ADIRA'S POV
We poofed into Bobby's house and started looking around. "Man, I wonder who Bobby's baby mama is?" I asked as I looked around in the living room. I turned my attention to Luke when I heard him scoff.
" Bobby's house is ridiculous. Have you seen his platinum records?" Alex asked as he came back. " Platinum?" Reggie repeated. I looked over at one of the records with Luke. " He recorded "My Name Is Luke! My name is Luke" Luke told the us.
" If that isn't a clear sign of song stealing, I don't know what is" I mumbled and then the door opened. " It's him!" Reggie said as we walked right by the stairs. Bobby stopped. "Hey, Carrie. I'm gonna meditate" he called out.
" He wears sunglasses indoors. I can't stand him" Reggie said to Luke. " If I could touch him, I'd kill him. He really has some nerve" I said.
" Time for his past to haunt him" Luke said and I nodded. We rushed up stairs but stopped when Alex said something. " Wait! Let's not rush this. You know, it my... Its my first time haunting someone. I wanna make it special" I nodded even though it sounded weird. "Where are you going?" Luke asked, I stopped and turned around. "There's one thing I have to do on my own" I said and pushed lashed them up the stairs.
3rd PERSON POV
Julie and Flynn finally made it to Carrie's house. As they ran to the front door they hurried and rang the doorbell. " Hey!" Julie and Flynn said in unison as Carrie opened the door. " What are you two doing here? How'd you get over the security gate?" Carrie asked with her usual snappy tone.
" Teamwork! Do you have a Band-aid? The barbed wires new" Julie chuckled as she showed her hands. " What do you want?" Carrie was done with the games. " Uh... Just thought you should know that Julie's band is playing at the dance tonight" Flynn came up with a quick lie. " Now you know" Julie followed her plan.
" You guys are acting weirder than usual" Carrie said as she looked between them weirdly. " Probably because we're thirsty. Can we come in for a glass of water?" Julie asked. "Ugh! Fine, if it'll make you leave faster. Don't break anything" Carrie opened the door a little wider to let them in.
While the boys were doing their own thing, Adira wanted to settle her own score with him. This was super personal to her. Friendships that were broken up because of him. All the hatred and anger that sat heavily on her chest for years, was because of Bobby.
She poofed into what she thought was his office. Adira looked around and stopped when she saw a picture on his desk. It was a picture of all of them, even herself. "You get me kicked out, but still have a picture of me like we're friends? How does that make sense?" She mumbled. All this anger bubbled up again and she smashed it to the ground. Looking around she tossed and threw a few things.
After taking a deep breath, she composed herself and poofed back to where the guys were. "You good?" Reggie asked, seeing as he noticed her first. "Totally. I feel a lot better now. That was something I needed to do for a long time" Adira exhaled. "Ok, one more thing" Luke said as they poofed away.
ADIRA'S POV
We poofed out to the backyard to see him leaving on his fancy helicopter. " Oh, quick! Let's moon him before he gets too far away" Reggie said enthusiastically but I immediately disagreed. " He can't see us" Alex said. "It's not for him, it's for us" Luke managed to convince him.
I sighed in relief as I saw Julie come out. "Avert your eyes, girl" I said as I held my hand in front of her. "So, did you have fun in there?" She asked sarcastically, but I nodded my head. I'm not gonna apologize for scaring him.
" Ok, you'd do the exact same if he stole all your songs" Luke said as they pulled up their pants. " But you have new songs. With me. The best way to get back at Trevor is for this band to do great. And to do great, we have to play dances, then clubs" Julie repeated Luke's words back to him. " And tours. We know" I said to her. I did feel bad about running out on her.
" We go on at 9:00. Please don't be late. There's gonna be a lot of people there" Julie reminded us as she looked up at me. " We got it, all right? Don't worry" Alex reassured her. Julie sighed and left back inside.
" I don't care what Julie says. I'm glad we scared Bobby" Reggie said first after she left. And I had to agree. " We should've done more. Like, take the lyrics of the songs he stole and put them up everywhere with "thief" written on them" I gave a suggestion of what we should've done. Honestly? I'll do it, just let me know when.
