Chapter 12
The rest of the day went fairly normally. Well if it was normal for all powerful gods and demigods to throw a fit over a bad teacher. When Harry and the others retired to their chambers they noticed a sign tacked to the door of their wall.
TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT
THE DELEGATIONS FROM BEAUXBATONS AND DRUMSTRANGE WILL BE ARRIVING AT 6'OCLOCK ON FRIDAY TEH 30TH OF OCTOBER. LESSONS WILL END HALF AN HOUR EARLY. STUDENTS WILL RETURN THEIR BAGS AND BOOKS TO THEIR DORMITORIES AND ASSEMBLE IN THE FRONT OF TEH CASTLE TO GREET OUR GUESTS BEFORE THE WELCOME FEAST.
Harry smiled as he listened to people eagerly talk to their friends all at once.
"How the Hades did this get here?" Hera demanded which got her a dark glare from Hades himself.
"Who cares? Its gladiator games! I can't wait!" Ares yelled fist pumping with Clarisse(neither noticed the picture of pink ponies Hermes and the Stoll twins attached to their backs.)
Days passed by in a blink of an eye and before they knew it they were standing outside the castle waiting for the new students to arrive. The great black lake glimmered under the October sun and the leaves in the forest rustled and swayed with the wind. The leaves were oddly green and Harry suspected it had something to do with The goddess of spring and her daughter but it wouldn't stay long judging from the annoyed looks Zeus was shooting her.
"It's almost 6'oclock." Poseidon said checking his watch as he stood behind Percy.
"How long do we have to stay here?" Travis whined which caused Thalia to smack him on the head and shout, "Man up!". Something that made everyone around them laugh and Artemis to give her an approving nod.
"I look so stupid." Nico sighed as the borrowed witch hat fell of his head again causing him to grumble. Hades patted his shoulder consolingly and tried to hold back laughter as he suppressed the side that cooed over how cute Nico looked.
Harry smiled as a large ship emerged from the water gaining lots of surprised gasps from the crowd.
"I've seen better ships. And entrances. Most of which are caused by Zeus the drama queen." Poseidon remarked while Zeus hit him over the head as Hades laughed.
The Beauxbatons carriage arrived much to the girls and boys enjoyment on how pretty the Pegasus were.
"I've seen better." Draco commented from Harry's left. Percy snorted and the Pegasus snickered.
"Draco I wouldn't go near the Pegasus if I were you. They're saying some pretty mean things about you." Percy said laughing.
Sadly the students were tired from the trip and stayed in their modes of transport which were adjustable for sleeping. The boat had rooms built in and with a bit of magic the carriage was made into something that rivalled a five star hotel.
"Wow. They have expensive taste." Harry said as he walked along the path back to the castle.
"Seriously? Your friends with literal Greek Gods and a Malfoy. If you think that's expensive you have something else coming for you." Draco said snorting.
"Wait. You know about them being Greek Gods? How? And why didn't you tell me before? Why?" Harry asked feeling betrayed that they told Draco instead of him. Even worse Draco didn't mention anything. He wouldn't even have known if he hadn't figured it out.
"No... No. Your getting it wrong. Listen okay. Please. I didn't mean to keep it from you. I thought since you knew I wouldn't have to tell. The only reason I know is because Aphrodite is family." Draco said trying to make Harry understand. He didn't want to loose Harry. He honestly didn't say anything because he thought he knew and didn't want to accidently slip up about Harry's parentage.
"Family?" Harry questioned as he tilted his head,(a move that both the gods and demigods agreed made him look even cuter.)
"Yes... She's my grandmother. She had an affair with my grandfather and then had to leave because she couldn't stay with him." Draco replied breaking the news to Harry.
"Oh... so what's it like? Having Aphrodite as a grandmother?" Harry asked recovering from his shock as soon as he remembered how old the Gods were.
"Its nice. I never had a good relationship with my foster grandmother. We never saw eye to eye and well this explains it. My father was especially happy with the news. Aphrodite and him met some time ago after and clicked instantly. We always thought we looked different. At that time we put it of as nothing but now it explains everything." Draco answered shrugging.
Harry nodded and they walked quietly back to the castle. When they were about to leave to their own chambers, Harry turned to look at Draco. "I'm happy you found your family Draco. Don't let it go." He bumped his shoulder into his friends and muttered quietly, "At least someone did. Your lucky to have yours." With that he turned and left.
Draco sighed as he watched Harry leave.
"And hopefully you'll release you've found yours too."
