I fucked up a week ago.

I shot one of my best guards because of her.

When I saw his hands touching her body I saw red, I didn't see him helping her or making sure she safely got up the stairs. I saw his hands on what was mine, so I shot him.

I won't apologise for what I done, I'd do it again to anyone who puts a hand on her. I knew whispers would get around quickly so Jacob was just a warning to the rest on my men, Florence is off limits.

I knew I didn't have to explain myself to Jacob, he understands and also knows I am paying for his family's care. However for the past week I have been dodging my princess since I knew she wouldn't understand. I saw the look in her eyes, the horror.

Her father kept her hidden from the horrors of the other world he dabbles in but I laid it out right in front of her. I could've done worse like broke every bone in his body and then shot him so she should be grateful that I went easy on him, but still she wouldn't understand.

I can't avoid her forever since the ball is tomorrow so I have to finally face her, I think it's time we sit down and talk finally do that Starbucks talk she wanted to do.

She's been here a few weeks now but she mingles with everyone but me, I noticed she even grew a liking towards Cole. At first I was suspicious she liked him but it didn't take long to realise she relied on him more like a brother, the same way I do so I made sure he guarded her whilst Jacob recovered and I was gone.

Before I could go back home there was a few bits I had to pick up. Vienna text me what happened at the shop, Florence refused to buy a necklace that was meant to go with her dress as she was mortified at the price. When I saw she had only spent fifty thousand dollars on my card I smiled, I expected at least one million to go missing to try spite me but she wouldn't even get the necklace which only cost fifty thousand to match.

What my princess doesn't realise is she could spend ten million and i wouldn't notice so a little necklace doesn't bother me, I'd buy her an even better one if Vienna hadn't told me that exact one was made to go with the dress.

I walk into the shop and head towards the counter, the bag is already on the side waiting since I paid over the phone before I got here.

"Mr Russo, it's a pleasure to see you. May I say your date looked phenomenal in her dress, I think you'll agree when you see it." A young woman smiles at me handing over the bag.

"Thank you." I nod grabbing the bag off her and walking out of the shop.

She didn't have to tell me that my girl looked good, she could wear a bin bag and I'd drop to my knees for her.

I don't know what is wrong with me, I've never felt this way about a girl before, especially one I barely know. I've slept with women and not cared about a single one, yet I haven't even touched Florence and I am obsessed with her.

With everything that happens in my life, I am always in control and have a plan but when it comes to Florence I am not in control. When I brought her back with me there was no plan, I acted on pure idiocy of wanting her to myself. The first time I laid eyes on her I decided she was going to be mine.

Driving up towards the house I see Cole leaning against the front door grinning. I get out the car and walk towards him. "Spit it out what do you have to say?"

"Well a hello would be nice since I haven't seen you in a week and have been taking jabs off of your girlfriend physically and mentally." he pushes away from the door and grabs me for a hug.

He knows I hate hugs but still does it every time "where is she?" I ask

"In the sitting room watching greys anatomy" he replies, they've both been obsessed with it since she got here.
