Chris & Louis - Another World

    Louis had treated me to a day out  since I had just gone through another bad breakup. It was something I really needed, just a day with a good friend. I reached over from the passenger seat of Louis car to turn on the radio. 'So Sick' by Ne-Yo filled the car. Sighing, I changed the station 'Somebody's Heartbreak' by Hunter Hayes took over. I turned off the radio, frustrated. "What is this? Pick on the new single guy?" I huffed.

    "You never notice how many breakup songs are out there until you go through a breakup. I learned that the hard way." Lou pointed out as he turned the corner onto a new street.

    "Damn right." I rested my head against the cold glass of the window, watching the heavy rain fall from the sky. Lou stopped at a red light and reached in front of me, pulling a CD out of the glove box. He slipped the disk into the CD player.

    Olly Murs' voice poured through the speakers, surrounding us. I smiled at Louis as he skipped ahead to my favorite song. We sang along, Louis, of course, sounding perfect. The song ended and Louis turned his beautiful eyes on me. "You know, Chris, it might help if you talk about it."

    I looked up at him. "It might.. but do we really want to risk an emotional breakdown?"

    "Chris."

    "Fine." I sighed. "Aaron broke up with me for no reason. Simple as that. Who cares anyway?" I looked down at my hands. "Love never works out for me."

    "It will eventually." Lou reassured me. "It just takes heartbreak to figure out what makes a relationship work for you." He smiled sympathetically.

    "Thanks, Lou." I gave a small smile.

    "No problem." We pulled up to my flat and climbed out of the car. I began to walk in the puring rain when Lou stopped me. "Chris, wait." Louis shouted over the rain. He stopped in front of me. "You've had all the sucky relationships with all the sucky and wrong guys. So, why not give a good guy a try?" He shook out his now soaked brown hair.

    "Louis, you know I would, but I can't seem to find one." I dark blonde hair began to fall into my eyes as the rain came down over us.

    "Well, I was thinking..." He looked around before looking into my eyes. "Why not me?"

    I was shocked. "I-I.. Lou-"

    "The others put you down, Chris. I promise to lift you up and never stop. I mean, I'm your best friend, Chris. You can tell me anything. You already trust me. All the bad relationships held you down in one world," He took my hands in his. "Let me take you to another world." I smiled as he slowly leaned in and placed a kiss on my lips as the rain poured down around us. He pulled away. "What do you say?"

    "Louis, I can never say no to you." I chuckled.

    "Good." He thought for a minute. "Wait. That's a yes, right?"

    I laughed. "Just kiss me."

    "Gladly." He leaned in and placed another passionate kiss on my lips.
