"do you need something?" jeonghan was in the middle of texting another disgusting and fake angry text to seungcheol when he arrived at his door. "why does it always feel like you care more about the boys than about me?" jeonghan said, voice getting thin. seungcheol knew what to do. it wasn't often that jeonghan's voice did That Thing, but it usually meant he'd been holding something in him for a long time. for seungcheol, this meant fixing it with lots of cuddling and kisses and whispering and sweet affirmation.
jeonghan would soak all of it up, his worries getting lifted off him so easily as if they were him on a tired night, seungcheol gently carrying him to safe and sound.
had seungcheol really been not caring about jeonghan? well, he had been doing a lot of work and maintenance for the building and was constantly in work-mode, never really having the right frame of mind for him and jeonghan to just sit and watch the traffic go by... maybe he really wasn't giving jeonghan the attention he needed.
of course, whispering his affections and apologies in between soft kisses always worked. jeonghan especially loved to feel seungcheol soft lips lightly grace the tip of his nose or his temple, where seungcheol would run his fingers through jeonghan's hair so that he could reach that area.
"next time just call for me okay? you don't have to spam me. i'm right here." seungcheol whispered in finality. jeonghan's eyes fluttered open, "okay," and then he smiled at seungcheol, the dazzle hitting him and sending shivers all over.
ah, but it always ended this way and when jeonghan needed attention again, he'd go right back to texting seungcheol.

"can't believe we're actually accepting getting bossed around by kids! literal kids!" seokmin exclaimed, exasperated. he and joshua were making their way to their shop, extra ingredients in their hands. joshua shook his head, "do what you gotta do, i guess."
two brown haired kids stood by their shop's glass doors, obviously looking a little disgruntled. "you're late." the boy said, looking at this watch. "by two minutes." the girl added, "being on time is one of the most important steps in managing. please do better next time."
seokmin's mouth hung open shock. these are kids there are kids.. you can't hit them, they're kids- "we'll do better." joshua went along and opened up shop, the bell above the entrance ringing a sweet tune. seokmin's shock grew. why was jisoo going with it?! sure, they weren't being rude but.. their mannerisms! it was as if they weren't talking to two grown adults.
the two kids immediately took the table in front of the register. "this is good. good lights, not too many shadows. table's clean too," the girl nodded at her brother. "we'll do it here." seokmin hardly could move watching the two while joshua just continued setting up. "don't dilly-dally, minnie. we have people to please." something burned in seokmin. maybe he liked kids a little less now.
