Roy held Maya's wrists as she tried to move away from him. She felt a lump forming in her throat. She tried her best not to cry.
"I need an Explanation Ms. Maya Subramaniam. You can't just go leaving me here" he made his grip tighter. She turned towards him and pleaded with her eyes
"Roy... I'm.."
"Don't you remember all those things Maya. The moments we had. The love we shared..what about all those. How the hell can you go leaving me ?"
She cried and looked down. He moved closer and cupped her cheeks with his palms.
"Maya..you know what you mean to me. I really love you so much. Please don't do this to me"
She touched his hands which rested on her cheeks
"Roy..i do you love you a lot. But....I'm helpless Roy. Please try to understand me"
"How the hell does it matter.? Youre father is against us. So what? My parents do support us I'm I right? Maya... youre not going back. Youre coming with me. Right now. This moment"he grabbed her hand's and she stopped him
"No I can't. This marriage should happen Roy. If I refuse. They'll...they'll harm you. Your parents..." She lowered her head and he stared at her blankly.
"Maya? I can't live without you"
She hugged him tightly and wept. He was too angry to hug her back.
"Bye Roy. I don't want to come back to your life again."she broke the hug and looked at him. He stood still with tears forming in his eyes. She wiped her tears and walked away from him. He saw her moving away from him. He couldn't budge. She was almost out of his sight. She was trembling with tears.
"Mayaaaaa"he shouted and fell on his knees. Little tears escaped his eyes.
Without knowing what fate had instore for him.
