Summer is almost over, and we still haven't found any werewolves; we're now in Tennessee, and Klaus got us lost "do you even know where we are, Klaus?" He sighs
"yes, little love." I sigh
"well, can we pull over so I can stretch my legs, please?" I say, looking at him; he looks over at me with a smile on his face
"of course, little love." I smile as he pulls over and get out of the car and sigh when I can finally stretch my legs, and as I'm about to get back in the car, my phone starts ringing; I look at the screen and realize that my best friend Isabella is calling me "hello?" "Alex, there's an emergency." "What's going on?" I ask frantically. "I found your dad... but he killed Xavier and wants me to bring him to you; he wants to reunite with you, but he killed Xav, and I don't know what to do; he's the love of my life." I sigh as she rants
"do you have Xavier's body?" "Yes..."
"Bring him with you to Tennessee, and I'll bring him back to life."
"That's not possible. You're mortal."
I chuckle. "I recently found out that I'm immortal," she laughs
"ok. I'll bring your father and Xavier's body." I smile into the phone and sign,h "hurry because after 24 hours, and I can't do anything with his body already rotting."
"Ok. We're in the car and ready to go now, Alex." I hang up, looking down at the ground sadly.
I sit on the hood of the car as tears fall from my eyes, and I put my face in my hands,
I sigh before looking up to see Klaus looking down at me.
"What's going on, little love?"
Klaus says, worried, and I sigh.
"my father killed my best friend."
Klaus looks at me and hugs me kissing my forehead
"it's ok. Little love," I sigh, looking at him.
"I'm bringing him back to life... I-I can't lose him." He nods his head
"I understand" I frown as he quickly gets in the driver's seat and I get into the passenger's seat confused.
2 hours later, we arrive at a house in Tennessee, and it's about 10:00 PM. I look at Klaus as Stefan makes his way to the back door where he's supposed to be
"Are you mad at me?" He frowns at me
"No... it's just is Xavier more than a friend to you?" I chuckle
"Why? Are you jealous?" He growls, "Alexandria, just answer the question." I sigh
"no, we've been friends since I moved from Mystic Falls. He saved me from a man who tried to rape me, and he's dating my best friend Isabella; they've been together for about 10 years now."
he nods "well, good because no one else is allowed to have you, little love."
"And why is that?"
"Because you're mine" I frown at him
"you know, you don't have to pretend to like me. I've had enough charity to last a lifetime."
He looks down at me with a smile.
"who says I'm pretending? love the way I feel about you is a hundred percent real."
I frown
"and how do you feel about me?" He sighs
"how about when I make my hybrids? I'll tell you" I sigh but smile at him.
"So we need to know where Ray Sutton is, right?" He nods
"correct."
I hear a dog barking, and then I see a girl with blonde hair come out of the house in the very short shorts, RUDY." She whistles while walking down the steps, "RUDY!" She yells, and I frown; I mean, who lets their dog run out of the house. "Come on. It's too hot to make me come looking for you." She says, picking up his leash, and Klaus and I appear behind her as she turns around gasping, "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." Klaus says, perfecting an American accent, and I smirk, "but I did." She frowns at me "kidding, darling, lighten up." "Can I help you two?" She says rudely, and I glare at her but cover it with a smile. "Yeah, I and my boyfriend's car ran out of gas a couple of miles back. We feel like we've been walking forever. Yours is the first house we've seen in a while." Klaus smirks at me, "so we were just hoping we could use your phone." She frowns "don't one if you have a cell phone?" I frown at her "my battery died, and my lovely boyfriend forgot his in the motel." She frowns "look, we promise we're not serial killer's. We just want to use your phone." She sighs "sure." Klaus then says, "so... I can come in?" She looks at him. "No. I'll get the phone, and I'll bring it out to you." I laugh "you should've just said yes." Klaus kisses my lips before quickly dropping his accent while glaring at her. "I thought you country folk were supposed to be more trusting." She frowns slightly. "I'm from Florida." Klaus frowns at her "well, that explains it." He speeds up to her choking her slightly "why do you show me a little southern hospitality... sweet pea," he says, compelling her, and I frown at the pet name he called her.
