"So bored," Spike groaned since he was all alone in the room where Death Battle is shown. Just ten minutes ago, everyone was about to watch the next Death Battle when Twilight got a let from Celestia saying she needed her help with something called a Bifrost. With his friends gone, he felt like doing something just to get rid of his boredom.
"Might as well watch the episode," Spike said, thinking of checking out the episode before the girls get back. He loaded the episode and was about to hit the play button when the door was slammed open causing him to drop the remote.
"SPIKE, have you seen our sisters?" a southern voice asked causing Spike to turn around to see the CMC at the door.
"They left for Canterlot awhile ago. Also, knock next time, you almost gave me a heart attack," Spike gasped while trying to calm down.
"Sorry, but we wanted to see if they were here," Sweetie explained sheepishly.
"Hey, you're watching another Death Battle? Mind if we watch?" Scootaloo asked as she took a seat on the couch.
"Well I was gonna watch it myself but why not," Spike said, letting the fillies take their spots on the couch. He was just about to press play when someone kicked the door open causing Spike and the fillies to fall off the couch. The group got back up and looked over the couch to see a tall blue scaled dragon and a smaller orange scaled dragon. "Ember? Smolder? What're you two doing here?" Spike inquired as he was feeling a bit a deja vu.
"I haven't been down here in a while and thought of coming here to visit," Ember explained.
"I saw Princess Ember here and was curious," Smolder said, looking at the screen. "What's that?" Smolder asked while pointing at the TV.
"It's a TV, we watch a show on it," Spike explained.
"Yeah, it's a super cool show that had a dragon fighting," Scootaloo cheered as she flew up in the air in excitement.
"This I gotta see," Smolder said, scurrying into the room and sitting on the couch.
"I'm interested to see another fight so I'll join you," Ember said as she took a seat.

Boomstick: Since the darkest depths of the human psyche first created monsters, we've dreamed of harnessing their awesome power. Like Red and his Pokémon, Charizard.
"Yay Charizard!" Scootaloo cheered.
"Hope he lives up to the hype that the squirt is giving it," Smolder muttered, trying to hide the fact that she was just as hyped to see the orange dragon-like creature fight.
Wiz: And Tai and his Digimon, Agumon.
"Sunset was really excited when the last episode brought this up in the preview," Spike muttered. Wondering what made this show so special.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills, to find out who would win... a Death Battle.

Boomstick: If you're an old man who's wasted his life doing God knows what, you may realize that you've always wanted to catalog every animal in the world, but that would be a lot of work, so you probably would just bribe a kid to do it for you.
"But going around the world and seeing new places is the best part," Scootaloo said with a pout.
"I think he might be to busy for that Scoots." Apple Bloom told her more energetic friend.
"And old too," Sweetie Bell said with no form of tack whatsoever.
Wiz: So began the story of Red, an eleven-year-old boy from Pallet Town. Red's mission was to challenge the gym leaders of the Kanto region, defeat the Elite Four to become champion, and of course, capture all 150 currently known Pokémon. To do this, he needed a partner, a companion, a friend, a Pokémon.
"Yay... more friendship," Smolder muttered. She liked her friends and teachers but man was it a pain to hear nothing but friendship on a daily basis.
Boomstick: For obvious reasons, he chose the awesome fire dragon.
"And if there was any better choice?" Scootaloo proudly stated.
"Ya, Squirtle," Sweetie Bell said with a smug look. Getting a growl from Scootaloo.
"Now, now girls," Apple Bloom said before a smug look appeared on her face. "Besides it's obviously Bulbasaur."
"Kids," Ember said with a smile and an eye roll as she watched the CMC start to wrestle.
Red: It wasn't really a tough decision. The thing is, my dad gave me the name Red, hoping that when I grew up, it would help me have the passion and energy of a red hot fire.
"Heck ya," Smolder said with a grin as she breathed out a small flame.

