3RD Person
Axle, Ahsoka, Rex and the droids are trapped in the medical room with clones slowly breaching the doors. "How are we gonna get out of here?" Rex asked, putting on his helmet.
Axle was sitting down hiding his face in his knees. Ahsoka bent down and put her hand on his shoulder, "Axle.....Are you ok?" Axle slowly looked up at her, tears streaming down his face, "I failed. I failed everyone. You, Rex, Anakin. Even the entire Republic. The very people I called brothers are hunting us down by orders of Palpatine. And I was too late to stop it. I'm going to die knowing I let you down." He turned away from her. "Axle....you will never let me down. You protect me and I protect you. Whatever happens, we face it together." Ahsoka said as he stood up, "Together." he repeated.
She then turned toward the door, "I have an idea." "Which is?" Rex said, pulling out his pistols, "Just set those things to stun. We're not trying to kill anyone." Ahsoka finished. "Well tell that to them." Rex says switching his pistols to non-lethal.
The doors were almost breached. "They're almost through." Rex panicked, aiming at the doors. "Wait." Ahsoka responds. "On your mark." Axle says standing next to her. Ahsoka kept looking at the door, "Wait..........Now!"
Axle and Ahsoka force pushed the door making it fly forward. They ran out and incapacitated the clones. More soon came in. Axle and Ahsoka did their best with blocking. "R7, find us a way out of here." Ahsoka ordered the droid. R7 closed all the blast doors until one exit was left.
They defeated the rest of the troopers and ran down the hall. "The escape pods are destroyed. Taking a shuttle is our best bet." Ahsoka explains. "Guess the boys are having a rough time. Did you hear Maul also escaped?" Rex asked. Ahsoka continued, "He didn't escape, I let him out." Rex was shocked, "What? Why?" "Don't ask me. She was the one that made the decision." Axle responded. "He's a diversion." Ahsoka explained as they continued down the hall.

A sudden jolt forced the trio to fall over. "Um, I take it that was bad." Axle said getting up. "I don't like the sound of that." Rex answered as they reached the hangar control room. They opened the door and ran in. Rex stunned the officers present. "The hangar bay doors are sealed. They've got everything locked down. If they weren't trying to kill us, I'd be proud." Rex reported. Axle started to push buttons, "There's not many fighters available, so if we do escape, they can't pursue us with a full force. The shuttle is still there." Ahsoka turned to R7, "R7, start unlocking the doors on bay 12." The droid replied and hacked into the controls.
One of the droids reported. Rex was confused, "What do you mean the hyperdrive is offline?" The droid explained as the group was in complete surprise. "Destroyed...It's completely gone?" Rex answered. "Good thing we'll be off this ship soon so we don't have to worry about it." Axle said. A screen then showed up, "We're caught in that moon's gravitational field." Rex informed. "R7, open the main hangar doors." Ahsoka ordered. The big red doors opened. The moon was right there. They were on a crash course. "We need to get out of here." Ahsoka said, holding Axle's hand.
R7 opened the fighter doors, but Jesse along with most of the 332nd company emerged and ran up to the middle of the fighter runway. "They were waiting for us." Rex started, "So what do we do? Fight our way to the shuttle?" "There's too many." Ahsoka said. "I don't want to hurt them." Axle said as he planted a hand on the wall. "I hate to tell you this, but they don't care. This ship is going down, and those soldiers, my brothers...are willing to die and take you and me along with them." Axle looked at his old friend. He could sense his sadness. Ahsoka looked up at the clone commander. She removed his helmet revealing tears all over his face. "They may be willing to die, but I'm not the one who is going to kill them." Ahsoka ensured her friend. "I promise you that." Axle said, putting his hand on Rex's shoulder. "You're a good soldier Rex. and so is everyone else of those men down there." Ahsoka said. Then they all looked at each other in a circle and brought each other into a hug. "So, we're just going to surrender? Admit defeat? Is that it?" Rex asked. "No." Axle said. He smiled at his two lifelong friends. "Well I don't see any other option." Rex said, grabbing his helmet. Ahsoka looked out the windows looking at the other clones. She looked over to Axle who put his arm around her. She did the same as they looked down at their friends. "I have an idea." Ahsoka says looking at Rex who had a questionable look on his face. "Don't worry, it's a good one. I think." Axle smirked at her, "We've fought by each other's side for so long. Let's do it one more time."

