Today is the day I meet Aidens parents. I decided to wear a yellow spaghetti sundress that hugs my body since Aiden picks it out for me. My mom did my hair in box braids, I decided not to wear makeup. I had my nails done yesterday. I wore brown heels with my brown purse. I borrow my mom's gold necklace and hoops so I don't look too plain. Aiden picks me up from the house after he got off work.

I was nervous in the car Aiden rubs my thigh telling its ok and that his mom would love him. When we pull up the butler already has the door open so we can come in. This house is way bigger than Aiden's. It was mostly made of glass. Aiden open my door and held my hand as we walk towards the door. He guides us into the kitchen where both of his parents were setting up the island. Aiden's dad guides us to sit down. I sat my purse on a seat next to me.

Aiden
"Mom this is Rose, Rose this is my mother Kimberly Santoriello." I reach to shake her hand but she didn't take it.

Kim
"I'm sorry, it's just I'm a germ-a-phobo."

Rose
"It's ok." There's an awkward silence. Aiden rubs my leg to comfort me. "Thanks for your help in contacting the mayor for me Mr.Santoriello."

Callisto
"No problem I'm happy to help. You can call me dad if you want."

Kim
"So you were on the phone with her?" She says with an attitude.

Callisto
"Yeah."

Kim
"Interesting. Anche se era la tua puttana."
(Is she your whore)

Aiden
"Mama!"

Rose
"Did she call me a hoe?" I asked Aiden to make sure my ears didn't hear wrong.

Callisto
"She thought we were dating."

Kim
"I thought you were one of his whores who calls someone else husband whenever they fell like it."

Rose
"I can assure you it was just business."

Kim
"What kind of business?"

Rose
"I came up with an idea to build more low-income homes. I didn't know where to start so Mr. Santoriello is helping me."

Kim
"With his money?" she says as if she knows what's going on.

Rose
"No mine." I make sure she can hear me clearly and proud.

Kim
"That you got from my son."

Rose
"No. That I work hard for." She's playing with fire.

Aiden
"Mama stop it." Aiden holds my hand squeezing it.

Kim
"I just want to make sure she isn't a gold digger."

Rose
"I'm not. I make my own money."

Kim
"Before or after you start dating my son."

Rose
"Before." I think she got me confused with someone else. I work hard to get what I have and she is not to degrade me. I wanted to say something but I hold my tongue because she's Aiden's mom and my mom told me to respect my elders.

Callisto
"Kim stop! sei scortese." (You are being rude)

Kim
"Perché ti interessi?" (Why do you care)? "vuoi fare sesso con lei?" (You want to have sex with her)?

Callisto
"It's called respect."

Kim
"Non mi rispettava quando ti chiamava a qualsiasi ora del giorno." (She didn't respect me when she calls you all day.)

"Non poteva nemmeno varcare la soglia per presentarsi prima di firmare quel contratto!" (She couldn't even walk through that door to introduce herself before she sign the contract!)