Boomstick: He can throw enemies around with Seismic Toss, beat the shit out of them with Mega Punch and Mega Kick, trap foes in a vortex of flame with Fire Spin, never miss...stars with Swift, and bring the heat even higher with the ultra-powerful Fire Blast.
"I want that!" Scootaloo and Smolder said with a cheer.
'Aw cute,' Ember thought with a smile. 'They're getting along.'
Wiz: Being a trained Pokémon, there are dozens of other moves Red may have taught Charizard, including Blast Burn, the most powerful fire attack.
"Wonder if it's as strong as your dad's fire?" Spike asked the young dragon lord who only shrugged. She never saw her dad go all out with his fire breath.

"The sad thing is you're not even wrong," Smolder said with a deadpan look. What was with ponies and friendship allowing them to pull miracles out of their plots?

"And he finally becomes an official dragon!" Scootaloo cheered. "And just look at those flames! They're blue!"

Boomstick: But fighting with a Charizard has it's own share of problems, being a fire and flying type, Charizard is weak to rock, electric, and water type attacks, and if the flame on the tip of Charizard's tail goes out, he dies. Man, that seems like the worst thing ever, I mean, could you imagine living in constant fear that, oh, I don't know, you'd get caught in the rain and die?
This caused the dragons in the group to shiver in fear at that thought. As dragons, they were used to being on the top of the food chain, with only Ursa majors and alicorns being the only things that could trump them, and the thought of dying so easily put a deep seeded fear in them.
Wiz: Fortunately, a Charizard's tail flame burns so hot, not even water can douse it so easily. However, Charizard's battle strategy relies entirely on Red's decision and direction. Without his trainer, he would be as random and unfocused as a wild animal.
"Ya, Spark is like that... when he's not shooting fire at me," Scoots said with a sweat drop. She loved her pokemon to death but ever since he evolved to a Charmeleon he gained a bit of a short temper.
"At least he doesn't sleep all day like Sprout does," Apple Bloom muttered while thinking of her lazy Ivysaur who'd rather soak up the sun than run around like he did as a Bulbasaur.
"Honestly Shelly is pretty well behaved when he's not trying to sneak snacks," Sweetie Bell said with a shrug. His appetite grew when he evolved into Wartortle.
Boomstick: Luckily, strategy is Red's specialty.
"And this is the part Twilight would agree with a smug smile," Spike said with a laugh.

"Huh... I have the strangest feeling Spike is going to do over time organizing the books for a week," Twilight muttered. Feeling like her son in all but blood just dissed her while she wasn't around... and doing something he's not supposed too.

Wiz: Red is famous for not just his unbreakable faith in his Pokémon, but also his brilliant and sometimes unorthodox strategies in battle. While still only eleven years old, Red defeated Kanto's eight gym leaders, took down the criminal organization Team Rocket, and became the regional champion, all in less than a year.
"Not gonna lie, that's pretty impressive..." Ember smiled.
Boomstick: He's good, but he's also got one hell of a Pokémon on his side. Charizard's are proud warriors, they dislike fighting weaker opponents, and really enjoy a challenge, many well trained Charizard's have won tough battles against all odds. Ash Ketchum's Charizard defeated an Articuno, and both his and Red's claimed victory in one on one duels with Blastoises.... Blasti? The-the big wa- the wa- the water turtle, that's hard to beat.
"The one that won the previous death battle..." Sweetie added smugly.
"Don't rub it in," Apple Bloom and Scootaloo muttered while giving their friend a glare.
Wiz: Which on paper, should have an enormous advantage, but that's not the limit to the flame Pokémon's feats.

Wiz: Mega Charizard X has gone toe to toe with legendary Pokémon capable of altering the planet, and Red's has even defeated Mewtwo, the most powerful psychic Pokémon known to man.
"Because he's a dragon," Smolder said with a smug smile.
"Now, now," Ember said to her fellow dragon. "We should never let pride overtake us."
"But you say that stuff all the time when I visit the dragon lands?" Spike said with a confused look.
"Ya but that was in a place where I didn't run the chance of being overheard by beings that could blast me into space," Ember muttered with a flat look.

Ethan reaches the top of Mt. Silver and is challenged by Red, who brings out his Charizard.
"....wait, why did he just stay on top of a mountain for Celestia-knows-how-long?" Applebloom asked skeptically.
"For dramatic effect duh," Scootaloo said with a smile.
"Darn straight," Smolder said while giving Scootaloo a fist bump.
"There's two of them now..." Sweetie Bell muttered.
"At least they're getting along," Spike said with a shrug.

