when someone tells you that they care about you, no matter what you have to say something." I answered Calmly

" Oh- I wasn't aware of that.."

" But Furina, Why do I feel bad when he Cries, Or when he's hurt or when I ignore him, because when I do it to other people it doesn't hurt a bit, But it's as if when I do it to him it Hurts me.." He asked softly

I took a deep breath, Ready to tell him the truth, I looked up at him and smiled.

" Your in Love. My Dear Ludex." I answered

" Love? That's impossible Furina, A Sovereign can only Fall in Love with another Sovereign and never a Mortal."

" I know, that's the thing with Love. It's Unique and Incredibly Unpredictable."

I Just stared at him as he looked so confused and puzzled.

" My little Sovereign, you are still growing.. and you will see Love, can be anyone, and It seems for you, The Duke has that place in your life." I replied

He just sat there still in shock as if he was still trying to reckon my words.

" I'm In Love With The Duke." He whispered In Disbelief to Himself

" It appears so." I replied

I got up to leave his office until a wall of Hydro stopped me. I turned around only to find Neuvillette Pulling my arm into a Hug.

" Oh Neuvillette-."

" Thank you Furina, Thank you For letting me understand my Feelings!" He exclaimed

" Your most welcome, My Dear Ludex." I said softly
