You had accidentally strayed too far away from captain hook and his ship. You and his crew were all on Neverland because Hook had to retrieve something that belonged to him. He had told you that the heinous Peter Pan had taken something of his, and he was bound to get it back.

You were wandering on the island, making sure you looked out for Dreamshade when you realized that you had gotten lost in the sights and wandered from the rest of the crew. The island was beautiful, yes, but very large and very easy to get lost in. You looked around for a bit, trying to find a familiar path, but you couldn't identify anything familiar.

You managed to keep your calm despite the situation. You knew that you could get lost on the island and get discovered by Peter Pan, but you didn't want to think about that.

Speak of the devil, you heard a voice behind you and when you turned to look, you saw none other than the devil himself.

"Are you lost?" he asked. You took a step back in alert. "You look lost to me."

"Y-you're... You're-"

"Peter Pan?" he interrupted. "Yes, that's me. Who are you?"

"I feel like I shouldn't give you that information, Pan," you told him, squinting your eyes at him.

"Well then, this should be interesting," he said, smirking while walking closer to you. You took another step back but he was quicker and knocked you out.

++++

You woke up on the ground, having no clue where you were. You were probably still on Neverland, but you had no idea where. Peter Pan had taken you somewhere unfamiliar. You stood up and quickly brushed off some of the dirt that had gotten on you.

You had worn light clothing consisting of leggings, black ankle boots, a white t-shirt and a grey cloak given to you by Hook. Not really good travel wear, but you didn't think that you'd really be wandering the island that much, let alone get kidnapped.

You look around to see your surroundings when all of a sudden, a group of boys came out of the trees from all directions, making a somewhat defective circle around you. Instinctively, you reached for the belt that held your dagger, only to find it had been removed.

"Ugh, I'm going to kill you, Pan,' you said quietly.

A few of the boys stepped apart, breaking the non-uniformed small circle to let Pan step through.

"That's going to be a lot harder than it looks, love," he said, the circle closing again behind him. He walked closer to you until he was close enough to grab you. You didn't step back because you knew there was nowhere to go, Instead, you stood taller, trying to show your confidence.

"Would you like to tell me your name yet? It would be helpful for our next little activity," he said, a smirk appearing on his face.

You gave him a confused look. "Activity?" you asked him.

"Yes, we are going to play a little game. See my lost boys here," he said, gesturing to the circle of boys that surrounded us. "They have been a little bored recently,  and unfortunately, love, you've fallen victim."

Crap. You knew Pan's games weren't always fair. He could care less whether you lived or died, which meant you were probably going to die.

"I don't want to play your stupid game, Pan," you glowered at him.

"Well, sadly, you don't get that choice, love," he lowered his gaze to scan your body, smirking once he met your eyes again. You scrunched up your face and punched him unexpectedly, causing him to stumble sideways. This caused a few noises of surprise to come from the lost boys.

Once he regained himself from the shock that you had actually just hit him, he laughed and walked closer to you. "So, we're playing this game?" he said, suddenly pushing you backward, causing you to fall. You tried to catch yourself with your hands, but the force was so much that you ended up hitting your head on the ground. "A game you are definitely going to lose."

You stood up, wiping the dirt off of yourself yet again. "What's the stupid game you're wanting me to play, Pan," you asked, very annoyed. "And stop calling me love."

"Then what should I call you? Your name?" He asked, taking a step closer to you, not breaking eye contact.

You shook your head. "No," you told him. He smiled slyly.

"Fine, then." You rolled your eyes. "Here are the rules for the game. You can go anywhere on the island and you get a 5-minute headstart to outrun the lost boys. If you can outrun them for 20 minutes, you leave with your life. If they catch you in those 20 minutes, they get to do whatever they want to you. Whether you live or not at that point is up to them." The lost boys made small noises and movements of excitement.

Your heart started racing. You had been trained to fight, but you would never be able to outrun this many boys. You gave Pan an incredulous look and he just laughed and stepped backward out of the circle.

"C'mon boys," he said composedly and all of his lost boys grouped up behind him. He smiled at you. "5 minutes. Your time starts now."

You just stood there, heart racing, staring at him, disoriented and not knowing what to do. You looked around and wasn't sure where to run, but you knew if you didn't run now, you'd be caught. You looked back at Pan.

You did not consent to this.

You took a deep breath and headed off in one direction. You ran through the trees and bushes, realizing you needed to run faster. The further you could get in this time, the better.

Your heart started racing faster despite the running. You were starting to panic. You knew that soon this would turn into a panic attack and would hinder your ability to escape.

You had been running for a bit, but you had no idea how to tell how much time had passed.

You heard a howl like noise from back in the direction you came, followed by the shouts of a bunch of boys. The 20 minutes had started.

You ran faster. Maybe you could climb some trees to avoid them. They would be smarter than that. You took a sharp left, jumping over a fairly large-sized boulder.