Wiz: Or Yamagi Taichi in Japan.
Boomstick: -went camping with his friends. It promised to be a summer of fun and youthful adventures. Then a rainbow hole opened up in the sky, shot Tamagotchis at everybody, and sucked them into cyberspace.
"Note to self, avoid going to camp," Apple Bloom muttered. Knowing her and her friend's luck they would end up the same way.
Wiz: Well, yeah, basically. When Tai woke up, he discovered that he had been transported to the Digital World, where he met...
Boomstick: A bouncing pink blob that can talk.
Koromon: You don't need to be afraid of me! (chuckling) I'm your friend, I'm your friend, I'm your friend!
"Well he seems friendly," Sweetie Bell said with a smile. Liking the little Digimon energy.

"Think I might agree with him," Ember muttered. This was kind of weirding her out.

"And I thought the emerald breath was a bad name," Spike muttered.

"I thought it was cool when I first thought it up," Spike muttered.

"What?" the group asked. Who was Elvis and why did a monkey impersonate him?
Etemon: Now let's get something straight, sonny boy, I'm the monarch of rock and roll, your job is to make me happy!
"O...k?" Ember muttered with a raised brow. This was getting weird.
Boomstick: Man, how high were they when they wrote this thing?
"Higher than some of my cousins on sulfur," Smoulder said with an eye roll. One of the few things known by dragons is that they can use some things found in volcanoes as drugs.
Wiz: As their opponents became more and more powerful, so did the friendship between Tai and Agumon. As their bond grew, so did their power, and Agumon soon learned how to digivolve even further.
"If only friendship could make us transform and get stronger," Scootaloo whined. Maybe then Rainbow Dash would take her on her next adventure.
'I wonder if Twilight becoming an Alicorn counts,' Spike wondered. Heck, he wondered if it counted when Twilight and her friends used their rainbow powers?
Boomstick: First up is his Champion form, Greymon.
Agumon: Agumon, digivolve to...Greymon!
"He's a big Dino!" Sweetie Bell cheered. That was so cool!

Boomstick: Unlike Agumon, who can still pull off the whole cute and cuddly mascot thing, Greymon is two terrifying stories tall and way more powerful. Good luck snuggling up with that.
Smolder wrapped her wings around herself, hoping no one would notice her blushing.
Wiz: Greymon is so strong, he is more than capable of trumping other Champion level opponents in combat. Especially with his trademark attack, Nova Blast.
"Now that's an attack!" Spike cheered with a grin.
"Even better the Emerald Breath?" Ember asked with a smirk and only got a blush from the purple drake as the rest of the group giggled.

"I have no idea what he said but I'll just say awesome!" Scootaloo said with a cheer.

Wiz: Quite literally in fact. WarGreymon wears two clawed gauntlets called the Dramon Destroyers, weapons which are extremely deadly against draconic foes. To add to his defense, he carries the Brave Shield on his back, which is capable of blocking attacks from other Mega level Digimon.
"Cool but keep those claws away from me," Smolder said with a bead of cold sweat rolled down her head while the other dragons in the room looked nervous from the mention of the deadly dragon slaying claws.

Boomstick: We've come a long way from the annoying pink blob. WarGreymon's ultimate attack is the Terra Force, where he puts all the energy from the atmosphere into a big ball of total annihilation. God damn! That is some Dragonball Z shit right there.

