The night so peacefully comes sweeping in.
It's velvety onyx skies.
Embraces me like a dear friend.
It's whispers rustle in my ears.
Like endearments from a close friend.
A soft breeze that caresses your cheek.
Never disappointing when tranquility I seek.
The night speaks to me as I gaze at the stars.
They wink so mischievously at me.
As if they see the secrets I hold in my mind.
Out in my rose garden lost in time.
The perfect end of a glorious day.
Laying by glinting moonlight.
My soul embraces the peace of the night.
The sweet scent of rose tantalizing the air.
Aware only of natures beauty.
My mind wanders to loved ones far away.
Wondering if they to gaze at the stars.
Remembering me as they rest from afar.
The night shall forever be apart of me.
It's splendor shines.
The night, my most treasured times.