Rex held the two ex Jedi at gunpoint and walked toward the clones, "HOLD YOUR FIRE!!!" The clones focused their blasters on the three. "I said hold your fire Jesse." Rex ordered again, "I have the situation under control." Jesse still wouldn't move, "You have your orders sir. Now execute it, or I will." Rex stopped and looked at his friend, "The order was to execute the Jedi for treason against the Republic. The problem is, Axle Tinguard and Ahsoka Tano are no longer Jedi. Haven't been for some time." Jesse lowered his blasters, "Sir, you said yourself that we are under special order from Darth Sidious to eliminate Axle Tinguard and Ahsoka Tano and any other clone who disobeyed order 66." Ahsoka looked over to the droids, "Just keep them talking a little longer." Rex thought for a second, "Jesse. Jesse listen to me, we've known each other a long time. If we don't get this right, we will be the ones committing treason, not them." Axle spoke up, "JESSE!!! We've been friends since we first met on Tatooine. I left the Jedi order because I saw it for what it truly was. Ahsoka did the same thing. We also valued your lives as Master Plo also explained numerous times. Jesse, you are being controlled. Break free." Jesse took a long pause, "Commander Rex, you're in violation of order 66. I accuse you of treason against the Grand Army of the Republic. You will be demoted in rank from Commander and subjected to execution along with the traitors Axle Tinguard and Ahsoka Tano." Axle then looked over to Ahsoka, "Wow, those chips are powerful." Ahsoka then looked toward Rex, "Ready?" Rex looked back at them, "Yea I never really liked being a commander anyway." "Company, ready. Aim......" Jesse was cut off by sirens. "NOW!!!" Ahsoka then pulled out her sabers as Axle did the same, the lifts that the clones were standing on dropped. Ahsoka then force pushed Jesse down with them.
Axle and Ahsoka kept pushing the clones down the hole and made for the shuttle. More clones opened fire on the three. They almost made it to the shuttle when Maul ran in. They chased after him. Maul then turned around, "You wanted this chaos?" he said force throwing crates at them. Axle tried to force Maul toward him, but Maul threw more metal in his direction. Ahsoka ran up to the Zabrak , almost striking him. Maul force pushed her away. She flew all the way to the hole where the clones fell. Ahsoka tried to climb out with her sabers. "AHSOKA!!!" Axle yelled, running over to her and helping her up. The clones kept firing at them. Maul started up the ship and it slowly took off.
After Axle helped her up, they ran toward the shuttle. Maul was about to make his escape when the two force users held him in place. "Even after I gave him sympathy." Axle said angrily, still trying to hold the shuttle in place. Ahsoka was being pulled by the shuttle and Axle quickly reached out to grab her. He too was starting to slip from the thrust of the ship. Rex grabbed his arm and tried to pull them back. Rex was then shot in the shoulder. Clones kept blasting at them and they were forced to release the shuttle as it flew off.
They were completely surrounded. Rex stood in the middle of the two ex Jedi as they continued to block. "There's an old Jedi shuttle........down below.......But it's hyperdrive needs maintenance......The fuel tanks have only enough to get us to the closest civilized planet." Axle informed. Ahsoka threw her sabers into the floor and circled them around the trio. Axle looked down at her sabers. He then looked up at the clones and waved at them. Rex looked down in panic as the metal floor fell to the lower level.
Axle helped Rex up, "The shuttle should be at the end of the tunnel." Jesse and more clones turned toward them and started blasting. "I forgot there were more down here." Axle yelled following Ahsoka. They were pinned down and they took cover behind a pillar.
Rex laid down cover fire. Axle thought for a moment, "Ahsoka." he said, grabbing her arm. She disengaged her lightsabers and looked at him as he continued, "I may never get another chance to say this to you. I.....I love you." Ahsoka was a bit surprised as it was her first time hearing Axle say that directly to her. "I...I love you too." She answered staring into his eyes. Rex turned around dodging a blaster bolt when Axle and Ahsoka kissed. They put their heads together, Axle looked in her eyes, "What are we doin?" he said smiling at her. After a couple seconds Rex interrupted, "I hate to break this up, but WE GOTTA MOVE!!!"
They ran out from the pillar and continued to round a corner when the Jedi shuttle could be seen. "THERE!!!" Ahsoka yelled as they ran toward the ship. They continued to block the bolts as Rex fired back. Ahsoka and Axle force pushed Rex onto the shuttle's ramp. He quickly got into the cockpit and started up the engines. The two force users then jumped onto the ramp. They heard a scream and saw Jesse jumping onto the ramp as well. He tried to punch Axle, but the ex Jedi pushed his helmet into a metal pole. Jesse fell back and off the ramp. Axle quickly grabbed Jesse's hand. His helmet fell off and he looked up at his old friend. "We were always meant for this." the ARC trooper said smiling, "I'm sorry.....General." Jesse then let go of Axle's hand and he fell back onto the crashing cruiser. Axle tried to reach out and grab him, but the shuttle dropped out of the hangar and flew off. The trio looked at the crashing Venator hitting the surface.
After landing next to the crash. Rex walked over to the small shuttle carrying destroyed pieces of R7. He then looked over at the two Gray Jedi. Axle and Ahsoka stood in front of the bodies they've buried. They looked at every single one of their friends. Axle had his short black sleeveless Gray Jedi robe on and stood next to Ahsoka who wore a grey teared up robe. Axle wouldn't take his eyes off of his dead friends. He remembered when they considered him a brother. Axle then slowly removed his hood and saluted to the dead. He then stared at Jesse's helmet for the longest time. Ahsoka removed her hood and saluted as well. They put their hands down. Axle disconnected his shoto from his single blade. He then placed it in front of Jesse's grave. Ahsoka then pulled out one of her sabers and dropped it to the ground. They continued to look at the dead. Ahsoka couldn't hold it in anymore and she burst into tears. Axle brought her into a hug as he too felt tears on his face. They turned around and held each other as tight as they could and walked away.
