Autumn
It took me about 2 hours to straighten my hair out. I was actually very hesitant and I was questioning going to this coronation, I even questioned rejecting him. I didn't like the idea of Raven being here somewhere plotting revenge and the fact that he is all for it and is the one who sent a hunting party out for her. But on another hand, I have to "respect" his leadership and I don't think he'd put the whole pack in danger just because of some girl.
Also, I hate to admit it but I've become more and more attached to that asshole it's the whole mate thing that's why because I know myself and I know I would never put up with any of this shit if he wasn't my mate. I've tried convincing myself all day to reject him and get on with my life, even though it may be cut short after a mate rejection, but I couldn't come through with it. The mere thought hurt me to the core, so here I am slipping on the silk dress he got me and getting ready to be named official Luna of Moon River pack. My heart on my sleeve.
A soft knock on the door of my room snapped me from my thoughts, "come in" I said after properly adjusting the dress on me. It was actually more form fitting than I thought and I looked damn sexy in it
"Wow," a deep male voice said from behind me, it wasn't Mason's I knew that for sure
I turned around to be face to face with Jack, a smile crept on my face, "hey," I said
"We really get to have YOU as our Luna? Damn we are one lucky pack, you look stunning" he said
I laughed pushing my hair behind my ear, "thank you," I said humbly, I walked past him and went to the restroom to do my makeup.
I didn't have to but I wanted to, it was a big night and I had to look extra good, "what are you even doing here? Shouldn't you be getting ready for the coronation we start in an about an hour" I said to him from the bathroom
"I will, I just had to check up on you first m'lady" he said a smirk on his face, he was now in the bathroom with me
"I'm fine, my leg healed a while ago" I said with a smile while fixing my eyebrows
"I know that," he said leaning on the wall "I came to check if those marks raven left you healed properly"
I rolled my eyes upon hearing her name, it was a instinct thing. "Mason healed them for me the same night, I have no marks, maybe you should check her since she's still here" I said bitterly, again instinctively
He chuckled a low chuckle, "I did, I actually just came from her cell. She healed rather quickly being a wolf but she does have a fracture on her skull. As an omega she won't be able to heal that, and I certainly can't do anything about it without further injuring her"
"Good" I said again with the bitterness "hope she goes fucking brain dead,"
"I don't think-" I slammed my makeup brush in to its container and turned to face him cutting him off
"I don't get it, I mean he told me to trust him but I don't. I- I can't the bitch is still here, getting care from a whole ass doctor and I'm sure she's eating good. She almost ate my fucking throat out and she gets to live ? I'm pretty sure if it was any other person they would've been executed on sight but he's in love with her and I can't shake the feeling. I hate it, how can he love her and still have a mate? Where the hell do I stand? Am I just here for decoration? For a title ? I mean every second I'm around him he irritates my soul! I feel my blood boil and all I do is yell at him but then I don't wanna lose him. I don't wanna be away from him for more than 5 minutes, I'm falling harder and faster for him every agonizing second. Why on earth- HOW on earth can he love her?" I felt the shakes coming along, I always start to shake when I'm this upset
"Hey, hey relax" jack said coming to me, he placed his hands on my shoulders and caressed me to calm me down "you're his mate of course you're going to fall for him Autumn but don't think he isn't feeling the same. Mason acts like he's all tough but best believe he's got a soft spot. Honestly I've never seen him look at Raven the way he looks at you, even before you came into the house he's never once looked at her like that. Even when you're yelling at him, he looks like he's in dreamland or something" he chuckled "but I can't lie to you and say that he doesn't love her, he does but you don't have to be in love with someone to love them gattino "
"You're Italian?" I asked hearing that word, I've spent numerous times in Italy so I've caught up on the language a bit,
"Yeah," he smirked I gave a low giggle and turned back to the mirror to continue my makeup
"Well I'm not a kitten, far from it" I said
He laughed, "I know, I know" he said. After that he checked me anyway to see if I had any swelling, bruising, or internal pain from the fight. Even though on the outside I was healed inside could be damaged but luckily I was okay, he said the soreness was normal.
I finished getting ready and as if on cue Lilly came into my room looking damn gorgeous. She had her hair in a slicked ponytail and her dress was a long sleeved bandage dress that had a very low v neck line exposing her cleavage, needless to say she looked hot.
"Everyone's waiting, you ready to go?" She asked
For some reason I felt annoyed by her, I felt betrayed so I just looked at her rolled my eyes and walked past her. Sorry ya girl is P E T T Y.
"You alright?" She asked me as we walked out the room corridors down the stairs
"Do I not look alright?" I asked her back with much attitude
"Rolling your eyes at me and that attitude says you aren't, what happened?" She asked "did Mason-"
"It isn't just Mason, you tried it and you know it don't even act like miss innocent" I said facing her once we were finally down the stairs
"I have no clue what you're going on about! The hell did I do?" She asked getting irate with me but did I care no
I opened my mouth to give her a piece of my mind but some girl who looked nearly identical to Lily came to us interrupting, "Luna you're late, we should go continue this later, yeah?" She said
"Yeah." I said she nodded and motioned for us to follow her and we did just that.
