Austin's POV
"someone call 911!" I yelled again for the second time and looking around to see multiple people on their phones doing what I had asked. "an ambulance is on the way" a lady said walking over to me, I was sitting on the ground with Elena's head in my lap she was still breathing by that didn't stop me from panicking. "do you know what's wrong?" the lady asked looking at me and then back down at Elena. "No but she's pregnant" I said and I could see her demeanor change "she's breathing which is a good sign, is there anything I can do while we wait?" she asked but I just shook my head and looked down at Elena and started to pray that she and the baby would be okay.
"Elena" I said looking down at her as I felt her move slightly. "Austin what's going on?" she said opening her eyes and looking up at me and then at the people standing around us. "You passed out baby" I said as she began to try and sit up, but I stopped her "don't just lay here an ambulance is on the way." I said and she did as I told "I can't pay for an ambulance ride" she said, and I could see tears well up in her eyes "and the baby is it okay?" she asked looking at me again.
"Don't worry about the money I got you baby girl remember and I caught you before you fell all the way so I'm praying the baby is perfectly fine just relax baby I got you." I said trying to show her that I wasn't panicking but I was, and it was killing me trying to hold my composer. Within seconds I heard the sirens and we were surrounded by paramedics. "What's going on?" the man said bending down to get eye to eye with Elena "I', not sure I fainted and I'm pregnant please make sure my baby is okay." I could hear the tears and fear in her voice, and it broke my heart, I could tell she loved our baby more than anything in the world and that warmed my heart which was fighting to not break at her voice.
"Have you had any water? You might be dehydrated" the man said, and Elena shook her head no "I haven't" she said, and I could tell she was disappointed in herself and she was starting to blame herself. "I didn't sleep very well last night either" she said, and I just hung my head knowing why she hadn't slept, and I hated myself for it. "okay well let's get you to the hospital and have you checked out and give that baby a look" he said, and another man pulled the stretcher over. "Can you stand?" the man asked putting his hands out and Elena grabbed them slowly getting to her feet as I waited on the floor in case she fell back. I felt a little jealousy when she grabbed him hands even thought I knew he was just trying to help I couldn't help but feel it.
She got on the stretcher and I quickly got to my feet and followed behind her "sir you can follow us to the hospital" the guy said turning around after putting Elena in the truck "No I'm riding with her" I said getting in the truck before he could stop me. "or you can do that?" he said under his breath as he climbed in the back with us. I wasn't leaving her side no matter what anyone said, she was my world and that was my child I deserved to go. Elena is 16 weeks I believe, and I was getting eager for this little guy or girl to arrive. I felt Elena's hand grab mine and I couldn't help but smile, even though we have been fighting for almost two days it was like she was letting it go for the sake of me and her. I knew she was still mad at me but the fact that she wanted to hold my hand made me happy. "Everything will be fine baby" I said but I could tell she was still worried, and my words weren't going to help the situation no matter what I said. "Can you text my sister and let her know what happened?" she asked, and I nodded pulling out my phone I had her sisters' number in case of emergencies like this. I opened a group chat and sent the message to her sister, Shelby and diamante I knew her friends were still mad at me, I know Elena told them what happened, so they have a right to be upset with me. I knew they were going to start texting back within seconds and my phone was going to blow up.
So, I decided to also send a text saying "She will call you when she can" I wanted my attention on Elena and not the phone. We finally made it to the hospital, and they took her straight back and I followed, and the doctor was in quick. "Okay Elena we've gotten all of the questions out of the way and have drawn your blood and they have came back normal so I believe you were dehydrated you really need to drink more water especially since you're pregnant you're going to need a lot more water, but let's go ahead and do an ultrasound to make sure that baby is doing okay." He said and we both just nodded I knew that's what Elena was worried about more than herself.
Within seconds we could see something on the screen. I looked down at Elena's stomach and I noticed the bump which now didn't look like bloating it looked like she was pregnant. "How far along are you Elena?" he asked looking at her and she smiled "16 weeks" she was ear to ear with smiles. "Your stomach is growing pretty quickly, it doesn't mean anything bad just that you're showing before some women" he smiled at her and I could tell that made her happy that she wasn't the only one seeing the bump now. "as you can the baby is perfectly healthy and is actually very active" he said and we both smiled huge. Then I felt the tears welling up in my eyes 'Ill give you two a minute" the doctor said smiling "I'll bring back the discharge papers" and he disappeared behind the door.
