Prior to their departure, Quinn observed peculiar changes in Opal's demeanor; he exhibited a propensity for conversing in a markedly more formal manner than he had prior to reuniting with Quinn and the housefolk, and he seemed already acquainted with the names of the wildcats. Upon their assimilation into their respective clans, the duo adopts the monikers of Blackpaw for Quinn and Opalpaw for Opal. The two swiftly become aware of two former leaders, Blackstar and Opalstar, primarily due to the initial confusion surrounding their spectral resemblances.
