"I MEAN, I'M GREAT, but everyone else, terrible." Lizzie said to MG just as Jaxon walked up to them, deciding to interrupt.

"Everyone else?" He questioned with a fake look of sadness, "you wound me, dear sister."

"Ugh," Lizzie groaned, rolling her eyes at the sight of Jaxon who only smirked at her reaction, definitely what he was expecting. "Look who's here."

"The one who's better than everyone else," Jaxon responded before asking, "what's going on here?"

"I was just about to thank MG for helping me with something before you decided to invite yourself in our conversation," Lizzie replied before looking at MG with a smile, "so, as I was saying, you really tried to help me with Sebastian. Thanks."

Jaxon's brows raised up at the mention of the unfamiliar name. "Seb— what now?"

MG cleared his throat, "her new boyfriend. Um, about that. Actually, um— I know you're all in with this guy—" he took a deep breath, "—but I think it might be best for you to keep your relationship status on the DL for a while."

"Why would I do that?" Lizzie asked, frowning in confusion while MG replied, "it's all so new. I'm worried you might be seeing things." When Lizzie frowned, he quickly added, "through rose-colored glasses, I mean."

"MG, I am in the best emotional shape of my life," Lizzie began saying, "I need to carpe the diem. Seize the lay."

"—Oh wow," MG muttered earning a smile from Lizzie, "besides, friends should support each other. If I'm happy, you're happy."

"If she's happy, you're happy," Jaxon repeated, looking at MG with a mocking look on his face which made the vampire roll his eyes, mouthing a ‘fuck off’ which made Lizzie snicker as she looked at the demigod, "that applies to you too."

"Of course." Jaxon nodded, smiling sarcastically, "when am I meeting the boyfriend?"

"Soon," Lizzie replied with a smile before she walked off. Jaxon looked at MG and joined him as they began walking outside, "you have this look on your face that there's more to the story. Also, whatever happened to the I have have finally made a move on her shit?"

"I got late and somehow she found herself a new boyfriend who, by the way, I don't think is real!" MG exclaimed in a harsh whisper, exasperated.

"What do you mean, is not real?"

"Like, I saw her dancing and she was dancing with herself!" MG replied making Jaxon snort, "dancing with herself? Really?"

"Yes, slow dancing," MG clarified, "like who the hell does that? And she was even smiling and all. She looked happy. So yeah, she has this imaginary boyfriend she's been going on about." The vampire looked genuinely concerned as he spoke, "we have to do something about it. It is concerning."

"No shit," Jaxon muttered just as his ears caught the sound of someone speaking a foreign language a few feet away from them. "I'll be right back," Jaxon excused himself before heading towards the sound.

He reached near the school gate where he found Dorian who was standing in front of a closed gate and a japanese man on the other side, speaking the language. Dorian was talking to the man in English while the man was speaking in Japanese.

"What's going on here?" Jaxon asked as he made his way towards the two men.

"This dude just came in and started speaking Japanese to me like how the hell am I—" Dorian cut himself off when Jaxon said something to the man in Japanese. He stood there, his eyes flickering from Jaxon to the man as he couldn't understand a word of what they were saying.

"Since when do you speak Japanese?" Dorian finally asked Jaxon as he was done conversing with the man.

"Since forever."

"What's he saying?" Dorian inquired to which he replied, "his name is Kurutta— which is another word for crazed. He's a demon hunter who's looking for an Oni, which is like a demon- ghost-monster kind of a thing."

"Sounds like that's our next Malivore monster," Dorian said just as Josie decided to join them as she said, "then the Oni's probably wherever Landon is."

"He said he followed his sword here, and it glows around supernaturals," Jaxon continued earning a nod from Dorian, "Makes sense why he wound up here. But I've never seen one of those."

"He said that we wouldn't know if the Oni was here or not," Jaxon added, "it possesses people, and it could be anywhere. In anyone."

"Why does she have to come again?" Jaxon asked Josie as they made their way to the twins' room with Kurutta following them.

"There you are," Josie said while entering the room, Jaxon following her, making sure to keep the Japanese out. "I need you."

"So you can apologize for this?" Lizzie asked, rolling up her sleeve to reveal a large rash making Jaxon's brows raise up. "Are you seriously using black magic again? Allow me to remind you that whenever you do, whatever happens to you happens to me, too."

"And I'm so sorry," Josie sincerely apologized, "it won't happen again."

"Well, you're just lucky that Sebastian appreciates the old-fashioned look." Lizzie's eyes darted to the Japanese guy who finally got pulled in the room by Josie, "um Who the hell is that?"

"Good news," Jaxon said with a grin, "I found you a new boyfriend."

"Shut up—" Lizzie rolled her eyes just as Josie said, "long story."

"Short, he is a samurai/demon hunter who lost his Oni and the only way we can kill it is with his demon-banishing sword before it carries off Kirby into Malivore," Jaxon explained earning a nod from Josie who then asked, "Can you come?"

"Well, I suppose if I reschedule my date, it would give this rash some time to clear up." Lizzie said making her twin sister smile, "Ah, thank you, thank you, thank you." The two then shared a hug just as the Japanese smiled and knocked his forehead, "Kurutta," he said along with other words which made Jaxon bit his lip to prevent himself from laughing.

"He's talking about me, isn't he?" Lizzie asked, "He's calling me crazy."

"No. No, he's talking about the Oni," Josie said, "It possesses people, makes them act crazy."

"Well, then I retract my offer," Lizzie said, "my mental health is the most precious thing that I have, Jo. A rash I can deal with, but I cannot risk crazy. I'm sorry."

Just then the guy ran off with his sword after a bunch of students which made Jaxon and Josie run after him as well.

"Get back here you fuck—" Jaxon was cut off by Josie, "—he doesn't understand English, remember? Might want to use Japanese."