I walk in the house first without a problem with Klaus and the girl following, and I see a brown-skinned woman in the kitchen cleaning. "I bet you a hundred dollars that dog ran off to a house with air conditioning." I frown "that's abuse, you know?" She turns towards us swiftly and says, "what's going on?" Klaus has his arm on the girl's shoulder "please don't be alarmed. I'm told Ray Sutton lives here." She has her arms by her sides "he's rarely here. He's on the road mostly." She says fearfully, and I frown and say, "but I expect he makes it home... once a month" as Klaus stands next to me, the brown-skinned woman looks at us scared, "that's what I thought. Where is he now? If I have to make you tell me, it's going to be infinitely more painful for you." Klaus says, looking down at the blonde-haired girl and then back to the woman who now takes off running to the back door only to see Stefan there looking like a bloodthirsty animal. We follow her "I love it when they run." Klaus says, smirking, "he's in Tulley. It's near the border. A bar called southern comfort. It's off of Highway 41." She says, crying, and I smirk at her "thank you, darling," I say, pinching her cheek slightly, and Klaus looks to the blonde girl "now... may my friend come in your home?" He asks the girl who's shaking her head no, "yes." Stefan steps in, and Klaus takes my hand and pulls me to him, and says, "kill this one quickly. Make that one suffer." Klaus says as he guides me outside, and as we leave, we hear their screams, and I look to Klaus, seeing him smirk, and I laugh, "you enjoy this, don't you?" He nods as we get into the car "very much so, love" I put a finger up, saying hold on to him
I call Isabella "hello?" She says, "I have where I want you to meet us" "us?" I sigh "it's a long story, Izzy." She laughs "ok. Where is it?" "In Tulley, near the border, at a bar called southern comfort, and it's off of Highway 41," she sighs, "it's weird because we're already there." I laugh "what a coincidence, stay there; we'll be there in 20 minutes" "ok, love you." "Love you too." And I hang up
Klaus looks at me "who was that." "Isabella, Xavier's girlfriend." He nods "wow, they're still just dating." I nod, chuckling. "I know, weird, right?" He nods as Stefan comes into the car looking so broody, and I groan "are you going to be broody the whole time?" He frowns at me "yes, in fact, I will because my girlfriend is dead and I'm stuck with two people who won't admit they like each other" I laugh "actually, we already have. But, see, that's none of your concern" he frowns at me before looking out of the window.
As we walk into the southern comfort, Stefan compels everyone, and I look to Ray and work my magic "hey, red. Can I get a beer?" I sit next to him. "I'll have what he's having ." Ray looks at me and examines my outfit
"Are you Ray? Ray Sutton?" I ask, getting a little closer to him, knowing that this is killing Klaus right now "who wants to know?" He says, backing away a little, and I smirk as Klaus now stands next to me "beautiful girl, isn't she?" Ray looks at Klaus, a little frightened "we've been looking everywhere for you. We started in Florida, Pensacola. We met a young chap there who you worked with before you moved to Memphis. Now he directed us to two lovely young women. And they led us here." He frowns. "I think I'll be going." I frown before looking around and looking to see Isabella sitting there. I look to Stefan, "take the compulsion off of that table." He nods and does I,t and Isabella and my father walk over. I look to my dad. I smile "well, I guess you're my father." He smiles hugging me "god I've been searching for you for 10 years." I nod and say "why'd you give me to the family that you did? They treated me like shit, and they abused me." He sighed. "I didn't give you to anyone. I asked Miranda and Grayson to babysit you when we were all in New York. I came back to the hotel, and they were gone, they kidnapped you, and I've searched everywhere for you they erased every trace that they could. They stole my child." I smile at my father "well, I'm glad you're here now." I say, hugging my father "but, you killed my best friend." He chuckles nervously at my glare "you have your mother's fire, I love it." I sigh " I'm bringing him back to life." He sighs "ok, darling," I squeal, " I just need something of his and his body" my father goes to get his body from the car. Izzy looks at me "my blood, in the closest to him" I nod as my dad brings his body and we go into a dark room. I light the candles and take out my grimoire, flipping through the pages to find the revival spell, and I find it, and I mumble the spell as I spill Isabella's blood on his body and chant the spell loudly, and I gasp as I finish it and I don't see him awake "Xav?" I whisper, "Xavier... no... please say it worked" tears flow out of my eyes. "Xavier, please, you can't leave me here. I need you."
I stand up while standing over his body, and I close my eyes, crying harder.
"I can't live without you, Xav; you saved me from myself. I just can't go on without my best friend." I sob loudly, and when I finish crying, I walk back out to where Klaus and Stefan are, and I sit in the corner, and Klaus sees me crying and walks to m,e "What's going on?" I sob. "I-I d-didn't work. My best friend is dead because I didn't go looking for my dad myself."
Klaus bends down to my level "little love, I know you're hurting right now, and I want you to know that I'll be here for you every step of the way. If you need to cry, use my shoulder. It's open only for you, though" I smile at him through my tears, and I hug him tightly, and I don't let go for a while "thank you." I whisper to him while looking at him before kissing him; he picks me up by the waist and slams me into the nearest wall, and kisses me back hungrily
"God, little love, I thought you weren't ready to be together," I sigh. "I'm not, but I want you to know that's what you have to look forward to just in case you flirt with another girl in front of me again." He smirks "let me know when you're ready to be with me. I'd wait another decade for you." I smile at him and watch as Stefan tortures Ray while sitting next to Klaus; all of a sudden, a woman walks up to him, and I frown "hello, Mr.Klaus, I have some information for you. I saw that guy's brother Damon at the farmhouse." Klaus smirks "well, thank you, Claudine. You just tell your friends to keep up the good work with the neighborhood watch, huh?" Klaus says as Stefan walks up to him, "my brother's still on our trail?" "He's getting closer. I'm going to have to deal with that." Stefan stops him "no, no, no let me handle it" I frown at him; he's definitely hiding something. Klaus turns to him and frowns slightly "why should I let you leave?" 'Cause, you'll know I'll come back." Klaus smirks "do I?" "You saved my brother's life. I'm in your service." I groan "that almost sounds so tedious and indentured. Aren't you even having the least bit of fun? Heh." Ray looks at us in pain, and I smirk slightly. "I'll make sure that my brother doesn't bother us anymore," Stefan says, leaving a smirking Klaus.
