The soft glow of the moonlight and the golden rays from the humongous mansion pierced into the dark atmosphere and created a beautiful dim light.

I glanced around the luxurious mansion then back at its owner, my mind thinking of what she does for a living. I let my eyes linger on the side of her face while my mind made a mental image of her striking appearance.

I rolled my eyes down to her neck to find a drawing trying to peek out from the dress and I squinted my eyes to get a glimpse of the drawing but it was of no avail.

As if she sensed my stare she steered her head to face me and our eyes locked together. After my past there was a vow never to hold a stare with a woman for longer than necessary but this mysterious woman's eyes had a spectacular power that had me drawn into its icy captive.

A pair of gray eyes flashed in my head which caused me to look away from her and my jaw to clench angrily as I was hit with the awful memory of my past.

We avoided looking at each other as we continued our journey in the thick silence of the night. We arrived at the door and she pushed it open and gave me a room to step into the luxurious living room.

I roamed my eyes around the beige and white regal interior taking in the beautiful architectural structure of her home.

"Have a seat Mr Riccardo, I'll get her" she informed without sparing me a glance and began making her way up the spiral stairs when two voices made her halt her movement.

I followed the direction of the voices to find a replica of the mysterious woman and behind the brown skin beauty hid my princess.

"Daddy" she squealed and ran towards me totally ignoring the confused woman who she was previously with

Without letting a second walk by i scooped her into my arms and buried my face in her neck to take in the scent of lavender which was totally different from her coconut scent.

I placed a kiss on her forehead and pulled away from her so I could scan her body for any sign of burn or injury.

"Are you okay gemma?"(gem) she smiled and settled on my thighs with a smile on her face. "Yes daddy, I was so sad and scared that you weren't there and I wasn't going to be saved but Ms Maja saved me" my eyes automatically drifted up to her and I found a ghosted smile on her lips as she stared at Esmeralda.

"And she also saved my necklace daddy. You know what daddy? I don't want to be like princess belle anymore, I want to be like princess Miranda cause she's brave just like Ms Maja" her words of praises made me stare at Maja in awe with lots of questions in my head.

She lifted her eyes from Esmeralda and casted it on mine. Our eyes saying so many words that either of us could understand.

I looked away from her and back at Esmeralda. "I'm so sorry princess, I'm sorry for not coming to get you on time and for breaking my promise on always protecting you. Will you ever forgive daddy?" I covered her little hand in mine while staring into her soft brown irises.
