DYLAN KING
"David, are you sure about this?"
"I know Cassy better than anyone else. Trust me on this one, Diana is in there and she's behind all of this" He said, pointing at the old abandoned building behind the trees.
David called earlier saying he knew where Diana was and it didn't take a second before I sprang up to my feet and headed to the car.
I got a lot of men for support, just in case the kidnapper was armed or they were kidnappers.
We picked David from the school's parking lot a few minutes later. To avoid paparazzi and unnecessary drama, the other cars had to stop close by while I got him myself.
He got into the car and spilled everything he knew about the kidnapper but for the first few seconds, I didn't believe his words.
It was Cassandra.
The words slipped out his mouth so easily, I didn't believe he could expose his sister with so much ease.
He said Cassandra got so jealous about the relationship, she got mad and hired a man to kidnap her, drive her far away in the woods and erase every evidence. She planned to kill her at first but didn't get the courage to and decided to leave all alone to die out of starvation.
He knew all of that cause she told him by herself. Yet, he spilled it out before the day ended.
"I'm not gonna kill you Dylan, you have enough men to take me down in a second. I'm just trying to help"
I sighed and replied "Okay"
He got out of the car after my reply and slammed the door shut behind him. I was out of the vehicle the next second, staring at David who looked indifferent about his actions.
We got off the road into the forrest along with at least a dozen men trailing behind us.
I couldn't define my emotions. I was happy, scared and surprised all at once. Happy I had finally seen what I was longing for, scared something might go wrong and surprised Cassandra was the kidnapper.
I mean, I thought of it and waved it off immediately, thinking she couldn't even hurt a fly.
The answer was right there in front of me but I didn't believe it.
"We're here" David said as soon as we were right in front of the broken wooden door. The handle was completely out of place, the color which I guessed used to be blue was grey with little stripes of it's original color andq so dry, it looked as if it'll break off with a single push.
David courageously led the way, pushing the door open and going in before one of my men to ensure proper security. I walked in after the two, taking fast steps into the building then slowing down after getting in.
It was completely empty, just a dusty broken bulb hanging off the torn ceiling. The sunlight reflected through the opening, lightening the room and shining on the dusty floor.
The paint on the walls were old and slowly peeling off, leaving pieces of the floor and the wood beneath exposed.
That was all to the room, e_
"Come on Cassandra, I just need a bottled water!"

DIANA KENT
"You've eaten enough to last you for ten years."
I swallowed the last bite of pizza and chugged down a can of Pepsi.
Finally feeling good enough, I placed the can in the box and handed it over to Dylan who still babied me cause I lied about feeling hurt and stuff like that.
He placed the empty box on the table while I buried myself beneath the sheets.
Food after three days of hunger. It felt like the sun was finally getting water after centuries of burning.
Cassandra went by her words and totally left me to die in hunger. I thought she would feel guilty enough to let me go but I guess she really wanted me out of her way for good.
I craved for onion rings and ice cream an hour later. I know, so early when I still had days to spend all alone but it wasn't my fault I got so hungry, it was evening already.
Night came and I lost my appetite after realising the room looked really haunted. The moonlight reflecting in the room, the opened door leading to total darkness, creepy peeling walls and cold wind through the windows made me feel so uneasy.
My mind kept playing tricks on me. Sometimes I saw illusions like a little girl crawling into the room with long black hair and white slimy dress with literally all her bones popped out of place and dislocated. Then she'd crawl to me and slit my throat so I'll join her army of ghosts.
Or the ghost of the family who had lived or been murdered here show up behind me and force me into leaving his home with no idea I had chains holding me down.
Just the thoughts made me so scared, I couldn't sleep. Not to talk of how chilly it was out there.
The next day came by after long hours and with hope Cassandra would realise her mistake and come back, I stayed up and waited patiently.
It was a disappointment to see she never came back for me.
With my mouth so dry from thirst, I craved Dylan's pancakes and sometimes dozed off and dreamt about a table filled with all kinds of food.
Once evening rolled in, I decided to sleep early to avoid the night's illusion. Things went as planned but that was till life decided to turn things around.
I woke up in the dead of night and didn't sleep till the sun rose up cause life was totally on my side.
Then a few hours after, I was saved.
I only got a glimpse of Dylan bursting into the room before I passed out.
I woke up a few hours later lying on my bed with a box of pizza, dozens of McDonald's, fizzy drinks and a couple of healthy stuff on the table next to me.
I thought it was a dream before I emptied a whole bottle of water and sighed in satisfaction.
Didn't eat so much after, just two hamburgers and a whole box of pizza.
"I was kidnapped Dylan, I deserve to be pampered for a lifetime"
"Of course, you do" He chuckled and adjusted beside me "Did she hurt you?"
Knowing he word bring that up, I sighed and replied "No, just left me to starve to death"
"I'm sorry for leaving y_"
"Stop Dylan" I cut him off "It's not your fault"
"You're saying that to make me feel better, I know it's my fault. I brought you into this, I had no idea Cassandra was so crazy. I should've apologized to her but I didn't"
"It's fine Dylan, it's no one's fault. You don't need to apologize, she just got so jealous and took things the wrong way"
"I could've lost you"
"The point is you found me, which reminds me, how exactly did you find me?"
"David helped"
"Cassandra's weird brother?"
He exposed his own sister?
I thought siblings had this bond that made them so close or something. I mean, I didn't understand it cause I was the only child but if I did have a sister, I could've lied and said and I found me in the bushes or wanted to find a quiet place far away and heard someone singing about food.
Not to actually rat out on her knowing the consequences of kidnap and attempted murder.
"I know, I was just as surprised. We couldn't find a thing on the car to get whoever drove it cause all the fingerprints had been erased so were left with nothing till David called and said he knew everything about the kidnap"
"And exposed his sister?"
"Oddly, yes"
"Where is he?"
"Well, Cassandra is still on the run so he took an immediate flight to California for his safety"