You knew nothing about the island. You didn't know where the best places to avoid the lost boys or to hide.

You eventually found a large bush you could hide in for a little bit to catch your breath.

You started crying a bit, unable to stop the tears from falling. It felt like it had been a really long time when in reality it had only been a few minutes. You knew the boys would find you the minute they started looking in your area, so you got up and started on the run again.

You looked up, hoping to find a tall tree to climb up when you heard some of the boy's laughter away behind you. You bolted, trying to make your footsteps quiet.

You could hear them getting closer. Your breath hitched as you jumped into a bush where you would be hidden. The bush scraped your arms a bunch, but you were too scared to care.

You tried to stifle your breaths and cries as they neared. They stopped only a few feet in front of you.

They had been following your footprints. You could tell they noticed you stopped.

"We know yours around here. Come come now, we don't bite," one of the lost boys said. "That hard," he continued, snickering.

This boy was tall and blonde. It was a little hard to see his features, but you could tell that he had some sort of scar or something on his face. A few more boys were standing behind him, looking around for you.

You slowly reached down and grabbed a rock. You knew this could either divert their attention or give you away, but you had to do something. Managing to not make a sound, you threw the rock, hard, in the opposite direction.

The boys heard the noise, laughed, and headed in the direction they heard the rock. You quickly and quietly made your way from behind the bush.

You ran and ran, hoping to find a place. You were starting to feel hopeless. Your breaths we're quickening again and you were almost sobbing.

It had been a while. Surely the time had to have been up by now. It felt like it had been way longer than 20 minutes.

You climbed a tall tree in hopes to find a place to rest until time was up. You climbed as high as you dared.

You then heard the boys from beneath you.

Crap.

You quieted your breaths and tried to climb higher.

"There you are. And just in time."

They had spotted you. You had no escape as a few of them started to climb the tree.

You couldn't evade them so you tried to climb higher. The branches started getting too close to each other to keep going. The boys were catching up quickly, and there were a lot of them. You could possibly escape.

You felt one of the boys grab your foot. You screamed, only making him laugh at you. He started to pull you down, but you kicked, which was pointless cause he was too strong.

You were so scared and didn't want to let go, especially considering the fact that you were up so high, but you jumped.

You knew the landing would be jarring, by you might be able to get away.

The landing was indeed very jarring, but you tried to ignore it as you headed off in a random direction. You weren't fast enough though.

One of the boys grabbed the back of your shirt and pushed you against a tree. He immediately grabbed out one of his many daggers and held it at your through.

You pursed your lips to stifle your cries as you could feel the cold metal against your skin.

"Okay, Felix. That's enough," Pan's British accent spoke through all the boy's murmurs.

"But we caught her, " Felix said, letting the dagger fall from your neck to turn towards him. "Time wasn't up just yet."

"It was close enough. Let the girl go." Pan said. Why was he showing you mercy? If anything, he would have let them hurt you even if the time was up.

Felix looked back at you and then walked off, all the lost boys following him.

You couldn't hold it in anymore. You started sobbing as you let yourself drop to your knees. You didn't want Pan to see you like this, but you couldn't stop yourself.

You leaned against the tree and put your face in your knees, wrapping your arms around your head.

You felt a pair of arms wrap around you. You looked up to see Peter sitting down next to you, one of his arms around your shoulders and the other on your arm.

"It's alright, love. You're safe now," he said calmly. You don't want to, but you couldn't help yourself from falling into his arms and laying your head on his chest as you cried.

He surprisingly made you feel comfortable, so you just let him comfort you.

"Y/N, " you said quietly.

"What?" He asked softly, looking down at you.

"My name. It's Y/N, " you told him. You were starting to calm down a bit.

He didn't say anything. He Just nodded and continued to calm you down. You felt yourself getting sleepy in his arms and doesn't remember when you dozed off.

Peter had noticed that after all your panicking and fear, you had fallen asleep in his arms. He let you rest a little longer before he woke you up.

"Y/N, you should probably wake up."

You softly jolted awake and realized you had fallen asleep on Peter Pan.

"I'm... I'm sorry," you said softly, looking up at him.

"It's fine, " he said, a hint of a smile showing on his face. Not a smirk or fake smile, but a real smile.

You both stood up.

"Are you letting me go?" You asked him.

"Sadly, yes. You won the game." This made you a little confused. You didn't win, he had given you mercy.

"But... I didn't. Why d-did you..."

He stopped you by putting a finger over your lips to shush you.

"It doesn't matter. You are alive, right? Now go before I change my mind, " he said, a smile pulling at his lips.

You could feel a smile pulling at your lips as well. You walked off in the other direction, turning around to look at Peter again.

"Thank you... Pan," you called to him. He nodded and disappeared.

You weren't sure if you'd ever see him again, but you'd ever see him again, but you would always be thankful for the bloody demon that saved your life.
