The door bell rings and Mrs. Kumar opens the door to find Arjun, Naina, Jai and Ved at the door step....
'Bade Sahab ? What a surprise...! Please come in...' she says and clears their way to come in
Arjun and Jai silently walk in, wheras Naina and Ved greet Mrs. Kumar...
'How are you Tara...? Is your daughter okay now...?' Naina asks Mrs. Kumar
'All well Madam...' She replies and then looks at Jai and Arjun who were quietly sitting on the sofa not saying anything
'Where is Ananya...?' Arjun asks Mrs. Kumar
'Sir, she left for the office an hour ago...' she said and Arjun nodded
And there was an awkward silence again, with Arjun and Jai not saying anything and Naina - Ved looking worried
'Where is Amayraa...?' Naina asks Mrs. Kumar
'She is sleeping inside, May I ask something Madam...?' Mrs Kumar says and Naina nods
'Is everything alright...? Bade Sahab and Arjun sir don't look okay...' She says looking at them
'They are just tired with the travelling Pappy...' Ved replied on Naina's behalf..
'I'll make tea for you all then...' Mrs. Kumar says
'Where is Aayan...?' Jai asks
'Baba is in Hyderabad, he will be back by 5 in the evening...' She replies
'Why is he in Hyderabad...?' Ved asks
'Yesterday Baba lost a court case, so he went there to talk to his investors or something like that...' Mrs. Kumar says and they look at her bewildered
'Ananya also had her first case yesterday...' Arjun mutters
'That is the very case Baba lost, Arjun sir... Ananya baby defeated Aayan Baba in the court case yesterday....' she informs happily and they look at her shocked...
'What...!' Arjun and Jai exclaimed together
'How is that possible...!' Ved muttered shocked
'Are you sure Tara...?' Naina asks and Mrs. Kumar nods
'Yes madam, yesterday Ananya won her first case because Aayan baba gave a statement which favoured Ananya's case and he lost deliberately to make her win...' Mrs. Kumar smiled and they were shocked again
'What are you saying Pappy...' Ved said
'This is true Ved Baba, Ananya herself told me everything....' Mrs. Kumar said
'But they had differences..!' Arjun exclaimed and Mrs. Kumar's smile faded
'Is that the reason why you all are here...?' She asked
'You know about them...?' Jai asked
'Yes Bade Sahab, they did try to hide their differences by pretending in front of me, but eventually everything came out...' she said
'Why didn't you tell us...' Naina said
'Ananya requested me not to do so...' Mrs. Kumar replied and Arjun frowned
'But now everything is okay between them Bade sahab... Aayan baba really changed after marrying her, now he takes care of her like any loving husband does... Trust me on this... Aayan baba lost his company's money to make Ananya win yesterday...' Mrs. Kumar said assuringly
They all were shocked after hearing this, Ved and Naina sighed in relief, and Jai had a proud smile on his face, while Arjun didn't say anything...
'See my son is not that devil either...' Jai taunts Arjun and he glares at him
'We will see about that... Let them come home first...' Arjun snapped
'We are celebrating Ananya's victory today, It's good that you guys are here too...' Mrs. Kumar said trying to lighten the atmosphere
'Yeah Pappy you should make their favourite dishes...' Ved suggested
'I'll help you Tara...' Naina offered
Just then the landline of the home rings and Jai picks it up
'Hello..?' He answers the call
'I am calling from Apollo hospital, is this Ananya Thapar's house....?' A man's voice came from the other side and Jai's heart started beating faster at this
'Yes... Yes... I am her father in law... Why what happened to her...?' Jai asks and they all look at him scared
'Sir your daughter in law was found badly injured near J. B. Road, she has lost a lot of blood... We suggest you to reach here ASAP...' The man said and Jai couldn't find his voice...