We made it to the garden and there were garden lights on the floor and mini fairy lights leading us out towards the empty grassy field near the woods. Small petals of red tulips were scattered down a narrow path and from there I could see everyone, seated in white chairs that had tiny fairy lights around them as well and floating on top of us were these beautiful floating lanterns lots of them. Lily and the girl who brought us here were now gone and it was just me, I walked down the path and everyone stood. It was like a wedding, I guess in a way you can say it is.
Mason stood and couldn't take his eyes off me and I couldn't stop admiring him either. His hair was pulled in a slick low bun, he wore a white button up that was a perfect tight fit but it wasn't even buttoned up he left it opened showing off his gorgeous tatted body, he had on white jeans that were cuffed at the bottom and a silver wallet chain on the pants. He looked so good, too good.
I finally made it to the "alter" which was just an archway that was surrounded by pretty flowers. Mason put his hand out for me which I gladly took and he helped me up. Goosebumps rose on his skin but it was brief unlike the butterflies in the pit of my stomach that remained.
"Now that everyone is here, let us begin" A short old man who I've never quite seen before said stepping from behind Mason, he was really tan, not even he was pretty much brown and very much resembled a Native American what stood out the most were his green eyes, they were like emeralds.
I felt an annoyingly satisfying tingle on my knuckles and looked at Mason "Say your name," he whispered taking me out my trance an adorable smile on his face
"Oh sorry," I giggled "my name is-" mason closed his eyes and shook his head disapprovingly
"What? You sai-" he opened his eyes and smiled, a real smile teeth and all
"Just continue angel" he said I could hear laughter coming from the crowd behind us
I looked at him confused, was I supposed to say my name or??? "Autumn Mikayla Rhodes" he spoke for me
The old man chuckled and proceeded with what he was saying. After a couple minutes we were to do something to show our joint. Mason put his finger in his mouth and seconds later he took it out and blood dripped from his index, he took my hand and placed my finger in his mouth and immediately I felt a little pinch. It wasn't till I saw a bit of blood drip from the corner of his mouth I noticed he was humming from tasting my blood. I pulled my finger out his mouth and he turned a shade pink as he licked the blood from the corner of his mouth away.
"Connect your fingers" the old man announced
We did so, our bloods mixing. Honestly the whole thing was starting to make me nauseous I wanted to get this over with I'm bad at seeing blood.
"Their joint fingers and blood mixing defines their equality, they are now to be seen as equals, they are one. The inseparable bond of a wolf and his mate will keep them close and now their jointing will keep them closer. As alpha and Luna they are to be treated with the same respect." All that he was saying was nice and all but I needed for him to speed this up cause I was gonna pass out seeing this much blood
He took our fingers and placed his in the middle of my forehead and mine on his. I cringed at the sight and feeling. After that mason licked over his finger then licked over mine, pretty sensually if you ask me. The old man waved someone over and from the crowd stood Dustin a small black box in his hands. He handed it to the man and sat back down.
"I will now pronounce you, Autumn Mikayla Rhodes, Official Luna of moon river pack" with that everyone stood up clapped and hooted
The man opened the box and gorgeous ring that had a silver band with a an amethyst rock in the middle surrounded by tiny diamonds. He handed the ring over to Mason and let Mason put it in for me. I couldn't stop cheesing, I was actually really excited and happy at this moment. He slipped the ring on my right index finger, the same one he'd pierce.
"Welcome to our pack baby," he said sliding his hands around my waist and pulling me in firmly. I giggled and wrapped my arms around him and just like that we kissed.
It took all my will power to not drag him out somewhere and just fuck him on sight. He pulled away and gave me in quick peck on the lips, "let the party begin!" He exclaimed
Everyone cheered even more and suddenly music started blasting from inside, a couple girls, the same omegas that usually serve us in the morning brought out platters that had glasses of champagne bringing on over to everyone.
"There's one more thing we must do," Mason said in my ear
"What?" I asked looking up at him confused
He smiled and then started chuckling, "what?" I asked again more curious and louder
"Whenever you're ready I'll be waiting in the study" The old man said to us
"Ready for what?" I asked looking from the old man to mason who had a big cheeky grin
"We'll be there soon" Mason said pulling me away from the man and off from the altar
"Mason what's going on?" I asked
"Let's get a couple drinks first mama, you'll need them" he said as if I didn't hear him
He stopped a girl, getting 2 glasses of champagne from her tray, "Mason ca-" he cut me off before I can finish
"You need to get a traditional tattoo of our pack seal, everyone has one it's to let others know where you come from, it's protection in a way" he said
"Traditional?!" I exclaimed
He chuckled and shrugged his shoulders, I knew it wasn't his rules but damn, "get me another drink please" I said before chugging down my first glass
