Chapter 35: Similarities

"Come in."

Kumatok ako sa office ni Greg pero babae ang sumagot. Weird? Does Greg have a new secretary? Ang alam ko walang naglalast na secretary niya dahil sa sobrang sungit niya raw. Dahan dahan akong pumasok sa office niya pero walang tao ng buksan ko ito.

"What the? I'm positive I heard someone."

Nilibot ko ang paningin ko sa office ni boss. Mukhang wala naman siya dito. Was I hallucinating? Lalabas na sana ako ng bumukas ang pinto ng cr nito.

"Oh! Hi Alvy!"

Nagulat ako ng biglang lumabas si ate Fille sa banyo habang binobotones niya ang suot niyang white polo. And I swear that looks like Greg's.

"Oh! I'm sorry!" Agad akong tumalikod. Her bra is exposed.

Bigla naman bumukas ang pinto at pumasok si boss.

"Dr. Park? What are you doing here?" He asked when he saw me.

"It looks like he's here to meet you." Si ate Fille ang sumagot.

"Hindi ka ba marunong magbutones? Mali yan oh." Nilapasan ako ni Greg at dumiretso kay ate Fille. Siya mismo ang nag-ayos ng suot ni ate Fille.

"I-I-I'll just come again later. Sorry. I didn't know you were doing something. Please continue."

Naiilang akong lumabas ng pinto pero pinigan ako ni boss.

"Don't go. I know you have something to say."

"B-But it looks like you're busy."

Who knows kung anoman ang pinagkakabusyhan nilang dalawa.

"Don't get the wrong idea Ly. Nabuhusan lang si Fille ng kapeng iniinom niya kaya siya nagpalit." Greg bluntly said.

Oh. I guess I got it wrong. Napahinga ako ng maluwg. Akala ko gumawa na sila ng pamangkin ni Den.

"Labas lang muna ako hon. Mukhang may kailangan kayong pag-usapan." Hinalikan ni ate Fille ang pisngi ni boss tsaka niya ako kinandatan bago lumabas ng office.

"Tell me that you went here to tell me that you're going back to our department." Boss straightly said.

"How do you know?" I wondered. Greg is sharp as ever.

"You don't have to ask. The ER needs you. Kahit sinabi mo sa'kin na aalis ka na nung isang gabi, I had this feeling that you won't."

I smiled. At least it's confirmed that I'm back in the ER again. I can say that I missed working.

"Greg, I know that I'm not in place to ask you this. But, what's your relationship with ate Fille?" I shyly asked.

He just grinned at me. "From now on, dapat kuya na rin ang tawag mo sa'kin."

"You mean? Kayo?"

He nodded, trying to hide his giddy smile.

"Congratulations Kuya!" I clapped my hands enthusiastically.

"It was hard for us to be together again. I just had to grab onto her when she got back here from Paris. I can't afford to lose her again. Kaya ikaw, do everything to not lose Dennise. Don't ever let go of her hand like I did to Fille." He sincerely said.

I'm so happy for the both of them. Siguro nasabi na rin ni ate Fille kay Den.

"And Kuya, I would like to thank you. Kung di dahil sa'yo, baka hindi parin kami ni Den." I shyly scratched my head. "May utang tuloy ako sa'yo."