'Yes.. Yes we are coming...' he manages to say and hangs up, and looks at Arjun scared
'Ananya is in hospital, they found her on some road...' Jai says and Arjun couldn't stand after hearing this, he almost loses his balance and Ved catches him
'Let's Go...' Naina says and Ved helps his father to stand properly
'Take care of Amayraa Pappy, we'll call you from there..' Ved says and they rush out of Aayan's apartment..
In the hospital...
Ved and Arjun run towards the emergency ward, followed by Naina and Jai, they spot doctor talking to the policeman
Arjun hurriedly approaches the doctor who looks at him bewildered
'Ananya Thapar... Where is she...? I got a call from here... Is she okay...?' He shot questions at the doctor looks at the policeman
'May I ask what is your relation with her...?' Policeman says and before Arjun could reply, Ved answers on his behalf...
'He is her father and I am her older brother, we are her family... Now please tell us how is my sister...' Ved snaps the last part to the doctor
'She has lost a lot of blood, and has suffered a head injury, we have to operate her to stich the wounds... And check for concussions....' Doctor said and they gasp
'Do it then... Operate her... Save my daughter please...' Arjun pleads
'Yes doctor, call your experts, do anything, save our daughter please...' Jai said and Naina was in tears hearing this...
'You have to do the police formalities, its not an accident, it's an attempt to murder case...' Doctor says and they look at the policeman shocked
'Attempt to murder...?' Ved asks
'Yes, your sister was thrown out of a running car as per the only eye witness we got...' Policeman informs
'Somebody tried to kill my daughter ? Who...! Who did that... I will rip that person with my bare hands...!' Arjun growled and Naina holds his hands to stop him
'We are investigating, as for now it's all known that the black SUV didn't have a registration number... How stupid is that...' The policeman chuckles at the last part, but then composes his expression seeing the seriousness there..
'We'll do all your formalities, just ask them to operate my daughter, please...' Jai pleads and Policeman nods
Jai and Ved were giving details to policeman and Naina was crying holding Arjun who was numb at that moment...
'If... If anything happens to her... I...' Naina sobs
'Nothing will happen to her okay... God can't be unfair to us for the second time Naina, our this daughter will surely survive... Understand...?' Arjun says firmly and hugs her tightly and she sobs in his arms
3 hours later...
Vansh runs towards the emergency room to find his family sitting outside the ER
He rushes towards Arjun who was leaning against the wall like some lifeless statue and holds his arms
'How did this...happ...' Vansh asked his voice was cracking, he could hardly speak anything...
Arjun looked at his son and then hugged him tightly and Vansh started crying in his arms
'Who did this to her... ! I'll kill that bastard !' Vansh exclaimed and Arjun pats his back to calm him down..
'Police is investigating... They want to know if we have any suspects...?' Ved asks as he talked to the policeman over the phone now
He wants to kill your daughter too....
Ananya defeated Aayan Baba in a case yesterday...
Different voices boomed in Arjun's head and he leaves Vansh and turns to Ved
'Tell them that we suspect her Husband Aayan is behind all this...' Arjun says angrily and all of them looked at him shocked
'What are you saying, Papa...' Vansh says shocked
'Arjun, my son won't fall this low alright...' Jai defends Aayan
'Think rationally Arjun, what are you saying...!' Naina says
'If Aayan has an audacity to marry for revenge, and cheat on my daughter on her face ! Then why not this...! Afterall he lost lot of money because of her Yesterday...!' Arjun spat and Vansh looked at him shocked
'What...! Why didn't anybody tell me this...?' Vansh asks Naina
'That doesn't prove anything Papa, and this is a serious allegation on Aayan... Why will he try to kill his own wife ! When he deliberately lost the case for her....' Ved tried to reason
'Snakes like him know how to decieve people very well...' Arjun said angrily
'ENOUGH...' Jai growls, but the doctor comes out
'No sir, we have no suspects...' Ved says to the policeman and cuts the call
'We've operated her wound, thankfully it wasn't very deep and the blood also clotted... There are no serious concussions as well, overall She is fine... Will be up in 3-4 hours... We'll shift her to general ward then you can see her...' Doctor informs and everyone sighs in relief...
