We were imperfect lovers; we weren't an ordinary crew.
I tried to listen, you tried to pretend you cared.
If fate pulled us together, it knew we wouldnt get anywhere.
Halloween hasnt arrived yet, but still we were ghost, and it all made sense now.
Because we were broke.
Waves from the ocean clash into shore,
I know you wanted me, and I wanted you more.
But we weren't right, just lust, fakeness and lies,
I don't have the strength to fight the high tide, we won't be alright.
We weren't ever fine.
Sometimes I'd wish you died, but then I'd just keep on crying.