"every time I see that little strawberry, I get teary eyed." I said getting the tears off before they fell. "that's a good thing" Elena said smiling at me as I felt like a big cry baby. "Austin thank you for catching me" she said grabbing my hand and holding it tightly in hers. "baby I wouldn't have let you fall." I said smiling at her. "Austin we have a lot of work to do, and you have to slow down on the drinking and maybe we can become what you want us to become, because I love you Austin I really do, you have my devotion but man I can hate you sometimes too" she said and I nodded understanding where she was coming from. "I understand and I promise I'll be a better man, I love you more than anything Elena you and this baby are my world." I said bending down to kiss her forehead, but she moved, and our lips collided.
I went to pull away because I didn't want her feeling like I was forcing anything. But she didn't let me pull back within seconds her hands were in my hair and we were in a full make out session in this hospital room. She finally pulled back "I'm sorry" she said blushing "being pregnant has made me so horny." She said after hesitating for a minute. "never apologize for kissing me Elena I've been wanting to do that all week "I said, and she just smiled as the doctor walked back in with the papers. "all ready to go?" he asked smiling at us and Elena nodded as he explained everything to us and that she needed to drink more water. After a few minutes we walked out to where the cab was, I had called them after we got the papers. "let's get you back to the hotel room." I said and she nodded as we both got in the cab.
We made it back to the hotel and was about to get out of the car when Elena stopped me "This was all my fault Austin I'm so sorry" she said looking down, I quickly put my hand under her chin and lifted her head "Elena none of this was your fault if I wouldn't have done what I did you would have had sleep and water in you system please don't blame yourself, we know what is wrong and its an easy fix just drink water everything is okay baby girl" I said kissing her lips then her forehead. "no how about we go upstairs and take that nap you were talking about earlier." I smiled helping her out of the car.
"is she gone?" she asked, I had totally forgot about Ashley being in our room earlier "Yes baby girl I told her to get out, and I want you to know I don't remember anything that happened with her last night the first thing I thought when I woke up was that you were lying beside me, I really thought it was you, I couldn't see myself wanting anyone other than you, it was my jealously I can promise you I don't want anyone other than you Elena Gant." I said grabbing her hand as we made our way up to the hotel room. Before we could get in the room her phone started ringing like crazy and I knew it was either her sister or her best friends.
She answered it putting it on speaker phone "hello" Elena said, and the response back was three women talking all at the same time I knew all three of the women were together and they had lots of questions. Keep in mind were still standing in the hallway of the hotel. "okay girls relax me, and the baby are fine but really tired, so I'll call you later tonight after I nap?" Elena said rolling her eyes. "Is Austin there?" I knew that was Diamanté's voice. I knew I was in trouble with her friends. "Yes" I said hoping she didn't try and yell at me through the phone.
"give him the phone. And walk away Elena" I felt my heart drop they were going to kill me through the phone. "remember I love him." Elena said before handing me the phone and going into the room. "hello?" I said and waited to the million things they had to say. "its just me and Shelby now, her sister doesn't know how much of an ass you are" Diamante said, and I knew she was right. "I know- "they cut me off "no listen to us, she loves you and that means we have to deal with you, lay off the alcohol, put on your big boy pants be a good man for her and that baby do you understand us?" Shelby said and I nodded forgetting they couldn't see me.
"yes ladies I know I fucked up and I owe Elena everything under the sun and I'm going to do the best that I can to become the man she needs and wants, I want to be the best dad to that baby and I know I'm walking a fine line with you girls and Elena but I promise I'll make it up to all of you." I said and hoped they accepted what I had said "okay but next time we'll kill you" Diamante said, and I knew she wasn't joking. "roger that" I said before saying bye and walking into the room where I thought Elena would be asleep, but she was sitting on the bed with Dre in a chair. "We need to talk" Dre said. Now what?
