Cheonsa's
I can feel someone playing with my hair. Even though it's waking me up, I sigh in contentment as it continues. I furrow my eyebrows when I heard a manly chuckle; it's so familiar that I'm not mistaken. I widen my eyes to see him and my head resting on his shoulder with a blanket covering me. How did I get into this position?
"Good morning." He chuckles even more to my confusion.
"What are you doing here?" I asked after covering my mouth with a hand. He pointed behind me and I saw the guys smiling widely at me.
Wooyoung greeted me with a bone crushing hug as we fell onto San. "Why didn't you call us for a week," he asks as San and I release a yelp of pain.
"Jung Wooyoung, you're too heavy," San groans. Wooyoung laughs then he stood up. I send him a glare.
"Aren't you going to get up?" he asks me. I noticed I'm now sitting on San's lap. Wooyoung laughs again along with the others then I immediately stand up and ran to the bathroom.
I washed my morning face and brushed my teeth. When I got out, I saw them preparing food on the table.
"Cheonsa, help me buy drinks." I nodded and we walked outside the room.
"I thought I told you guys to rest and I'll call you when something happens," I started.
He nodded, "you did but they're very worried about you so they insisted to come and bring food. We're on hiatus for 3 months so we really don't have anything to do."
"Should I prepare myself for surprise visits then?" San nodded and we chuckle. "I miss the them, too."
"Come to think of it," he says then he looks at me seriously, "why did you not call us for a week?"
"Because nothing happened?" I said, unsure about my answer but he didn't look away. "Nothing really happened," I insisted.
"But Yeosang told me he had a vision of you. You're screaming and afraid especially at night," he says.
"I wake up during midnight because of my dreams." I replied honestly. "About what," he asks. "It's about my family. I think they get worse everyday." I tell him but gave him a small smile when he looks at me with worry, "don't worry, I'm fine. It doesn't harm me."
He looks away from me with a hard look, "I told you to call me if anything happens, right?"
I nod, "yes and nothing happened." I reply but he insists. "San, they're just dreams. They can't harm me in any way."
"But you should've called me when you can't sleep. You're alone and afraid!"
I scoff and run my hand through my hair. I really don't get him! Why does he care if I can't sleep? It's not like he's affected with my sleeping schedule.
"It's none of your concern if I can't sleep."
"It is because I care!"
"Why do you care? You're just a demon who came to my room one night. You're no one."
Silence.
I suddenly regret what I said but it's the truth. I want to retrieve my words I just said but it's no use.
"I'm sorry, I-"
"It's fine," he cuts me. He releases a forced smile before he looks at me, "You're right, I'm just nobody to you," he says before walking again.
I bit my lip and follows him in a distance until we reach the convenience store. I tried to
reach for the 'Oh Yes' snack at the top of the shelf but I can't reach it. A hand immediately took 2 boxes and put it in the basket.
"What else do you want?" He asks me and I feel more guilty because of it. I shake my head then he reaches for other snacks, maybe for the members.
He quietly walks to the cashier to pay while I went outside to wait for him. I saw a child crying at the sidewalk and no one was helping.
I approach him. "Hi, why are you crying?"
"I lost mama," he cries louder.
I pat his head, "will you tell me why you separated from her?"
"I saw a cat and followed it. When I returned, mama's not there." He points to the cafe nearby. I look back at the convenience store and San's still not out.
"Do you know where you're going next with mama? Maybe she's already there." He nods. "Then, I will accompany you until your mama comes, is that okay with you?" He nods again then I lend out my hand for him to hold me.
We walk to the next street and entered an alley. I furrow my eyebrows, "are you sure this is where your mama's going?" He looks at me and shakes his head then he points a cat in front of us who is staring at me.
Angel, sweet little angel.
"Thank you for helping me noona."
He said then he turned to our left. When I followed him, he's gone. I heard the cat meowing louder then approaches me. I stumbled on the floor when I took a step back. It jumped at me and scratched my arm that I used to cover my face.
"Ow."
"Lee Cheonsa!" I hear San running to me and squats in front of me. I hissed when he tried to cover it with a handkerchief. "Does it hurt?" He asks filled with worry. I give him a nod then he puts a light kiss, which magically decreases the pain. "You should be more careful."
"I'm sorry," I said then I look at him and he gives me a teasing smile. "I'm serious," I loudly say then bit my lip when I look away. "You're not nobody."
"Okay, then what am I to you?" He asks, obviously teasing me.
"You're my evil friend," I answered.
"Hmm. I'll let it pass for now," he says then he stands up and pulls me along with him.
"How did you get here and how did you get that?" He asks me as we walk back to the hospital.
"I helped a child who got lost but he suddenly disappeared then a cat jumped at me."
"Huh?"
"Sounds weird? I think so too." I paused, considering if I should tell him or not.
"Tell me everything weird. Maybe I have an explanation."
"I heard something or someone, I really don't know. I think it's calling me because he's saying 'angel' but I'm not sure." He just nods and didn't give me a response. "Is that a bad thing or no?"
"Cats can be a vessel for immature demons. They can't control themselves and are very obsessed when something catches their eye." I gasped at his response. "Don't worry, I punished her already for committing mistake."
"You're so evil," I commented and he chuckles, "Yeah, right."
"Since I am so evil to your eyes, I might as well prove it to you," he pauses then covers my mouth and pushed me to the wall in an alleyway. "Don't get too close to the other members. They're demons like me and I must say I'm sincerely kinder to you. They cover their true selves to use you because they know you can't say no to help anyone, understand?"
For the whole moment, he scared me because of his voice and appearance. His black eyes and veins appeared like when we first met.
"Do you understand, Lee Cheonsa?" He shakes my shoulders and I immediately nod. "Good, because I get jealous and territorial easily when someone signed the deal with me."
He returned to his human form then holds my hand as we continue walking. When we entered the room, we immediately started eating. Wooyoung kept on giving me chicken whenever I finishes a piece.
"Wooyoung, I'm already full. You can give that to Yeosang."
"But Cheonsa you got thinner since last week." I sighed then I gave to Yeosang the chicken leg he put on my plate. He pouts but I give him a smile. "Promise me, you will eat more, okay?" I nod at him then I stand up to remove the plastic gloves and wash my face.
For the whole week, I'm with my uncle and I didn't contact the boys. That must be why I feel alone but I guess I just need a rest from everything that happened. When Monday comes, I shall start everything that I need to do, starting from finding my real mother to finding out my family's murderer.
The boys insisted that I should rest at home and told me they will be looking after Mr. Park. I went home with Wooyoung, Yeosang, and San. I told them to occupy the guest rooms for the night before I went straight to my room. I unpacked my dirty clothes and took a shower. Since I couldn't sleep, I went to uncle's room and grabbed all the boxes he hid before going to my office. I read and saw all the contents he's hiding from me to find my family's murderer.
"Can't sleep?"
Wooyoung just came in after he knocked on the door. "You too?" He nods then he went to my side.
"Who is this?"
I quickly took it from him, "he's just a friend."
He smirks, "a friend?" I nod then he nods multiple times, like he's convincing himself. "Okay," he said before walking away. "Good night, Cheonsa." He winks at me before closing the door.
I looked at the picture again. The picture I have with Lucas, I still keep it because I can't seem to hate him after what he had done to me. With a sigh, I kept it in my drawer and went to my bedroom, hoping to get a decent sleep.
