Tom Pov:
"Y-you were planning all this?.." I ask Tord.
"I don't understand what I was thinking.. Maybe I just finally snapped.." Tord says.
"And Hugo was the only 1 who got affected from your plans.. Right now I feel like Hugo is on the verge of being suicidal. I don't know what we should do.."
"Maybe put him somewhere safe?"
"That's a good idea.. And I think I know the perfect place..."
Edd Pov: *The Next Day*
Tom's jet arrives right on time.
Tom says Hugo isn't doing well and he thinks I can help with my 'Optimism'.
Apparently he's suicidal, but Tom wants me to find out why for myself.
I was always a good detective.
1 time someone stole my entire case of cola and in only a day I found out Edwardo stole it to torture me.
We then had a cat fight and I got my cola case back.
I also got a black eye too.
Hugo and Tom walk out of the jet.
I walk toward them and prepare myself to be jumped on by Hugo because he does that to people he loves to show he's excited to see them, but he doesn't even flinch when he sees me.
He looks so... different.
He must be really depressed.
"Heyyy Hugo! How my big boy?" I ask Hugo.
He doesn't say anything.
I laugh nervously then ask Tom, "Okay then, how are you Tom?"
"Not swell," Tom says.
"Wow aren't you 2 down in the dumps. How about you come in and have some cola with me," I say.
"I have time, let's do it," Tom says and shrugs.
Me and Tom take Hugo's hands and we walk into The Rebellion Base.
Hugo Pov:
I stare into my cup of milk as Uncle Edd and Daddy talk.
When will this all be over?..
It's amazing how just mentioning something you've been trying to forget can get you so upset so fast.
I've been trying to forget it like I did before, but that took weeks and I'm still not sure how I did it.
I wish it was still my birthday and everyone was just hanging out with me.
I get a glimpse of a familiar color from the corner of my eye.
I turn my head to see someone just pass the doorway of the lunchroom.
Dirty blond hair...
I drop my milk on to the floor and get up.
I run out of the lunch room and go to where I last saw the familiar hair heading.
"Hugo?!" I hear Daddy yell behind me.
I have no idea where everything is, but I know I have to find the person with that hair.
It's too unique to be just anyone's hair.
I run down the halls and quickly stop and look at each room.
I hear light footsteps..
Those are too unique too...
I follow the sound and then make it to a room where I heard the feet stop.
My eyes widen when I see the only person who can ever cheer me up in a time like this..
Zoey.
I run up to her and hug her without any warning.
She drops her watering can and turns her head away from the flowers and toward me.
Her eyes widen.
I start to cry on to her shoulder,
After a second she tightly hugs back.
I can feel her tears wet my shoulder as well.
After a minute we back away and smile at each other with tears still sliding down our cheeks.
"You're alive!" I sign to her.
"You're alive too!" Zoey signs back.
"Do you... Still love me?" I sign with a nervous smile.
"I always will Hugo! Do you still love me?" Zoey signs.
"Yes!" I sign.
We both giggle in our own ways.
We finally cool down.
She puts a hand on my cheek and leans her face on to mine.
She gently kisses me.
My face turns a bright red.
After a few seconds of shock I kiss back.
Tom Pov:
I run into the 1 room I haven't checked and I finally find Hugo, but.. With a girl?
I gasp when I see Hugo's face.
He's.. Smiling...
His face is completely different!
It's back to normal!
They're sitting on the couch and snuggling.
The room has many plants.
It gives off a calming aura.
I wonder who that girl is..
Could it be..
"I see you and Zoey have become friends!" Edd says to Hugo from behind me.
Hugo looks at us.
He gives us a glare and hold Zoey in a protective manner.
"What's up with him?" Edd asks me in a whisper.
"I have no clue. Maybe we should leave them alone," I say to Edd in a whisper.
"Agreed," Edd whispers.
Me and Edd walk out of the room.
Edd Pov: *1 Week Later*
Hugo have been giving anyone that comes near Zoey either a death glare or a loud step in front of them that represents a warning to get out of his territory.
Ever since he found Zoey he took Zoey to his old room without my permission.
Trust me I tried to tell him he can't.
