Chapter 26: The Confession

Ella and I rushed to the parking lot, not minding the people around us. Flashes of cameras were unending but we didn't stop running. Kahit narinig kong sinigaw na ng tatay ko yung pangalan ko, hindi ako tumigil. I only have one goal in mind, and that is to stop that freaking dumbass Alvy from leaving this country. He's not going to leave me again this time.

When we arrived at the parking lot, nagulat kami ng biglang may tumigil na sasakyan sa harap namin. The window by the driver's seat opened at si boss Greg and nasa loob nito. 

Greg: Hop in!

Mas nagulat naman ako ng makita kong katabi nito si ate Fille, who's supposed to be in Paris right now.

Den: Ate Fille?!

She just smiled at me tsaka kumaway.

Fille: Hi bunso!

Greg: Questions later kung gusto mong mahabol yung Prince Charming mo sa airport.

So I did. Binuksan ko ang pinto at nagulat ulit ako dahil nakaupo naman sa gilid si Liza.

Liza: Bilis ate Den. We're gonna be late.

Sumakay kami agad ni Ella sa likod. When we got out of the building, boss sped off, trying his best to get to the airport before Alvy leaves.

Ella: Okay. I'm so confused right now. Besh, you better start explaining dahil baka pagsasapakin ko si Alvy, na akala ko patay na, pag nakita ko siya.

Greg: Alvy? Who's Alvy?

Fille: Ha? Alvy? I thought he disappeared for a long time now? Greg, akala ko ba Dr. Park ang pangalan ng hinahabol natin?

Greg: Yes. Si Dr. Park nga. I don't know who the hell is Alvy.

Ella: Dr. Park? Alvy? Argh! Naguguluhan na talaga ako!

Sinabunutan ni Ella ang ulo niya because of frustration.

Greg: Sino ba si Alvy?

Fille: He's Den's best friend before who magically disappeared for some

reason.

Greg: Then how is Dr. Park associated to this Alvy guy?

Fille: I don't know. I just got back to the country to attend my little sister's engagement party and to surprise her. Tapos bigla mo na lang ako hihilain kanina like nothing happened between us, telling me that Dennise is not supposed to be engaged with Bernard and that we should stop a guy named Dr. Park from leaving the country at hihilain mo na lang ako dito sa sasakyan mo with a girl who's obviously younger than me.

Ate Fille talked with her Parisian accent habang tinitignan niya ng masama si Boss. I'm smelling something fishy here. Ang alam ko kasi, nagkaroon sila ng something nung senior ko palang si boss sa Med school tapos nagmeet sila nun. Pero ang alam ko, nawala rin kung ano man ang naging meron sila ng lumipad si ate papuntang Paris to chase her fashion career.

Ella: Okay ate Fille. Mamaya ka na magselos. I'm just so confused right now. At least sabihin niyo sa'kin kung ano ang nangyayari because I just freakin' helped Den from escaping her engagement party.

Tumingin silang lahat sa'kin, except for boss who's focused on driving, all anticipating for my answer. I took a deep breath first.

Den: Dr. Park's real identity is... Siya si Alvy.

Greg: What?!

Fille: Who now?!

Ella: Seryoso?!