Wiz: But don't overestimate a Digimon's power. The Agumon line is weak to Earth elemental attacks and too much damage may exhaust him and force him back to a prior form. Also, while Agumon and his ascending forms can fight and think alone, his power comes directly from Tai. Without their connection, digi-evolution would be impossible.
"Seems like he has one big weakness," Ember said with a hum.
"Well so does Charizard," Apple Bloom pointed out.
Boomstick: Yeah, but Tai started off as kind of a selfish dick, even trying to trick Greymon into digivolving further, which ended in a skeletal monstrosity rampage.
The group all had to keep themselves from screaming when they saw an image of the deadly monster known as SkullGreymon.
Wiz: Well, he never wanted to come off that way, but sometimes Tai was just too courageous for his own good, and for those around him. Even as a child, his courage was unprecedented, promoting his strong relationship with Digimon in the first place.
Tai shields his sister Kari from a falling Greymon.
Kari: Oh no, Tai, he's hurt!
Tai: Kari, there's nothing you can do!
Parrotmon begins walking up.
Tai: Greymon, wake up, he's coming!
Parrotmon readies an attack, and Kari blows on her whistle to try and wake him, but coughs. Tai takes it and blows it long and loudly.
"MY EARS!" the CMC cried as they covered their ears.
"Kids got guts... and a set of lungs," Ember said with a wince. He was brave but damn, Ember was pretty sure he woke up the whole city with that.

Wiz: Over time, he learned the humility and responsibility necessary to successfully lead the Digi-Destined against Apocalymon, basically the physical embodiment of the recycle bin, and save both the digital and real worlds from being deleted forever.
"That guy looks weird," Sweetie Bell said in a hushed tone because the guy still looked terrifying.
"And angry," Smolder added in.
"Ya, like all he ever got to eat, was the pizza crust while everyone else got the Pizza," Scootaloo commented while everyone else gave her weird looks.

"You better not," Ember hissed.
Young Tai keep blowing the whistle, but he runs out of breath. Greymon's eye snaps open and he rises up, roaring.
Tai: Go for it.
Greymon: Nova Flame!
He fires, destroying Parrotmon.
This caused the crowd to cheer as the mighty Digimon defeated its enemy.

Death Battle
In a canyon, Tai's Agumon is sitting by a campfire, roasting a marshmallow.
Agumon: Ah, there's nothing better than a campfire, and a golden, delicious marshmallow.
"Nope!" the CMC cheered. Though now they wanted Marshmallows.
"Wish we could roast gems like that," Smolder muttered with a huff. Why did Gems have to be so stubborn when trying to cook them.
As Agumon continues roasting his snack, Red walks on by and notes his presence.
Red: Who's that Pokémon?
'Oh, I see how's this going to turn out,' Ember thought. She could tell how this was going to turn out.
Red proceeds to take out a Pokéball and throws it at Agumon, which fails to catch him (because he's not a Pokémon) and forces the dinosaur to drop his marshmallow.
"That must hurt," Apple Bloom muttered while rubbing her snout. Reminded her of the time she got hit in the face with a baseball while playing with her friends.
Agumon: You killed my marshmallow!
"You monster!" Sweetie Bell cried out. What did the marshmallow do to him!?
As soon as Agumon starts speaking, Red is left visibly surprised.
Red: Whoa, you can talk!? You must be really rare!
"But he's not a pokemon," Scootaloo said with a raised brow.
As Red prepares to take out another Pokéball, Tai returns with some firewood.
Tai: Hey Agumon. I got some-
"Maybe seeing Agumon's "trainer" will convince Red," Spike suggested half-heartedly. Knowing it would never be that easy.
Tai is suddenly cut off by Red, who has procured the Pokéball containing his strongest Pokémon.

