i never really took the time to realize how bakugo felt. i didn't realize how much he cared for 1-a even though he usually pushes us down.

maybe he does it because of the affect on midoriya. it doesn't justify it or glorify it, but maybe he just wants to make us our best selves.

me and him walk around campus as the dark sky loomed over us. we couldn't see much and it seemed like nothing was going on.

"bakugo, why do you treat us the way you do?" i asked, i was overall really curious and there's no place to assume.

"i treat you guys the way i do because i don't know how to show i care sometimes, and since we're all striving to be the number one hero, i might as well put you in your place so you can get stronger and want to work harder." bakugo answered fully, shrugging.

"oh- i never would've known," i mumbled as we walked around.

"i mean, take deku for example! i regret a few things i did say back in our younger years, but hes becoming more powerful as the days pass, i'm happy for him." bakugo told me genuinely.

"i thought you hated him?"

"key word, hated. i'm still a bit jealous here and there but i'm happy i'm finally getting some worthy competition as well." 

"so it was all to your good, wasn't it?"

"nope! the more strength someone has who goes against me, the stronger i get. therefore i'm making the whole class stronger."

"woah," i paused to rethink about everything i thought i knew about bakugo, "you really know what you're doing."

"hell yeah i do."

we continued to walk around campus as the conversation continued fully. it was nice getting on a friendly level with bakugo instead of always seeing him as mean or rude.

eventually though, we turned back because nothing seemed disturbed or out of place. we couldn't find midoriya either.

i hope he's okay.
