-Derk's POV-

Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it!

"Rahhh!" I threw another table at the wall.

What the hell is going on here?! I just got word about my missing Basilisk, and I've been told that he's been dismantled!

The bastards who killed my pet took his scales and insides as if they were prizes! Damn it all!

I threw more things around my room.

"Milord! We have word about-Ack!" The goblin that just came in to report was shortly interrupted by a dagger that was stuck in his neck.

This little bug. How dare he come in while I express my anger?

As the pathetic goblin chokes on his own blood, he collapsed on the floor with his red fluids messing up my floor. Disgusting little pest!

I then proceeded to stomp on his head in anger. Each hit slowly deforming his head until it was unrecognizable to others.

While I did this, another goblin came in. When he saw what I was doing, he froze in fear.

I was about to kill him, but I held it in. He might have some information that I need.

Well, the other one had information too, but I wasn't in the mood at the time. It was his fault for walking in on my raging.

"What is it?" I demanded in a cold tone.

"Y-yes, milord! We've gotten word about what happened to your pet Basilisk."

"Then spill it!" I barked at the goblin.

"Right! One of our scouts found a village nearby where the Basilisk was found. They said that your pet killer was inside that village."

Finally! I can finally get my hands on the bastard that killed my beloved pet!

"Gather as many goblins as you can! Get them geared up and ready to raid that village. You will not kill any of the villagers until you find out which one killed my pet!" I ordered the goblin.

"Right away, milord!" The goblin soon left the room to prepare my army of goblins.

"Before you go, clean up this mess. Seeing this bastard is pissing me off."

"As you wish."

The goblin started to clean up the mess while I sat down on my throne.

I finally get to know who killed my beloved pet. I'll be sure to make this welp suffer for everything he's done.

Ah, but before I send out my men. I should make sure that this doesn't backfire on me.

I got up from my throne and left the room. The place I was in was a called the Drago Cave.

It was said that an ancient dragon used to live here thousands of years ago. Not only that, but I found out that this dragon really liked shiny objects because I found a room that was filled with gold treasures.

Coins, antiques, and more filled up the entire room. It was magnificent.

It was practically a gift from the gods. Not only do I get treasure beyond my wildest dreams, but I also have my little kingdom.

Anyway, aside from my treasure room, there was one room that I was heading to that was going to play a big role for my raid.

It was where I kept my other pets. Aside from my pride and joy, also known as the Basilisk, I had other pets that I keep in the cave.

They weren't as strong as my Basilisk, but they were definitely in the ranks. At least to deal with those pesky villagers.

Once I got to the room, I chuckled when my other pets were in front of me.

It's still hard to believe that I was able to tame these animals. They were pretty dangerous to control, but thanks to my special Skill, I managed to make them do whatever I wanted.

As I stared at my beloved pets, there was only one thing on my mind.

My revenge will be coming soon.

-Damien's POV-

Alright, let's get started.

"[Stealth]" I chanted.

"Well done, master. You managed to hide your presence. I can't see you nor sense you that well."

Great, it seems like it worked.

Right now, Amy and I were practicing what skills I could use. Since I have no Class, Amy made a theory that none of the Classes apply to me, which means that I can use the skills that others couldn't use together.

One of them was [Stealth]. This skill was part of the Assassins and Thief Class.

It allows the user to completely hide their presence so that others can't sense or see them.

Since I'm able to use the skills of an Assassin and Thief, I wanted to see if I could use a skill that doesn't require stealth. This was where a skill from the Warrior's class comes in.

And I already had a Skill in mind.

"[Iron Skin]" I chanted.

Suddenly, a faint yellow glow surrounded my body. I also noticed that I felt a little stronger than before.

"Alright, try it," I told Amy.

Amy followed my orders and picked up a rock. She then tossed it at me.

Well, by toss, it was more like a throw. She did this because when the rock hit me, I didn't feel anything.

This was due to the skill, [Iron Skin]. It strengthens the user's attack and also defense, so when that rock hit me, [Iron Skin] deflected the damaged that was inflicted by it.

Now, this skill doesn't block all damage, but it does block about fifteen to twenty percent damage. Anything higher than that I'll still feel it.

Amy and I were currently outside the village so no one will see us. I'm sure that if others saw me use two skills from two different classes, they'll likely panic.

Aside from [Stealth] and [Iron Skin], I tried a few other skills too. Since I could apparently use skills from different classes, I wanted to learn as many as possible.

I've been doing this for the past three to four hours. Although learning the skills seemed easy at first, it was pretty exhausting since I wanted to perfect these skills.

While I was practicing my skills, my [Detection] skill picked up something in the forest. It seemed that someone was spying on us.

"Master, I believe we're being watched," It seems that Amy also sensed it too.

Okay, let's go see who's spying on us.

I then activated [Shadow Step] and [Stealth] to rush at the enemy without it seeing me. It seems our little spy was hiding in the trees because I found someone on one of the branches.

It wasn't just any someone either. It was a goblin.

The goblin still hasn't noticed me yet, so I used [Stealth Strike] on it with a dagger that I borrowed.

[Stealth Strike] was an Assassin's Class skill that was used for assassination attacks. This skill strikes the enemy at its vital points like its neck, which was where I stabbed it.

The goblin gagged as the red liquid poured down its neck. It choked for a couple seconds and died soon after.

Once the goblin was dead, it fell off the branch and crashed into the ground. I was about to jump off until I noticed something.

There was another goblin a few meters away from my position. And it was staring right at me.

The new goblin noticed that I saw him and bolted. I didn't give it a chance and used [Shadow Step] to catch up.

Once I was close to the goblin, I grabbed its leg and tossed it in the air. The goblin screamed as it fell onto the ground making a booming sound.

It was still alive, but barely. I could tell that it was slightly twitching its body.

I then proceeded to kill the goblin. After I finished it off, I rushed back to Amy.

"I'm assuming the stalker's dead?" Amy asked.

"Two stalkers, actually. And, they were goblins too."

"Goblins, huh. Well, this forest does have a lot of them, so I'm not surprised."

"Yeah, I guess."

Something was on my mind, though.

I just couldn't help but think those goblins were sent by somebody. It could be Derk, but I didn't look at their status, and I can't appraise them when they're dead.

I feel like something bad's going to happen.

Despite this, Amy and I walked back to the village to continue on with our day.

Author's Note:

Oh, things are starting to get interesting.

Get ready people because we're about to go on a full-scale fight scene soon. So, be ready for that!

Another thing, [Shadow Strike] is part of the Assassination Arts. It's a Beginners technique.

If you haven't noticed, I only show [Swordmanship] or [Dagger Arts] instead of the technique skills. It's to save me time, but if you want to know what the techniques are, just let me know and I'll do it.

I want you to get a better understanding of how things work.

Anyway, see you in the next chapter and Happy New Year!

See Ya!
