"Charlie WAKE UP!" I hear a voice scream into my ear. I literally jump out of the bed in fear for my life, only to notice Rhydian in hysterics.
"What the heck is wrong with you? You nearly gave me a damn heart attack!" I shout as I have my hand on my racing heart.
"I tried to be nice about it the first time, you were mumbling 'Oh Caleb', and your lips were puckering" He laughs.
"I don't think so Rhyd, in fact I was having a nice dream of you failing your driving test, and myself passing" I tell him, half of that was true, I was dreaming of our driving test, but he passed and I failed.
"Yeah right, I'm a way better driver and you know it sister" He says.
"Just stay out of my way" I say as I leave my room and make my way downstairs with him following.
"Rhydian, is your sister awake?" I hear Zak calling.
"I'm a dead person walking" I answer for Rhydian. "Left me fearing for my life, literally" I add as I sit at the counter.
"Rhydian, I don't want any trouble from either of you today, you're twins, you're supposed to get along" Zak says placing breakfast in front of me.
"I'll get along with him when he stops acting like a total idiot" I say.
"Tommy, food" Zak calls. After a moment, Tommy walks through, eyes glued to his phone.
"I'm here" He mumbles as he walks into the counter. "Ouch!" He yelps as he rubs his elbow.
"Ok, give me the phone, you can have it after breakfast" Zak says holding his hand out.
"No, it's ok, I'm fine" Tommy says quickly.
"It wasn't an option, give me the phone" He then demands. Tommy sighs as he reluctantly gives Zak the phone.
"I'm telling Dad" Tommy says in a slight tantrum.
"You do that" Zak says, not bothered at all as he puts the phone into his pocket. "Were you guys like this before you moved here, back in England?" He questions.
"No, but our lives weren't exactly like how they are now" I answer.
"You'd think that with everything you 3 have been through that you'd get on better than any siblings on the planet" He says. He kinda has a point.
"So what are we doing today? Staying in?" Rhydian asks, sounding a little bored.
"I'm not letting you drive today" Zak tells him again adamantly.
"Whatever" Rhydian mumbles in response.
"Joe is coming over for a bit, and we might be going somewhere fun" Zak says with a grin forming on his face.
"Somewhere fun?" I question.
"Well, what do you guys think about Go-Karting?" Zak asks. All of our faces light up instantly.
"That's like driving, I'll take that" Rhydian says.
"Good, I think you 3 will enjoy it" Zak says confidently.
Once we finish breakfast, we all disappear to get dressed properly, except Zak, he is already good to go for the day. Once I'm dressed in my casual jeans and t-shirt, I decide to text Joe.
'Hey, Dad told me you're coming over today, and we're going go-karting, certainly cheered Rhydian up, see you in a bit' I send.
A moment later my phone buzzes.
'Yeah, can't wait to beat you all, tell Zak I'll be there within an hour' Joe replies.
"Charlie, quit texting Caleb, he loves you too" Rhydian says from outside the bathroom door. I finish sorting myself out and open the door, face-to-face with him.
"Will you stop it with Caleb, we're not dating and I haven't even spoken to him lately" I say as I walk past. "FYI, it was Joe, he's gonna beat all of us at Go-Karting" I tell him and walk away.
"We'll see about that" I hear him mutter.
"Dad, Joe said he'll be here within an hour" I call to Zak.
Eventually Joe arrives and we get off to Go-Karting.
"Zak, my phone battery is low" Tommy complains.
"Stop using it then" Rhydian says.
"I was talking to Zak, unless you've swapped identities for the day" Tommy points out. That was a nice comeback.
"I don't have a charger, but you could do with a break from it anyway, you shouldn't be attached to it all the time" Zak says as we arrive. He parks the car and we get inside.
"So where has Aaron gone?" Joe asks as we get ready.
"Not sure, I don't need to know anyway, I just said I'd have the boys" Zak answers.