After 10 minutes, they take out Ananya whose head was covered with bandage from the ER and take her towards some room and Arjun - Naina hurriedly follow them...
Just then Jai remembers something...
2 days ago...
'Son, I hear you have that land hearing tomorrow... How long will it take to get sorted...?' Jai asks Aayan over the phone
'They have hired a new lawyer for the case Papa, stupid people don't realise that they don't have any case at all...' Aayan replies
'You sure you will win this case ? I mean a lot of money is involved in this... Are you 100% sure that the case is yours...?' Jai asks
'100% Dad... And if not, I'll take care of that lawyer outside the court...' Aayan joked
'Play fair son, Don't mess with a honest person's life who is just doing their duty...' Jai warns him
'I don't spare those, who make me lose Dad...' Aayan said
'Aayan....' Jai scolds
'Okay okay... I'll try....' Aayan replied
'Good boy...! All the best for tomorrow...' Jai said
'Don't wish me luck Papa, pray for that poor lawyer...' Aayan laughs and Jai chuckles and cuts the call..
There is still a bit of Priyanka in this boy... Jai says...
'Oh no....' Jai blurts out recalling their conversation and tears fill his eyes
'What happened Bade Papa...?' Ved asks concerned
'I think Arjun is right Ved... Aayan can be behind this...' Jai said and Vansh fists his hands
'Bade Papa, what are you saying...' Ved exclaims shocked
'Yes, beta, last time I spoke to him, he said that he will not spare that new lawyer...' Jai says meekly
'That Dog !' Vansh says angrily
'Bade Papa, lets not jump into conclusions by knowing only one aspect of the story, let Aayan come... We will ask him everything...' Ved says and Vansh huffs at this
'Says the one who accused his wife for being a gold digger, without even listening to her...!' Vansh taunts Ved
'I learn from my past mistakes alright...! I am not like you, who doesn't even want to know what is the other person's perspective....' Ved reverts back
'I can't believe that you are taking that liar Aayan's side, and not backing your own sister...' Vansh accused
'Aayan is not a liar okay ! Out of everyone here, I know him better, I have seen his worst and the most vulnerable side... I have seen him go through the emotional struggle, identity crisis, career crisis...! He was never understood by his own parents, he never had their support... That man is truly self made and if he acts selfish sometimes it's not his inherent nature, it's been imbibed on him by his own people ! Yes Aayan can be selfish Vansh, but he can never stoop this low for a revenge...' Ved says angrily and Jai wipes his tears
'Your friend, married my sister for revenge, cheated on her and I am very sure tried to kill her as well... I won't leave him alive, once I get my hands on him and I promise you, you or anyone won't be able to stop me...!' Vansh challenges Ved
'Are you implying that I don't care for my sister at all ?' Ved says angrily
'From the way you are defending your friend, I don't think you ever cared for her...!' Vansh matches his tone
'Don't fight boys..!' Jai stops them and Vansh glares at Ved and then walks towards the room where Ananya was resting...
'Let's go Bade Papa....' Ved grabs Jai's hand and takes him inside...
As they walk inside, they see Ananya lying on the bed, her body pale and had bruises near her neck, arms and her head was bandaged..
Naina was sitting on her left, caressing her head, tears rolling down her eyes all the time..
Arjun was sitting on her right, holding her hands, tears rolling down his eyes too...
In the 25 and a half years of Ananya's existence, Arjun didn't let her to get even a scratch on her body, he made sure she was safe from everything and doesn't cry for anything...
His love for his daughter was known to everybody, and after knowing what Aayan did to her, he didn't react as expected by others and his unusual silence indicated that Aayan was in a big trouble...
Jai couldn't control his tears seeing Ananya's condition, he walks towards Arjun and puts his hands on his shoulders...
'I am sorry Arjun, it's all my fault...!' Jai cries
Arjun doesn't reply, a lone tear escapes his eyes as he kisses his daughter's hands who is lying unconscious on the bed, her body bruised
'I failed as a father, I failed to teach Aayan his limits, look what he did...! I am so sorry...!' Jai sobs caressing Ananya's hairs...
