Arranging a time off from their hectic schedules was difficult to do. Especially when they were promoting the Webtoon and their group's Wattpad book.

But Jungwon had managed to get an extra time to spare at the last minute of the girl's birthday, knowing he'd have to face her wrath for doing the extra gifts for her in the morning.

And he didn't think she'd appreciate either if he didn't turn up, though it had been a surprise.

Despite managing to end his duties at work for an hour earlier than usual, he had a bit of a problem with the traffic and by the time he arrived at her street, her birthday party that happens because of his delivered cake and food, was already done for the night.

Lugging his last gift for her behind, he approached her house, hoping that Y/N would still be forgiving of him. By the time he knocked, it was opened by hers truly and Y/N stopped, almost had her jaw dropping at the grinning face of Jungwon towards her.

"Why didn't you tell me you're coming?", Y/N raised an eyebrow, watching as Jungwon placed a huge box in front of her, "Another one again? This is getting out of con-"

"Come with me first", Jungwon took her hand and before she could protest that her mother would search for her, he was dragging her out of the door and out the streets.

He kept a deaf air to her words of complaints and the moment they were in the privacy behind his manager's van, he shut her up in the best way possible.

Even when Y/N tried to back away from him, trying not to falter in her breath, Jungwon's hands framed her face and kept her in place before he kissed her again.

When he drew away from her to press his forehead against her, she couldn't help but chuckle, "What's gotten into you today? Is this your way to shut down the birthday girl?

Jungwon shook his head, pressing a simple peck to her lips, "That's not why I'm here.. I'm here for that coward thing I can't stop but I made up my mind and thought it'd be better to say it before midnight"

She bit her bottom lip hesitantly, "What about it, Jungwon?"

"You'd better be fucking joking if you didn't know what I meant", he said without a hint of amusement.

"I want to hear it!", Y/N exclaimed, frowning while Jungwon narrowed his eyes at her, "I don't want the other gifts but I still accepted it because of you. What I really want is to hear your voice. Sing me a song. Whatever it is, just do it. I've been long waiting for it"

Jungwon scoffed, giving the two of them some space. The girl looked as if she want to shake some sense into him, but he just stared at her.

"Would it kill you to stop hesitating for once?", Y/N demanded, "If you like me back, then just shout it to my face. I've been waiting all this time, so you'd better be honest and tell me you like me"

"Do you really need to hear me say it?", he couldn't help but smile subtly at her pouting face, "Isn't the answer obvious?"

"It doesn't mean I don't want to hear it"

"Fine", he muttered, scrunching up hise nose as he said, "I like you, Princess brat"

"But do you like like me?", Y/N teased, laughing when he narrowed his eyes at her, "See just how easy it is to confess?"

"Oh shut up", Jungwon rolled his eyes at her widening smile, but still leaning into her when she spread her arms out for a hug.

"Now can you grant my last wish from you, Mr. Genie?"

"What kind of wish is it?", he asked and at his nod, she smiled happily.

"Sing me a song"

And so he did, which she was more than ready to listen. She had her hands clasped before her chest reminding someone of a Princess who were then enchanted by the arrival of her Prince in her life.

Unexpectedly, but literally a dream come true.

"And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything is different
Now that I see you"

Somehow she already knew what he was going to do next and fall freely into his arms, "You know, I never really expect to find my own Princess in a wrong call", he pulled her into a tight hug, "Just stay with me through everything, okay?"

Y/N nodded against his chest, "Okay"

She closed her eyes, breathing in his familiar scent. This midnight could be the last time they saw each other before he becomes busy again.

She didn't want this and Jungwon didn't either, but that it had to happen. He had to continue being an idol and her a normal disney lover.

Then she said it just as the clock ticked at the exact start of midnight, "I love you"

Jungwon laughed quietly at her confession but he smiled, "Y/N, I love you too. No matter what. I'll do everything to be your happy ever after"

Instead of answering, she wound her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her, pressing her lips against his. This kiss was different from all the other first ones, but not in a bad way.

It wasn't a surprise and it wasn't desperate, it was softer. Sweeter like your usual Disney love story.