But when I tried he bit my hand and now my hand has a bloody bandage wrapped around it.
We have a rule that males and females can't sleep together unless their a couple, so I try to get Hugo and Zoey apart, but end up either getting bitten or too scared to even try fighting against Hugo.
I don't really think he sleeps at night either, because I've tried many nights to see if I can sneak Zoey out of Hugo's room, but he's always awake and ready to pounce on me if I take even 1 step into the room.
I also see him sleep with his head on Zoey's lap a lot, so I'm guessing he sleeps that way.
Tom said Hugo should stay until he feels happy again.
He's happy.
Buuuut I'm too scared to take him away from Zoey.
And from what I've heard from Zoey is that she's terrified of Tord, so taking her to The Red Army Base would be a no no.
Our Rebellion Base has turned more into a orphanage and or rehab than a Rebellion Base.
It's mostly filled with children that their parents died or adults that have physical or mental disabilities from the attacks Tord does on their homes.
I hate Tord for those reasons, but also for how he treated Tom in the past.
Tom has been my best friend for longer than Matt or Tord.
I met Tom somewhere in 8th grade while I met Tord in 11th.
I met Matt in college though.
What college you ask?
I forgot so don't ask.
All I remember is something to do with designing a lot gay clothing.
Maybe that was like a side class or something because I'm not really a designer.
I'm more of a cartoonist.
Just letting you know if you forgot how many times that was said in the other chapters.
I'm kind of wondering how Tom's doing right now..
Tom Pov:
"Hugo's been doing what?..." Jackie asks me.
"I rather not say it again Jackie..." I say.
Me and Tord decided we should tell Jackie and Max.
They're old enough now, but I'm still regretting saying anything about it.
"I knew... I knew I heard sobbing coming from his room...." Max says.
"He only told us good things about his day.. Not the bad things.." Jackie says.
"We thought... He was okay.." Max says.
Jackie starts sobbing.
"We had no idea either," I say.
"I-It's.." Jackie says.
"It's what?" Max asks Jackie.
"IT'S ALL TORD'S FAULT!!" Jackie screams.
Tord's eyes widen and he looks shocked.
"Jackie calm down," Max says to Jackie.
Jackie stands up and slams his hands on the table.
"TORD DID THIS TO HIM!!" Jackie screams.
"I didn't mean t-to-"
"YOU DID YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!" Jackie screams at Tord.
"Jackie," I say.
"HE DID THIS TO HUGO!" Jackie continues screaming.
"THAT'S ENOUGH JACKIE!" I yell in a harsh voice.
Jackie look at me with a hurt face.
This is the first time I've ever yelled at Jackie.
I don't feel good about it either.
Jackie sits down and looks down at the table.
"Edd is looking after Hugo right now. When he comes back we're going to spend as much time with him as he wants. Is that clear to everyone?" I ask.
Everyone nods slowly.
"Good," I say. I look at Jackie. "Jackie you're grounded, go to your room."
Jackie looks at me with wide eyes. "B-but-"
"Jackie, I said go to your room," I sternly say and point to the door.
"Yes Dad.." Jackie says.
Jackie gets up and slowly walks out the door.
"Now if anyone has anything else to say about Tord you'll have the same fate as Jackie. Understand?" I ask everyone.
Paul, Pat, and Max nod.
I walk to the door and say with my back turned to everyone, "Good. You're all dismissed."
I walk out the door.
I'm not taking anymore shit.
Tord Pov:
Tord sounded like me when I'm angry.
Accept
Worse.
Even though nothing was directed at me I still feel like I've just got attacked by a fierce lion.
"He sounds scarier than you when your on your period," Max says to me.
Paul and Patrick snicker.
"I'm done," I say and get up.
"What do you mean done?" Max asks me and stands up.
"I'm just going to my room. I'm tired," I say.
I turn to walk away, but Max grabs my wrist and stops me.
"You can't keep pretending that you didn't do jack shit Tord," Max says.
"It wasn't m-"
"It was ONLY you. You have to take the blame even if you don't remember a single thing," Max says.
I pull my arm away from him.
"Good night," I say and walk out the door.
