Lauren hadn't come from school. She would always get picked up by Lena's driver and when he called the two of you about how she hadn't come out, the both of you panicked. The worst came to mind as you remembered the countless kidnapping and death threat, both you and Lena as well as Leon had to endure. The DEO and police had been called now it was just a matter of time until they found her. You're both currently sitting together on the couch while waiting for any new information when the house phone suddenly rings.
"Five hundred thousand dollars or your daughter dies!"
You both hear a distorted voice through the phone.
"Put my daughter on the phone."
Lena demands, not wanting to talk to him until she knew her daughter was safe.
"You have 10 seconds."
He says before Lauren comes on the phone.
"Mommy? Mum?"
Lauren sounds surprisingly calm for someone that is currently kidnapped.
"Lauren, honey? I'm coming to get you. Don't worry."
Lena was already tracking down the location of the phone as you geared up in your old DEO suit after years without using it.
"Enough!"
He takes back the phone from Lauren to continue talking to you.
"Give me five hundred thousand dollars and the kid is yours."
All of the sudden, you hear Lauren's voice.
"Pfft! You think I'm only worth $500,000? I'm not cheap, dumbass! Do you not know who you're talking to?!" She said offended. "My mommy is a millionaire and my mum is a billionaire."
The kidnapped is clearly confused about this. He had never had someone actually tell him to demand more money.
"Make it 1 billion or I'm not going"
Lena could not believe what she was hearing.
"Lauren Avery Luthor!!! You idiot!"
You yell to her.
"I'm worth much more than that!"
You shake your head in disbelief.
"We'll bring you the money. Send us a message with the information."

After hugging, Lauren after she was rescue, you pulled her aside with Lena to talk about what had happened.
"What the hell was that?! Did you want to get yourself killed?"
Lauren just smiles and kisses both of your cheeks.
"Of course not, mommy. I wanted to keep him talking longer so you can track his location."
Lena wipes away a tear, proud of Lauren for what she had done.
"That was good idea but please, never do that again."
