Justin and Za in picture :)

Melissa's POV:

I move around in my sleep as I attempt to get comfortable, and I feel strong arms around me.

Justin must have woken up in the middle of the night with Bella and realized I was here.

I feel Justin press his body against mines, making me smile a little.

His warm puffs of breath hit the back of my neck as his arms pull me back into his chest, making me feel secure and protected.

I try my best and go to sleep once more, even though it's my off day.

* Morning *

I hum to myself as I continue to make breakfast for Justin and I, Bella still asleep.

I flip the bacon in the pan, then feel strong arms snake around my waist, hugging me from behind.

"Morning baby girl."

"Morning Justin."

I turn my head and peck his lips, his grip getting tighter.

"What time did you come in last night baby?"

"Around 9:30," I answer.

"I fell asleep with Bella in my arms last night. She really didn't wanna go to sleep."

I smile a little.

"I know. I saw. It was actually adorable."

"How was work? Any problems with your boss?"

"Umm...," I struggle at a loss for words.

I move away from the stove and to the counter, plating our breakfast while Justin's arms remain wrapped around me.

"What's up with the hesitation?"

"Nothing," I quickly reply.

Justin unwraps his arms around me, turning me around to face him.

He cups my face in his hands, caressing my cheeks with his thumbs.

"Melissa, you promised you'd tell me anything."

"I know. I know. Bu-"

"Then, tell me. Please? I just wanna protect you. I already lost my mom. I'm not losing you or Bella."

He lets go of my hand before rewrapping his arms around me, pulling me close.

I take a deep breath.

"My boss asked us to come to his house for dinner..."

Justin's eyebrows furrow as I see him get upset.

"Why?"

"I don't know Justin. I guess so he could get to know me better as an assistant. Maybe if I'll go, he'll see how dedicated I actually am to this job. He'll trust me with anything."

He shakes his head.

"Fuck no. I know if I go, his ass is getting shot," he tells me.

"So, would you prefer for me to go alone?"

He scoffs.

"Who says you have to fuckin' go?," he spats.

"No one, but-"

"Fuckin' exactly. I don't trust that motherfucker."

"Why not? It's just dinner," I point out.

"Melissa, have you seen him? He's good looking and you're beautiful. He's bound to have thoughts."