Red: I choose you, Charizard!
"But it's against the law to take someone's pokemon," Scootaloo shouted.
"How do you know that?" Smolder asked the orange filly.
"It was in this rule book Deadman gave us," the orange pegasus said as she pulled out said book from... somewhere. "He gave it to us one day when we kept saying the other was breaking the rules... even when we didn't know what the rules where at the time."
Red throws the Pokéball, and out from it comes the Flame Pokémon, Charizard, who roars upon release. The Trainer and Pokémon take a fighting stance.
"YAY! Go Charizard!" Scootaloo cheered with Smoulder even joining in her cheer.
Tai: Uh, okay?
Tai and Agumon reluctantly respond with the like.
"Well if anything, they can at least say whatever happens was in self-defense," Ember said with a shrug.
"Ya, can't get in trouble I guess," Spike agreed with a nod.
FIGHT!
Tai: Okay buddy. Go for it!
Agumon accepts the command and makes the first move.
Agumon: Pepper Breath!
"Still a dumb name," Spike said under his breath.
Agumon fires multiple fireballs from his mouth, which Charizard shields itself from with its wing. Agumon bears his claws in response and unleashes his Claw Attack on Charizard's abdomen, with no visible result. Charizard looks back at Red, wondering if it should do something, but Red simply shrugs. Agumon goes in for the final strike, bringing both his claws down on Charizard, but once again, it has no effect. Charizard finally makes a move and stomps the ground, shattering some surface underneath and sending Agumon into the air. Charizard then headbutts Agumon, sending him tumbling back. Charizard takes flight and sends Agumon higher into the air by striking him with its claws before reaching his height and sending him crashing into the ground with another claw strike. Charizard lands on the ground where Red silently commends Charizard for its efforts. Agumon gets up from his assault.
"Now that was a butt whooping!" Scootaloo cheered.
"Now that's what you get it done," Smolder added in with a smirk.
'Shouldn't get to excited,' Ember thought. Watching a few episodes from this show has taught her that not to jump to any conclusions so soon in the battle.
Tai: Agumon! Okay buddy. Let's kick this up a notch!
Tai activates his Digivice and prepares to Digivolve Agumon.

In Agumon's place is his Champion form, Greymon.
Greymon: Greymon! Hahahahahaha!
"Get him big dino!" Sweetie Bell cheered.
Red and Charizard look upon their newly-Digivolved opponent.
Greymon: Let's try-
Before Greymon can finish speaking, Red, still thinking Greymon is a Pokémon, throws another Pokéball at Greymon, which, of course, fails to capture the Digimon. Red then orders Charizard to take the offensive.
"Ok one he's not a pokemon," Applebloom listed off. "And two, even if he was he has Tai as a trainer so that means you can't catch him!"

Red: Mega Punch!
"Hey, I know that move!" Smolder shouted with a grin before turning towards spike and punching him in the shoulder.
"OW-Hey!" cried the purple drake while rubbing his arm while glaring at Smolder who laughed at Spike before being silenced by Ember via a punch to the noggin.
"Behave," the young dragon lord hissed out while glaring at her underling. Said underling could only grumble as she rubbed her sore head.
Charizard takes flight again and lands multiple Mega Punches on Greymon's head, all with little visible effect. Charizard proceeds to fly higher before dive-bombing at Greymon and landing Mega Punch-first on Greymon. The Digimon knocks the Flame Pokémon away with his horn, with no visible damage.
"He can really take a hit," Spike muttered while still rubbing his arm, wishing he had that kind of durability.
Greymon: Great Horns Attack!
Greymon unleashes his Great Horns Attack, sending Charizard flying back.
"And he can dish it out," Ember noted. Just one transformation and he was already tearing Charizard apart.
Tai: Haha! That's it!
Red: Flamethrower!
Charizard unleashes its signature Flamethrower at Greymon.
"You can do it!" Scootaloo cheered. She didn't care how bleak it might be, she was going to hope for her favorite pokemon to win.
Greymon: Nova Flame!
"Hey, Spike maybe you should call your next attack Emerald Flame," Sweetie Bell teased with a giggle.
"Oh ha, ha...," Spike muttered with an eye roll.
Greymon retaliates with his Nova Flame, which clashes with Charizard's Flamethrower evenly before he increases its power, overpowering Flamethrower and sending the flying lizard back. Charizard recovers and stays in midair to keep Greymon at a range.
Tai: We got him on the run. Turn up the heat!
Greymon continues unleashing his Nova Flame, which Charizard dodges around. Red issues another command to Charizard.
Red: Fire Blast!
Charizard unleashes the Fire Blast, striking Greymon and visibly hurting him.
"That got him!" Smolder said with a grin.
"Go Charizard!" Scootaloo added while jumping in the air.
Red: Keep it up!
"Time to spam," Ember commented. Seemed like the right move so far.
Charizard complies and unleashes Fire Blast after Fire Blast, which is appearing to take its toll on Greymon. Greymon is knocked back until his back is against a cliff.
Red: Aim above its head!
Charizard fires one final Fire Blast on the cliff above Greymon, causing rocks to fall on Greymon's head.
Red: Rock Smash!
"Oh, that one might hurt," Spike said under his breath. That was a big boulder.
Charizard prepares a huge boulder.
Tai: Greymon! He's coming!
Charizard plunges the boulder onto Greymon's horn before smashing it with its fist. Greymon takes little damage and responds appropriately.
"That didn't work out like he hoped," Ember pointed out. For such a good set up the pay off wasn't up to snuff.
Greymon: Tail Whip!
Greymon smashes his tail into Charizard, but instead of lowering its Defense like in Pokémon, it instead sends the lizard flying into the side of the canyon.
"Why does that work for him? Whenever my Pokemon uses tailwhip all it does is look very awkward..." muttered Sweetie bell with Scootaloo nodding in agreement. So unfair that a Digimon using tail whip actually did what the name applies.
Red: Get up, Charizard!
But before Charizard can recover...
Greymon: Nova Blast!
Greymon fires his signature Nova Blast attack, destroying more of the terrain and sending Charizard into the lake.
Red/Scootaloo: NO!
"Darn it!" Smolder shouted in frustration.
Tai: Huh. I guess that's that. Heh.
"Jerk!" the two orange Equestrians shouted in anger.
"But Red started it..." Spike muttered.
Charizard is seen falling into the lake's surface.
Red: It's not over yet! I believe in Charizard!
Red takes out his Key Stone and activates it, causing Charizard's Charizardite X to respond and creating a huge explosion of energy.
"I sure hope we can get some mega stones as well," Sweetie Bell said while giving the magic box in the corner of the room a huge smile.
And if anyone were to look closely they would swear they could see a sweatdrop on the box.