"Now I bet he's wishing he didn't" I say, half joking.
"Just suit up Charlie" Zak says. "Tommy you are a lucky kid, just old enough and taller enough to have your own kart" Zak tells him.
"He won't win anyway" Rhydian says.
"You might not either" Joe points out to him.
We get in the karts and get secured, then our time starts, at first, Rhydian does take the lead, but then Joe overtakes him, then Zak does, Tommy then makes him crash so he ends up being last, he then makes me crash and overtakes Tommy, Zak crashes into a corner and is overtaken by us, in the end, Joe and Rhydian battle it out and end up coming joint 1st, then Tommy, myself and Zak is last.
"There's no way we're joint 1st" Rhydian growls.
"Deal with it little brother, at least you weren't last" Joe says as he ruffles Rhydians hair.
We get undressed from our gear and leave. I didn't realise that we've been here for nearly 3 hours.
"It's lunch time, can we go out to eat?" Tommy asks.
"Where do you want to go?" Zak asks.
"Pizza" Tommy jumps up. We all agree on pizza so Zak drives us to a pizza place. We get there and are seated straight away. I look around the restaurant and someone catches my eyes.
"Did you guys know that Caleb is over there?" I ask, mainly aiming the question at Zak.
"No, I haven't spoken to him for a bit" Zak answers. I notice he's sitting at a table for two, with two meals, then a lady walks over and sits down with him and he smiles.
"Caleb has got himself a girlfriend, oooohh" Rhydian says, a little loud. Loud enough that Caleb looks over and sees us. I quickly form a smile on my face as he gives us a little wave.
"I hope he's happy" I say, questioning myself to why I didn't sound happy when I said that.
"Don't be jealous, I'm sure he still likes you, he just loves someone else now" Rhydian tries to tease.
"I'm going to punch you in a minute, you do realise how old we are, if she is his girlfriend then it'll be good for him" I say.
"Hey, chill out, we're 16 soon, in England you can see who you want at that age" He says.
"But we're not in England, Rhydian, we're in America, the laws are different here, we're minors until we're 21" I point out to him.
"I don't think the law stops many people from being secretive" He says.
"Guys, what are you talking about?" Joe asks.
"The law, I was wondering, the legal age in England is 16, but here we're minors until we're 21, we're British citizens but reside here, does the America law include us?" I ask, to prove my point to this idiot.
"Yeah, you live here so of course, but even if you didn't, it would apply, just like 18 year old Americans can drink alcohol in England but not here, because the laws are different" Zak explains. I look back at Rhydian with an 'I told you so' face. Not so smart is he.
"Why do you ask?" Joe questions.
"Rhydian was asking if we were allowed to date people over the age of 21, even if we're only 16" I answer.
"So there is a girl, but she's older?" Zak questions.
"What? No! There's no girl at all, it was just conversation" Rhydian defends quickly. I look back over at Caleb and see them both looking rather cosy.
"I need the toilet" I say as I get up. I go to the toilet and question myself why I don't seem happy for Caleb having a date. She looks his age and they look happy, I know he said he loves me, but it's not like we could be together, besides, I don't even know what my feelings are.
I take a breath as I look in the mirror. Be happy for him. I leave the toilet to head back to our table when I feel my arm get tugged, I am pulled around a corner, out of sight of my table.
"Excuse me, let go!" I almost shout, but immediately snap out of it when I realise who it is. "Caleb? Why are you pulling me across the restaurant?" I ask.
"I needed to talk to you, explain" He says. I look at him confused, what does he need to explain?
"Explain what?" I question.
"The girl" He answers. Ok then?
"Look, you've found someone who makes you happy, she's your age and everything, I'm happy for you" I assure him.
"Well, you're right about her being my age, but it isn't a date if that's what you're assuming" He says. What?
"It's not a date?" I question.
"No, she has someone in her life, another girl actually, we bumped into each other and hadn't seen each other since school, we were good friends back then and so we arranged a lunch to catch up" He explains.
