It had been two more years in the search for the cures, countless of things had passed since then, things that rocketed Alexis Kenner's life and those around her. She had been through too much since the moment she was born, just a year later of her life and her grandfather had gone crazy and killed their lovely neighbors due to a disagreement.
And from then on, it all went down.
Not that she didn't have any good times or a bad childhood, actually, it was filled with beautiful memories, full of friends, lovely parents and grandparents and most important for her, a loving older brother that protected her from day one. That until she was almost nine, that's when bad things really started.
But despite that, she was sure that the past year was when she truly broke, though she had to quickly pull herself together. And she did, because she was a strong woman and she knew she could against everything.
Her nights became restless as the weeks passed, she and her best friend were too close to finding the last ingredient to the cure for Elijah and Kol. She almost gives up one or two times on the road, the ways in which they sometimes had to act to get the ingredients was something she was not proud of. But then, when they finally told the little girl missing her family, she made them promise that the two would get her family back. And so, she had a promise to fulfill.