" And, Alex, how'd you shut the door? You could barely open the garage door" Luke asked. " Learned that from Willie, didn't you?" Reggie asked with a suggestive tone. " Yea. Well, he taught me some things, and we screamed in a museum. It's a long story" I nodded because I needed to know everything about this.
" You think he had a few more tricks up his sleeve?" Luke asked. " Let's find out" Alex replied as we poofed away to where Willie apparently hangs out.
" Hey!" Willie cheered as he skated up to us. "What's up, man? You brought friends" Willie said as he and Alex did a handshake. " Yea. These are my band mates, uh, Luke, Adira, and Reggie" Alex introduced us as we shook hands. He was definitely cute.
I looked a little ways past him and saw somebody I thought I wouldn't see again for a while. I didn't know he knew how to skate board. "Uh, hey man. Guys, this is my friend, Miliano" Willie introduced. "What up? Oh, back so soon? You just couldn't resist, huh?" Miliano turned to me and stepped forward. "Oh, I thought about you as soon as I left" I said with a teasing smile. "Well, come here pretty lady, give me a hug!" He exclaimed and I smiled at him.
"I didn't know you met another ghost" Luke's voice broke our eye contact. "Oh, yea it just happened today" I said as I felt Miliano's arm resting on my shoulder. "It all just happened so fast. And look where we are now? She just couldn't stay away" I rolled my eyes playfully and stood back with the guys.
"This is Luke, Reggie, and Alex. As you guys know, this is Miliano" I introduced. Willie started talking, but Alex pulled me closer. "Pretty lady? That's new" he whispered. "It's new because we met a couple hours ago. Now, focus on your crush. Oh, I'm sorry, your ghost friend" I teased him. It caused Alex to blush, which ended the conversation.
We turned out attention to the loud police sirens that Willie made go off with a wave of his fingers. " Do it again! Do it again!" Reggie cheered. " Actually, we were thinking a little bigger" I said.
" An old bandmate stole from us. We wanna confront him face-to-face" Luke explained a little more. " All right. Is this, uh, old friend of yours a lifer?" Willie asked but we looked at him confused. " Oh! That's fancy ghost lingo for the living. Little something I picked up" Alex whispered to us.
" Ah! Then, yeah! He's a lifer. Too much of a fancy-pants for street dogs" Reggie shaded Bobby as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Yea, I'm sorry. Speaking to lifers is even out of my league" I sighed but looked over at Miliano.
" Can you teach us?" I asked. "Sadly, I can't. I only know a few things" he said. I nodded in understanding, it took me awhile to get used to being a ghost.
I looked over at Luke who was still eyeballing him suspiciously. I nodded and turned back to Willie as I elbowed Luke. "There is one ghost who might be able to help you guys. He's kind of a big deal" Willie offered another solution.
" Literally, anything would help" Luke urged him to tell us. " oh, all right. Well, um, I gotta go take care of some things, but I'll meet you where Alex and I met, eight o'clock" Willie skated away. I turned to see Miliano still standing there with that stupid, attractive smirk on his face.
"Will you be there?" I asked. "Oh, you wanna see me again, pretty lady?" He asked teasingly. "No, I'm just curious" I replied with a smile. "Well, come and find out. Don't be late, Adira" he shot me a wink and skated off.
"He seems cool" Reggie spoke first after they left. "Yea, he's cool" I mumbled and turned back to the guys. When Milano told me to not be late, I couldn't help but think of Julie. I didn't want to let her down. "Um, actually, you guys. You can go without me" I said, causing them to look weirdly at me. "Yea, I've gotten all my anger out on Bobby. You three have fun. Don't be late" I warned before snapping my fingers and poofing away.
AUTHORS NOTE
So, you guys have met my character Miliano, who is played by Xolo Maridueña. I don't know exactly why I chose him, but I feel like he fits Miliano's aesthetic. But, we'll definitely see some drama a little between Luke, Adira, and Miliano.
I can't wait for it.
