Book 1 in the "Danger By Association" Series. French organized crime has an up-and-coming family that is suddenly forced to relocate to the States. Within the family, young Marius Gray is sent to senior year in their new city to help them make important connections. He is reluctant to do so because the high schoolers in America have a much different dynamic than in France. He was revered by young people due to his family's name in his former home of Lyon and now he is seen as cold and disagreeable which only makes him more like that. His family and their business are important to him so he continues to attend for their benefit. Céline returns to her former high school after 2 years of relocation to Canada. She is excited to return where the air gets warm and see old friends. She will find that much has changed. Not only have her old friends changed and some have moved on, but there is a new senior at her school who is very rude but keeps popping up unexpectedly. He seems very entitled and yet older than his years. Somehow they end up unlikely friends or as much of a friend as Marius Gray will allow even though she was never supposed to be a part of his equation. ~ Playlist: The Devil Doesn't Bargain Wish You the Best- Lewis Capaldi You Were There for Me- Henry Moodie Crown- Elise Kristine Fine- Kyle Hume Love is Gone ft.