Coming out of the lake is Charizard, now Mega Evolved into Mega Charizard X, who roars with power.
"YA!!!!!" both Scootaloo and Smolder screamed as they hugged each other in joy as they saw Charizard rise from the water like a dragon from legend.
Tai: Whoa! He Digivolved!
"Well he's kind of right," Ember muttered in thought. It was temporary for that gave a huge boost in power.
Red corrects Tai upon hearing those words.
Red: N-no. This is Mega Evolution!
"You know in Tai's perspective it must seem real strange that someone had to go mega to fight a champion," Spike pointed out. Getting a few thoughtful looks from everyone else.
"Huh... your right," Sweetie Bell agreed with a nod.
Red signals Tai to his newly evolved Mega Charizard X before preparing to continue the battle.
Red: Let's go, Mega Charizard! Dragon Claw!
"I know that one as well," Smolder said with a grin, but it was quickly replaced with a nervous one when she saw her dragon lord flew her claws.
"Me too," Ember said in a flat tone as she gave a stern look to the younger dragon.
Mega Charizard X's claws glow green as it enters the offensive. Greymon tries to stop it with a series of Nova Blasts, but the now-christened Fire/Dragon type effortlessly avoids each blast before unleashing Dragon Claw upon Dragon Claw on the Digimon, visibly hurting him.
"Mega sure is doing work," Apple Bloom noted in awe of such a huge increase in power.
"But Greymon still has two transformations," Spike pointed out.
Red: Flare Blitz!
"Go get him!" Scootaloo cheered. She was so going to teach that one to her Charmeon when he evolves.
Charizard flies high into the air before crashing down on Greymon with Flare Blitz, creating a fiery explosion and forcing Greymon to revert back into Agumon.
Agumon: Tai!
Tai runs to Agumon.
Tai: Agumon! No!
"You need to get up!" Sweetie Bell cried. She didn't want Agumon to lose.
Tai activates his Digivice again to Digivolve Agumon.
Agumon: Agumon! Warp Digivolve to...
"What!?" screamed Smolder. "He can skip forms!?"
"Cheap!" cried out Scootaloo.

