"It was a wise choice to let them stay the night, Sesshomaru." Mayu said with a smile.
"Yeah, I can't wait to see them!" Rin cheered.
"She loves them so much." Mayu said with a soft giggle.
"Sesshomaru-sama, they're here." Eri said with a smile as she let Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Himari, Yua, Akira, and Shippō.
"You're here!" Rin cheered as she ran over to greet them.
"Hey!~" Kagome chirped getting on her knees carefully and hugging Rin. Inuyasha smiled and ruffled Rin's hair. Mayu smiled and walked over so Sango hugged her.
"Good to see you again." Mayu said pulling back.
"Thank you for inviting us." Sango said with a smile, then her eyes flickered down, then her face warmed a little as she wore a cheeky grin.
"Hmm?" Mayu hummed a little confused.
"My good sir, when are we expecting?~" Miroku asked Sesshomaru raising a brow. Sesshomaru growled at the monk making Mayu look over.
"Expect what?" She asked. She had no idea why Sesshomaru was already on edge. Inuyasha eyed Mayu, then Sesshomaru.
"You did that to her and she has no clue wh-"
"We didn't mate, no." Sesshomaru interrupted in an angered tone. Mayu turned bright red.
"Wh- Wait no no no we didn't- I mean-" Sango laughed.
"We're just teasing Mayu." She said patting her shoulder gently. Mayu sighed softly.
"U-Uhn."
"Mate?" Rin asked curiously making Mayu tense and look at Sesshomaru.
"It's nothing, Rin." He simply said.
"Oh, ok!~" She chirped.
"Your rooms are ready for you when you wish to rest, until then, dinner will be ready soon." Eri said with a smile.
"Need a hand?" Mayu asked.
"No no, I'll be ok." Eri said with a bright smile.
"Are you sure?" Mayu asked again.
"I am fine, Mayu." Eri said ruffling her hair a little before turning and walking off. Then she stopped and turned to look at Mayu again.
"I have a surprise for you tomorrow night before the celebration, meet me in the dressing room. Ok?" Mayu blinked a couple of times, then nodded with a curious look. Eri smiled and walked out.
"Ooh, I wonder what it could be." Rin said before smiling brightly.
"Sesshomaru-sama, can I take Himari, Yua, and Shippō to the garden to play?" Rin asked.
"I will have Mayu fetch you when dinner is ready." Sesshomaru spoke in a calm tone.
"Yay! Come on you guys!~" Rin said making the children laugh and runoff. Miroku still held Akira as he slept, wrapped up in his blanket.
"I wish I still had that energy." Kagome said with a sigh as Inuyasha helped her up.
"Sounds like you'll only get one out of her." Sango teased.
"Yeah, no kidding." Kagome said making Sango and Mayu laugh. Inuyasha carefully wrapped his arms around Kagome from behind.
"As long as she's happy." He muttered making the laughing calm as everyone but Sesshomaru smiled.
"Charmer." Mayu said.
"Seems like it runs in the family." Sango pointed out as she tapped her neck where Mayu's hickey was. Mayu perked up remembering it once more and now realizing why they thought her and Sesshomaru had a... fun night. She turned bright red as she covered it with her hand.
"I-I-I suppose s-so." Sango and Miroku laughed. The night was fun, many wore a smile and laughed as dinner went on without a hitch. After dinner, they spent some time catching up and just relaxing for once in these tense times, even Sesshomaru joined in here and there surprising many and making Mayu happy to see him finally interacting with others calmly for once.
"I still can't believe you did that Inuyasha." Kagome said with a sigh.
"Keh, he deserved it!" Inuyasha boasted with pride.
"For the record, I wasn't after your miko. You brought her into it." Sesshomaru muttered as he took a drink of sake. Inuyasha soon fell silent making the others laugh. Kagome then yawned instantly gaining Inuyasha's attention.
"If you're tired, we can go to bed." He muttered gently giving her a quick peck on the head.
"I'm not tired." Kagome contorted.
"You'll fall asleep in the next few minutes, watch." Inuyasha teased.
"Nu-uh." And behold, he was right. She was asleep, her head resting on his shoulder making him sigh with a smile as he shook his head.
"Ah, called it. Looks like we're headin' in." He said before carefully picked Kagome up.
"Yeah, plus, it's late, we have a long day tomorrow." Sango said with a smile.
"Plus, we'll never hear the end of it if the kids found out we got to stay up later than they did." Miroku said with a soft laugh making Sango and Mayu join.
"Oh yeah.~" Sango said before she and Miroku stood up.
"Rest well you guys." Mayu said with a smile.
"You as well!~" Sango chirped with a smile, and soon, the main hall was Sesshomaru and Mayu's. Mayu sighed with a smile.
"Long day, but it was nice. Hmm?" Mayu asked looking over at Sesshomaru. He only hummed as he finished his sake setting it to the side for Eri to take back to the kitchen.
"We should rest as well, we have a long day tomorrow just as Sango mentioned." Sesshomaru nodded and stood up before offering Mayu a hand. She smiled and took it as he helped her up.
"I'll see you in the morning?" Mayu asked with a smile.
"No, you will accompany me tonight." He simply said before he started walking, he still held her hand so she followed close. When they got to his room, he took his tops off and went to set them to the side, then he hesitated. He glanced at Mayu who was simply pulling the covers back for them, then he only dropped his under top before walking over to her holding it out.
"Here." Mayu hesitated but took it anyway. She wanted to wait for him to turn before she changed, but he never did. It was almost as though he was waiting himself.
"What is it?" He asked seeing her reddened face.
"N-Nothing, I-I, uh..." She stuttered glancing to the side.
"I've seen you bare before Mayu." He simply said before he reached up to mess with his hair, running his claws through it getting rid of any tangles. Mayu sighed, he was right, but it still made her anxious. However, she didn't really have much of a choice. Did she? She slowly stripped before taking his top and fixing it to make it easier to slip on. Sesshomaru seemed to stare making her heart race, his eyes scanning her body. However, his gaze felt so different than... others. She slipped it on, but before she could close it around her body, he walked over and slipped his hand in placing it on her waist making her jump a little. He carefully guided her to sit on the bed as he did as well, his hand tracing up her side, then down again in a soothing manner. He nuzzled his way under her chin again, his warm breath fanning her neck and her chest. Mayu slowly relaxed as she reached up to try something she's been curious about. She gently petted him, and his reaction surprised her. He let out what sounded like a soft growl yet a soft purr as he rested the bridge of his nose on her throat, his eyes closed. Mayu couldn't help but have a soft giggle slip past her lips. His gained Sesshomaru's attention making him start kissing her neck making her face warm a little. Suddenly, he pulled back and scooted back confusing Mayu.
"Sess-" He reached over and carefully wrapped his arm around her, then pulling her to him as they both laid down. His hand was over his still open top, trailing around, but carefully. he nuzzled under her chin again kissing around her neck and bare chest, but never going too low. She reached up and petted him gently again earning that gentle purr again. He soon stopped kissing and simply closed his eyes and relaxed under her touch, his nose gently resting where her throat and collar bone met. Mayu smiled not even caring about the fact she was pretty much bare next to him. He has his arm wrapped around her, the top covering his arm as he slowly fell asleep. When Mayu concluded that he was asleep, then she stopped the petting and relaxed closing her eyes. Then, she also slowly fell asleep.