Arjun fists his hands, hearing Aayan's name and he glares at Jai with his bloodshot eyes...
'Your son is a monster ! Why would you do this to my girl Jai... I thought you loved Ananya !' he cried
'I love your Ananya, Arjun you know that ! She is dear to me, more than my Nitaara !' Jai counters wiping his tears
'Still, you got her married to a man like Aayan !' Arjun gritted
'I thought she can change my heartless son, Arjun ! I didn't know...' Jai explains but Arjun cuts him in between
'My daughter is not some Godwoman, who can change that beast Jai !' Arjun half yells
'Dad please !' Ved tries to calm him down
'I swear on my daughter, if she doesn't recover back as she was, I will never forgive you !' Arjun glares at Jai
Jai doesn't reply to this, tears roll down his eyes...
'I'll kill that Bastard ! I'll hunt him down from hell and destroy his existence..' Vansh raged
'Vansh please ! Dad hear me out, Aayan won't do this ! I agree he is short tempered, but he won't fall this low....' Ved said
'Mr. Thapar, please ask your perfect son to stay out of this !' Vansh grits
'Go son, Do whatever you wish, I won't stop you today !' Arjun says to Vansh, simultaneously glaring at Ved..
'No one is going anywhere !' Naina declares rising from her seat..
'Maa ! Why are you....!' Vansh says helplessly
'Ved is right, Aayan won't do this... I have faith in my upbringing !' she croaks caressing her daughter's cheeks
'Do you realise, that you are saving your own Daughter's culprit !' Arjun raged
'I have talked to him alright and he assured me that he won't hurt Ananya anymore, I trust his words, he won't break his Naina mom's trust again...' Naina says and the men looked at her shocked
'You knew about this...!' Arjun says glaring at her
'The girl you see in that video did meet me in person and trust me all her tears were fake, so I confronted the very next day.... He even showed me the proof that she was lying...' Naina said
'I don't believe this Naina, why would you hide that from me...! It's the matter of my Ananya's life damn it !' Arjun said
'Maa, this was not expected from you...' Vansh says siding with Arjun
'I knew you would not give Aayan any chance to explain himself and taken Ananya away from him...' Naina says
'We are anyway taking her away from that worthless man Maa...' Vansh sneers and Arjun nods
'Don't jump into conclusion both of you...' Naina scolds them but they don't listen to her
'Make arrangements, we'll take Ananya to your house... Away from these Aayan supporters...!' Arjun says to Vansh and he nods
'Aayan didn't do anything ! Why don't you...' Naina counters
'Papa, please... Aayan won't do this...' Ved said too
'Shut up ! Enough taking his side both of you !! I am sending police to arrest your favourite Aayan...!' Arjun barks angrily, eyeing Ved and Naina
'Arjun please !'
'I can't believe you're taking that worthless boy's side ! Even after knowing what he did to your daughter, what kind of mother are you !' Arjun accused her, while Vansh glares at his mother
'Dad ! Please calm down ! You don't know what you are saying !' Ved says
Tears roll down Naina's eyes
'I know exactly what I am saying !' Arjun scolds Ved and then turns to Vansh 'What are you doing here ! Go find him, inform police, Hire private security, do anything ! I don't care, but bring that beast in front of me ASAP !' he raged
'Right away Papa !' Vansh said and leaves the private ward angrily
'Arjun, hear me out....!' Naina says admist tears
Jai stops her, holding her shoulders..
'Please Naina ! Don't take Aayan's side.. this time he crossed all his limits !' he says and Arjun huffs
'Bade Papa, please don't doubt Aayan ! You know your son !' Ved pleads
'Exactly Ved, I know my son ! Hence, I can say he can do this !' Jai says
He walks towards Arjun and holds his hands
'I give all rights to you Arjun, do whatever you want to do with my son ! You have my word, I won't say anything...!' he said, tears rolling down his eyes
Arjun jerks his hands away and walks out of the ward, wiping his own tears...