Agumon goes through Digivolution once more, but instead of evolving into Greymon again, his Mega form emerges instead, bearing his new Dramon Destroyers.
All the dragons in the room gulped when they saw the deadly claws. An instinctual fear was telling them to avoid those things at all cost.
WarGreymon: WarGreymon!
Red recoils back in surprise.
Red: What!? It evolved again!?
"Has it finally sinks in that he's not a pokemon?" Ember asked in a condescending voice.
Tai walks up to his newly evolved WarGreymon.
Tai: Yeah! Now you'll see what a real Mega Form can do!
"And it can due to some damage," Apple Bloom said with a nod. It was going to go down hill for Red now.
Red realizes he must end this fight as soon as possible.
Red: Charizard! Take him out quick!
Charizard complies and charges forward with another Flare Blitz.
WarGreymon: Great Tornado!
WarGreymon responds with Great Tornado, clashing into Charizard's Flare Blitz before sending Charizard flying back.
"It's over," Ember said in a sure tone. The power gap was real obvious, while Charizard might put up a fight it was clear who was going to win now.
"We don't know that!" Scootaloo shouted.
Red: Fire Blast!
Charizard unleashes another Fire Blast, now blue instead of red and drastically increased in power.
WarGreymon: Brave Shield!
WarGreymon puts up his Brave Shield and stops the Fire Blast entirely.
"One of Charizard's best moves and it did nothing," Sweetie Bell said in awe.
Red: Dragon Claw!
Charizard's claws glow green once again and flies to WarGreymon, who takes to the skies in return. Charizard attempts to strike the Mega level Digimon with Dragon Claw, but he swiftly dodges them all until the dragon finally lands a blow, sending WarGreymon flying back. WarGreymon responds by slashing the dragon with his Dramon Destroyers multiple times, damaging Charizard.
"Ow!" Smolder cried out. That was painful just to look at.
Red: Use Swift!
Charizard unleashes Swift upon WarGreymon, who attempts to fly away from the stars. However, thanks to Swift's no-miss ability, it quickly homes in on the Digimon.
Red: That's it! Set him up!
"Ya! Take him down," Scootaloo cheered. This has to win it for them.
WarGreymon finally lands on the ground and defends himself from the Swift attack with his Brave Shield. Red takes this opportunity to finish off the Digimon.
Red: Perfect! Charizard, Blast Burn!
Charizard is surrounded in blue flames before punching the ground. The flames rip through the ground to WarGreymon, where Blast Burn is unleashed, creating a massive explosion that overwhelms the Brave Shield.
"Yes!" both Scootaloo and Smolder cheered while giving each other a high five.
Red: Hoohoo! Yes, we did it!
Tai: Stop hurting my friend!
"Red is kind of the bad guy here," Spike pointed out. Agumon and Tai were just spending time together when this all happened.
Tai runs up to Red.
Red: What!?
Before Red can react, Tai punches him in the face which causes Red to stumble back.
Red: Ow!
"Oh in the face!" Applebloom winced. That didn't look pleasant.
Tai then kicks him in the shin, bringing Red down to the ground. Red is confused as to why Tai is fighting in a Pokémon battle.
Red: What are you doing!? We're not supposed to fight!
"Street rules!" Ember laughed. She didn't expect this is how the fight would turn out.
But Tai is beyond listening.
Tai: Call off your dragon!
Without Red to give it orders, Charizard just stands there, confused and unsure of what to do. Suddenly, WarGreymon reappears from the smoke.
WarGreymon: My turn!
"Do something!" Scootaloo shouted at the pokemon.
"It's no use," Spike muttered while shaking his head. Without his trainer, Charizard was lost without his master's guidance.
Before Charizard can react, WarGreymon impales it with his Dramon Destroyers before unleashing a series of fatal slashes to mutilate Charizard's wings.
"Oh, sweet Celestia!" Scootaloo cried out in tears.
"Oh my...," Smolder said before covering her mouth to keep from vomiting.
WarGreymon: Let's see you fly without these!
WarGreymon finishes assaulting Charizard before throwing it down to Red, who is currently being assaulted by Tai.
"Tai gave him a real beating," Sweetie Bell muttered. This was way more brutal than the episode they saw.
WarGreymon: Tai, look out!
Tai takes note of the crashing dragon and drops Red before running out of the crash zone.
Red: Oh geez...
Red is unable to react in time thanks to the beating Tai gave him and the speed of which Charizard is falling, forcing him to brace his 5'7, 200 pound Charizard crashing into his battered body. Red survives, but this leaves both of his legs completely broken.
"They're Twisted...," Applebloom muttered while staring at Red's legs.
Red: Charizard... you okay...?
"No," Scootaloo cried as she looked at the dying Pokemon.
Both Trainer and Pokémon are covered in blood as Charizard weakly gets up and starts limping to keep fighting. But WarGreymon prepares to end this once and for all.
WarGreymon: Terra Force!
WarGreymon unleashes his Terra Force upon the fatally injured Red and Charizard, incinerating them both completely. Tai lets go of WarGreymon and lands atop a cliff while the Mega level Digimon reverts to his Rookie Form Agumon once more, and both look upon the canyon, now set ablaze from the battle, and then the screen fades to black.
Tai: Phew... that was rough.
K.O!
The group was too stunned to say anything.