"Oh" Is all I say.
"She isn't my type anyway, if she was into guys" He says.
"Ok, but why the need to explain this to me, it isn't like we're dating or anything?" I question.
"No, but you were looking a little uncomfortable with her being with me" He says.
"Was I? I didn't realise" I say, maybe I was a little bit.
"Charlie, I'm still all for you, I'm just waiting for the time when you're able to know your feelings for me or whatever, I know most people would tell me not to waste time on someone who may not feel the same, but I'm happy to wait, or eventually move on" He says.
"Caleb, I don't know, there are laws and stuff, you could get into trouble, I'm a minor until I'm 21, I'm only 16 soon, and surely you'll want to settle down with someone instead of waiting" I say.
"I don't mind" He smiles. "What ever happens, I think I'll always love you, even if I never have you" He says. And suddenly I have the urge to kiss him.
"There will always be a love between us, but it's all complicated right now" I say.
"You should get back to your Dad and brothers, I should get back to Laura, we only went to the toilet, they'll start wondering" He says.
"Yeah, I'll talk to you later" I smile. We hug each other and go our separate ways.
"There you are, we started to think you got lost" Zak says as I sit back down. I watch as Caleb smiles at me as he sits down with his friend.
"No, I'm fine" I say.
"I can't wait until we're 16" Rhydian says. Neither can I. But I don't know what he's waiting for?
"Why?" I question.
"16 is a good age to be" He answers.
Once we finish eating, we go back home. My phone buzzes with a text from Alex.
'Hey, how are you? x' It reads.
'I'm fine thanks, you?' I reply.
'I'm good, I wanna tell you something, and I hope you don't think any different of me' He sends. Hmm.
'You're one of my best friends, tell my anything' I send.
'I've been talking to this girl, and she seems really nice, she's asked me out on a date' He sends.
'Alex, go for it, follow your heart and be happy' I reply.
'I know that I already told you that I really like you, but this girl, we have a lot in common and we're constantly talking, and to be honest, you're too good for me anyway ;)' He sends.
'Alex, I don't mind, I am still your best friend, if you wanna date her then go for it, tell me all about it at school, and like I said, be happy' I send.
'Thanks Charlie, it means a lot, and to know that our friendship isn't affected, thank you' He sends. I reply back with a smiley face. I hope things work out for Alex, he's a lovely person, and I genuinely don't feel sad that there's another girl in his life. I realise that I felt sad when I saw Caleb with his friend. Maybe it was just a vibe that they wouldn't have been good together in general or something, I dunno.
I find myself thinking more about Caleb, I try not to due to the situation, why does everything have to be complicated with my life?
All I'm going to think about from now on is my familyand friends, school, Ghost Adventures and the other projects Zak has lined upfor us.

Ok I know you all hate my guts, my last update was 26th December 2018, and we're heading into June now so it's been like, nearly 6 months.. and you all know my excuses by now, but hopefully it'll be changing soon. Currently I am working 45 hours a week, I barely get a weekend because I sleep on Saturdays and then try and do something on a Sunday, I have my other stories which I'm also trying to pay attention to.
I'm just juggling everything at the moment, but I said hopefully it'll be changing soon.. I'm trying to find a new job, working in daytime instead of nighttime, hopefully I'll have a new job by the end of June and I'll have more weekend time and be less tired because it'll be cutting down my hours a little bit, so I'll have more time.
I've made a change to how I write, not the chapters themselves, but I always get the next chapter ready to type, e.g the next chapter is Chapter 101 - (title), but now I have actually typed some ideas for the chapter, and I think, if I can give you guys a good chapter next time, you'll like it, and the one after that, cause I already have one little idea for the following chapter..
Anyway, this one, I don't really know what I was doing with it, but it seems kinda ok? Seems fun, Rhydian is getting either an attitude or a strange sense of humor, not sure which yet, lol, whatever you make of it.