I go back into the room to see Isabella crying over Xavier's body still, and it clicks. I revived his body but not him.
"I know what I did wrong." Isabella looks up quickly with a tear rolling down her left eye
"What?" I sigh. "I revived his body instead of his soul; I know what to do now." She squeals, and I do everything over. I take her blood and put in the herbs while chanting the right spell, this time with the fire from the candles flaring up, and when I was done,e I hear a gasp, and I smile at him.m "Xav?" "Alex." He sighs, hugging me "god, thank you so much. You saved me." I smile "well, you saved me plenty of times, so I just returned the favor" "; why do I feel stronger?" I sigh "my magic clings to your body, so now you're a part witch." He sighs, "so I'm a hybrid like you." I nod, and he hugs me again before looking over to Isabella, and she clings to him, sighing as he kisses the top of her head.
"I thought I lost you." She says to Xavier, and he chuckles, "I would never leave you here." She sighs before grabbing the back of his neck and bringing his lips to hers
"Don't ever scare me like that ever again." I smile at them and walk out to see my father smiling at me. "You did it." I nod "you didn't have to kill him, you know." He nods. "I have anger issues." I nod "me too. It just doesn't come out as often; I hope you know I'll be joining this trip with you and Klaus. I know you're in love with him, and he likes you; I have to see his intentions myself." I frown slightly and say, "ok. Whatever." Walking to Klaus, who now has Ray on the pool table, "ok. It's a three-step process, right?" I smile at Klaus, and he smiles back in admiration " are you ok, little love?" I smile at him. "Xavier is back." Klaus smiles slightly "where is he?" I sigh. "He and Isabella had to go home" he nods and looks back to Ray " this is step one. I want you to drink from my wrist." Ray tries to hold on to his life " I already told you where to find the pack. What more do you want from me?" I sigh, and Klaus frowns at him "have you been listening to a word I've been saying, Ray? I have great plans for you." Klaus says, pointing a knife in his face before slicking his wrist as blood oozes out of it, and he forces it into Ray's mouth. "He'll thank me for it later. There we go, that a boy." Klaus says as he forces the blood down his throat with ray struggling and choking.
He finally stops shoving his wrist in his mouth and smirks over at me, and the smirk drops as he sees my father standing next to me with a frown on his face before picking up his glass and walking right next to me.
My dad hugs me kissing the top of my head "hey, dad. Are you ok?" He nods and looks at Ray "what's going on here?" "Klaus needs werewolves to make his hybrids, and he was getting answers. My dad smirks "smart, or you could've just went into his mind to save all of this trouble" I chuckle. "I didn't think of that." Klaus at us. "I can see the resemblance," I laugh. "I sure hope so."
Before walking next to him and kissing his cheek and looking down at Ray sadly before looking away." what are you going to do now?" Klaus smirks "it's time for step two, Ray." He says, snapping his neck, "that's gotta hurt." Klaus turns around, and I look to see Stefan standing there "you're back." Klaus chuckles "did you doubt me?" "Yes," I say at the same time as Klaus says, "not for a second. I knew you'd pass the test. You still care for your brother, for your old life." Stefan chuckles sarcastically. "I don't care about anything anymore," my dad chuckles before saying, "you put on a good show, Stefan. We almost believe you." Klaus smiles over at my dad "let's hope for your brother's sake; he does." He pauses before continuing, "you never stop caring about family, do you? But every time you feed, the blood makes it easier to let go." Stefan glares at Klaus and my dad "and who are you?" My dad chuckles, "that's not your business" Stefan tries to speed to my dad, but I step in front of him "futos," he drops to the ground choking on the blood that's coming up his throat "s-s-stop p-please." I stop only to snap his neck with a flick of my wrist, and I look at my dad to see him smirking "just like your mother, you don't let anyone mess with the people you care about." I smirk back at him "you're the only family I have left; I'd like to keep you alive." He smiles, kissing my forehead "where is Mom buried?" He looks at me confused "why? Want to bring her back to life?" I look at him, raising my eyebrows "she died protecting you, and you want to bring her back?" I nod my head "that's exactly what I plan to do, but first, where is she buried?" My dad sighs "she's buried in Chicago." I chuckle "that's one of our pit stops then."
"Our family will be whole again." My dad nods his head. "I'm proud of you." I smile at him "when the time comes, and I'm letting you know now..." I look to Klaus. "I'm going to be with Klaus."
