Lena was the CEO of a multi-billion company. She's faced down men that had tried to take over L-Corp, as well as several kidnappings and assassination attempts. She could practically face anything but getting her yearly flu shot.
"It's ridiculous. There's no reason for me to get a flu shot. I've never gotten sick and I can guarantee you that I will if I get the shot. My Luthor genes give me a strong immune system."
You rolled your eyes as she refused to get out of the car. You had all been sitting in the parking lot of a clinic while you attempted to come down on her own.
"Lena, lots of people need the flu shot. You're a scientist. I'm sure you know the reason why it's better for everyone to just be prepared.
"A shot is ridiculous. It gives unnecessary pain and I'm already working on a way to just have it be given as a spray. I can wait a couple of more weeks."
"For godsakes, Lauren is even getting the flu shot and she's only 7 months."
"That's because she's a baby. I'm an adult and I know how much it'll hurt."
You sighed, knowing that she was not going to change her mind.
"Fine but be expecting an I told you so when you end up getting sick."
She gives you a triumphant smile. Happy that she had won the argument.
"It won't be necessary."
Two weeks later and you couldn't help but tell her.
"I told you! Had you gotten the shot then you would be fine."
Lena groans and covers her face.
"Save it. I'm in too much pain to argue."