Boomstick: Ow... my childhood.
"Not now," Ember mumbled while getting up from her seat.
Wiz: Charizard may have started off with the mobility and versatility advantage, but the difference in power between the two only grew as the battle went on. First, when comparing the trainers, Red's bond with Charizard was strong enough to Mega Evolve, but like most Pokémon, the relationship is still one of master and, well...
Boomstick: Slave. Come on, you know it's true. I know there's the bond of friendship and whatever, but when Red's through with Charizard, it's back to the tiny spherical prison.
"It's not that simple!" The Crusaders snapped
"How do you think mega evolution is achieved!?" Scootaloo fumed. "It's not just as simple as pushing a button and waiting for results!"
(Not in the anime anyway....)
Wiz: Tai and Agumon, on the other hand, are best friends on equal footing, and Agumon's fighting power comes directly from Tai.
Boomstick: Yeah, these kids were called the Digi-Destined for a reason, and together they had enough power to stop an attack which could've wiped out both the digital and real worlds, and this is the power Agumon's using to digivolve.
Wiz: Charizard's flame could melt boulders, but that's hardly comparable to Chrome Digizoid armor.
Boomstick: Hell, MetalGreymon alone is officially documented as possessing the power of a nuclear warhead, and WarGreymon has weapons specifically designed to kill dragons.
Wiz: Honestly, it all comes down to a huge difference between Pokémon and Digimon itself, the escalation of evolution. Pokémon evolution improves monsters in increments, whereas the gap between Digimon forms is often massive, and quite frankly absurd.
Boomstick: In the end, Red and Charizard couldn't even hope for as much as a Tai.
"To soon," muttered Spike.
Wiz: The winner is the Digimon.

"That was fun till the end," Smoulder said as she paled at the thought of Red and Charizard's death. She was expecting a fight but nothing like that.
"I'm not really in the mood to check the box," Sweetie stuttered as she looked at the box as it started to glow. Everyone watched with bated breath, wondering what it was doing when it spit out a shoe box out and at everyone's feet.
The younger ones were a bit confused while Ember looked at the shoe box cautiously. The older dragon carefully opened the box to see three stones, three bracelets and a note inside.
"What're those?" Applebloom asked, pointing at the box.
"These stones are commonly used on Pokemon to achieve a mega evolution. Each stone must be used with the correct Pokemon in order to be used properly. To be able to use them, the stones must be inserted into the bracelets and the Pokemon must be at its highest evolution," Ember read out loud. The CMC looked somewhat excited as they took the correct stones and were out the door before anyone could say a word.
"Well want to do something else?" Spike asked as the other dragons decided to go outside to forget the gruesome death they witnessed.

We find ourselves in the farmlands of Apple Bloom's family where the CMC were making their way into the family barn. As they soon discovered their Pokemon Partners sitting in the middle of Barn, eating some food laid out for them, more than likely by ether Big Mac or Granny Smith. Though as soon as the three Kanto Starters noticed their Trainers each one got up and ran to their trainers in excitement, though they were puzzled when they saw their downcasted looks and were starting to worry when they didn't make a sound as they walked up to them.
"Char?" wondered the fire starter as he nudged Scootaloo, trying to get a response, the others attempting the same thing to little success.
though before anyone of them could consider using an attack to snap the CMC out of their stupor, they were caught off guard when their trainers dragged them into hugs and started to cry. not sure what to do the Kanto starters could only stand there and comfort the CMC as they wondered what happen to their trainers.
