Newts POV
"Hey Newt." Alby muttered while heading to the tree house.
"How is Ben doing?" Asked Newt opening the door.
"Not good. He screams all the time because of the changing."
The both of them started to climb the tree steps to the top.
"So how was your day with the greenie?" Asked Alby.
"He has a name." Said Newt surprising himself.
Alby raised his arm. "Alright, sorry. How was your day with Tom, Tommy or Thomas?"
"He looked scared and confused." Newt added. "Just like the others."
"Good." Said Alby. "Dont forget that you'll have to show him the jobs tomorrow. Now lets see Ben."

Thomas POV
"Wow!" Exclaimed Chuck. "Are you hungry or you always eat like this?"
"I'm probably just hungry. But this is so good." He tried to say with his full mouth.
They remained in silence for minutes.
Thomas was still confused and no one - even Chuck - would explain anything to him.
"I want to see Newt." Said Thomas.
"Now?" Chuck got up. "You cant! He's working on Bens changing on the tree house."
"I want to see Newt." Thomas repeated and headed outside the kitchen.
It was already dark outside, but he could see a tree in the glade.
He started to head there and ignored Chuck behind him screaming.
When he got there, he saw a bunch of boys.
"Hey Greenie."
Thomas ignored them and headed to the door.
"Wow, you cant enter greenie."
"And who do you think you are to stop me?" Asked Thomas.
"I'm Gally. Commander Gally." The others laughed on his last two words.
"I want to talk to Newt."
"Well, you'll have to wait for him to get down."
"What if I dont want to wait?"
"Look greenie, if you want to get in trouble, go ahead."
Thomas hesitated for a second and then started to climb the tree steps.
Newts POV
"Calm the shank down, Ben." Said Newt.
Newt and Alby were taking care of Ben, who was going through the changing.
His screams were loud and terrible, but he had got used to it.
He could hear Gally and his friends laughing down there. Gally had probably made a lame joke.
The door opened.
"What in the name of the grievers are you doing here?" Asked Alby screaming.
Thomas was at the door, looking confused and scared.
"I want to talk to Newt." He noticed Ben there and almost threw up.
"YOU WANT TO SEE NEWT? WELL YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT GREENIES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COME UP HERE, ITS THE RULE."
"I dont know whats happening, I just want to talk to Newt."
Newt looked at Thomas and he looked back at Newt, trying to say something.
Before Alby could open his mouth, Newt decided to say. "Alby, take care of Ben, I'll be right back."
Alby muttered unintelligent words.
"Follow me, Tommy."
Thomas followed Newt out of the tree and headed to the woods.
Newt sat down on one tree and said. "Talk, Tommy."
Thomas was too surprised to say anything.
"I-I... eh... I am so confused with everything that has been happening. I dont know whats going on, everything here seems familiar and I just dont understand." Thomas started to cry.
Newt put his hand on Thomas shoulder. "Look, we all had the first day, we cant tell you everything today or you will pass out. Its just too much to process, but you'll be fine, I promise."
Thomas was looking at the ground. He raised his head and looked at Newt. His brown eyes were now red and puffy.
"Thanks, Newt." He said.
Newt started to walk away and looked behind his shoulder just to make sure Thomas was ok.
"You're welcome, Tommy."
