Chapter 109: Moment to ourselves

Y/N's POV

Me and Clem walked over to the belltower. The stairs were gone, so we had to climb.

Y/N: There just had to be no stairs.

Clementine: We can still climb.

Y/N: Yeah. I know.

We both started to climb up the belltower.

Clementine: Well, let's go check out the traps.

Y/N: Right behind you.

We check everything up here. We are all good to go.

Y/N: All right. Everything looks good.

Clementine: You think we are ready.

Y/N: I think so.

Clementine: Well then. Violet said we could relax up here. And that we can look at the view.

Y/N: We should. Before Ruby finishes.

Clementine: Good idea.

We walked to the edge of the building and sat down. Violet wasn't kidding.

Clementine: It's so...beautiful.

Y/N: Would saying not as beautiful as you ruin the moment?

Clem lets out a small giggle.

Clementine: No, but that's very corny though.

Y/N: I know you like it when I call you beautiful.

I smile at her. She smiles back.

Clementine: Yes. I do.

She lays her head down on my shoulder.

Clementine: Too bad Ruby will finish up soon. I want to stay up here. With you.

Y/N: I would love that.

We look up at the sky.

Y/N: God I hope this never ends.

Clementine: I want to enjoy this. For a while longer.

I reach into my back pocket. I still have the diamond ring that I got from Wellington.

Y/N: Hey Clem?

Clem looks at me.

Clementine: Yes?

Y/N: I want to ask you something.

Clementine: What is it?

Y/N: We have been together for years.

Clementine: We have.

Y/N: I was wondering..... We can't really marry each other. But I would like to call us that.

Clem looks at me shocked, then with a smile.

Clementine: I would love to. We can have our own wedding.

Y/N: We could have Lee, Kenny, Duck, Carley, and Sarita help.

Clementine: I was thinking the same thing.

We then start to make out. It lasts a bit.

Ruby: Clem? Y/N? Y'all out here?

Y/N: That was fun while it lasted.

Clementine: We can continue later.

We both smile as we climbed down the belltower.