3 hours later...
Ananya opens her eyes slowly and blinks them to adjust with the bright lights of the hospital
She tries to get up, but a sharp pain shoots in her head, and she cries in pain, lying back..
Arjun and Naina who were sitting near the sofa, look at her and hurriedly rush towards her
'Baby... Are you okay...?' Naina asks caressing her face
'My head Maa... It hurts...' Ananya whimpers and Arjun rushes out of the room to call the doctor
'You'll be fine baby...' Naina kisses her head and Ananya nods
Arjun rushes back to the room followed by doctor, her brothers and Jai..
'Ms. Thapar, tell me where it hurts...' Doctor asks while checking her pulse
Ananya points to the left of her forehead which was bandaged
'It's your stitches that must be hurting, I'll give you painkillers they will help...' Doctor informs and gives her a tablet
She gulps the tablet and then lies down with Arjun's help
'I'll be back to check on you in an hour and then we'll test you for any internal injuries...' Doctor says and walks out of the ward
'Are you okay princess...?' Arjun asks holding her hands
'Yes Paa...' Ananya replies meekly as shaking her head was hurting
'You scared us Annie...' Vansh says caressing her face and Ananya sighs
'Baby, do you feel pain anywhere else except the head..?' Naina asks
'No Maa...' Ananya says
Jai and Ved did not say anything, Jai just wipes his tears and Ananya sees this
'Papa... Don't cry...' Ananya says in a low voice and Jai walks towards her
'It's all because of me princess...' Jai says and Ananya's eyes fill with tears too
'No Papa...' She says, her pitch getting lower
'Don't say anything Annie... You need rest...' Ved says
'Where is Aayan...?' She asks weakly and they look at her bewildered
'He won't come near you Princess... Don't get scared...' Arjun assured her
'I.. I want... I... Want to ask.. Ask him some... Something... Please... Let me talk....' Ananya struggles to say but then winces in pain
'Don't say anything...' Naina instructs
'Maa.. Aayan... He...' She says and starts crying and Arjun's heart breaks seeing her like this
'We will send Aayan to you as soon as he reaches here...' Naina assures her
'He did this Maa... He broke promise... The goon said....' Ananya tries to say and Arjun - Vansh glare at Jai and Ved who gasped at this
Naina hugs her and she cries in her arms..
'Don't say like this beta, let's hear him out first....' Naina kisses her head
'Are you serious right now..! She just said Aayan did this and you still want to hear his side...' Arjun exclaims angrily
Naina was about to reply him, but then she feels Ananya fainting in her arms and panicks
'Ananya... Ananya baby... Wake up... What happened...' she pats her cheeks lightly and others get scared at this
'No no no Princess...' Arjun panics too, shaking her lightly and Vansh runs out to get the doctor
Doctor examines her and turns to them...
'The painkillers are doing their work Mr. Thapar... Don't worry, she is just resting...' he assures and they sigh in relief
'I suggest only one of you to stay with her, and rest of you can wait outside..' He said and others nodded
'I'll stay...' Naina says
'No ! I'll stay...' Arjun glares at her
'I am not asking you, I am saying that I will stay with my daughter...' Naina counters angrily
'And I am saying you will not stay with my daughter...! You go to your Aayan...' Arjun reverts back
'Enough both of you...!' Vansh intervenes in between
'Paa, let Maa stay here, we have to deal with that Aayan...' Vansh says to Arjun and he nods
'Vansh don't you...' Naina began
'Please Maa, not today...' Vansh says and they all walk out of the room
While they were waiting outside, they see Aayan running in the corridor to find Ananya's room..
He looked a complete mess, his hair dishevelled, his eyes swollen, one could easily say he was crying all along...
He spots Ved and runs towards him
'Ved...! How did this happen... Who did this to her...! How is she now... Tell me please...' he said shaking Ved, who tried to calm him down
'Aayan relax...' Ved says
'Relax ! My wife met with an accident... She is unconscious, And you are asking me to relax...? Tell me how did this happen..?' Aayan demands
'Why ? Didn't your goons give you the full details about how they threw her out of the running car...?' Vansh said angrily and Arjun dials someone's number
'What...! She was thrown out of a car...?' Aayan exclaims shocked
'Don't pretend alright... We know that you did this...' Vansh sneered
'Are you crazy Vansh ! Why will I do that... She is my wife...' Aayan countered angrily
'If you can marry for revenge, you can do this as well...' Arjun said and Aayan looked at him shocked
'Big Dad, you are getting it all wrong, please let me explain...' Aayan said
'No need to explain anything son, Ananya told us everything... Give your statement to the police now...!' Arjun said glaring at him and Jai didn't say anything at this, he just wiped his tears
'What...! She must have misunderstood me...! Let me talk to her...' Aayan tried to get inside, but Vansh stopped him
'She is asleep Aayan, she won't wake for another hour...' Ved says
'Atleast tell me she is okay...' Aayan says to Ved, tears filling his eyes
'What an actor...!' Vansh comments and Aayan ignores him
'Ved... Please tell me she will be fine ! tell me she didn't get much wounds, tell me was she in pain...?' Aayan asks Ved and holds him by shoulders
'She will be fine... Don't worry...' Ved says and Aayan sighs
'Big Dad, I didn't do anything, I won't do this to her, she is the only woman I love...! I can't think about doing this to her, even in my dreams... Please listen to me...' Aayan says holding Arjun's hands and He jerks it away...
Aayan turns to his father
'Dad, please atleast you listen to me...' He says and Jai looks at him teary eyed
'I am ashamed of you boy ! You truly are your mother's son...' Jai says angrily and Aayan looks at him helplessly, tears rolling down his eyes
'Please trust me guys, I didn't do this...' Aayan says looking at everyone but only Ved looked at him sympathetically...
'Bro... Atleast you listen to me...' Aayan says to Ved and he nods
'Where is Naina Mom...? She will hear me out for sure...!' Aayan exclaimed and looked around...
'No one will listen to you and you will stay away from Ananya...' Vansh says glaring at him
'And who will be you to stop me from seeing her...?' Aayan counters angrily
Ved holds Aayan and pulls him away from Vansh
'This is not the right time Aayan...' Ved says to him and he sighs
The police arrives there and Ved looks at his father shocked
'Dad...' Ved exclaims
'Sir, he is the culprit, My daughter said his name, you may take her statement afterwards, please take this man away from here...' Arjun points at Aayan and he seem not to care about police, he wanted to go and see Ananya...
The policeman catches Aayan and he jerks his hands away...
'I didn't do anything...! And I am not leaving without seeing my wife...' Aayan exclaimed angrily
'We have complaint against you, and we are arresting you...!' The policeman holds him forcefully and Aayan tried to get out of his hold
'Dad...! Ask him to leave me... I didn't do anything...' Aayan says to Jai and he didn't say anything
'Atleast stand by me for once !' Aayan yells and Jai looks at him shocked and Ved helplessly looks at his father
'Papa, you are doing a big mistake...please please stop them !' Ved says and Arjun doesn't reply
Naina comes out of the room and gasps seeing the scene
'What are you doing leave him...' Naina moves towards them, but Arjun grabs her arms and pulls her back
'Mom !' Aayan yells and the hospital staff stares at him
'Mom ! Tell them... Tell them I didn't do anything...' he shouts while policeman drags him out...
'Arjun are you crazy... You got your son in law arrested ! He didn't do anything...' Naina says to Arjun
'For once in your life, think about the girl you gave birth to, and not your god son...' Arjun says angrily and Naina was speechless at this...
The policeman dragged Aayan out of the hospital and Ananya unaware of what her half statement did, was not conscious...
Was this the meaning of Ananya's statement, I will never be yours..?
Was this their end..?
