It was the last week of Ananya and Deepika's internship under the legal advisor of the company
They were done with their final exams, and were graduating next month after which, Ananya will be going to Mumbai to live with her Maasi, and work under a reputed lawyer of the city, where as Deepika was moving to Hyderabad for further studies...
Deepika and Ved were not in talking terms after the incident, also Ved had distanced himself from everyone and was always busy with work..
However, All was not well with Ananya, after Aayan's departure, there were noticeable changes in her, she was not bubbly, fun loving girl anymore, she would spend most of the time in her room reading books, won't interact much, practically stopped arguing with Ved and Vansh, Won't go partying with Deepika, they didn't even hangout much...
Arjun was worried seeing the changes in her, he and Naina were not able to understand, what was wrong with her...
Both Deepika and Ananya were completing the assignment given to them by Mr. Singh in his cabin
'Aren't you tired...?' Deepika asked stretching her hands
'Hmm... ' Ananya replied, not looking up from the screen
'You want coffee...?' Deepika asked getting up
'That would be awesome Deeps, Thank you... ' Ananya said and Deepika looks at her bewildered
'You've changed Ananya... ' She said
'Is the change good...?' Ananya asked
'I don't know... ' Deepika replied
'Get used to it then, it's high time, that we start behaving like grown ups... ' Ananya said not looking at her
Deepika sighed and muttered 'I miss my old Ananya... ' and left the room
Ananya pretended not to hear that and sighing continued her work
Deepika walked towards the canteen, smiling at her colleagues, she was friends with a lot of E market employees, her outgoing and cool attitude, made her everyone's favorite
While moving towards the elevator, she slowed down in front of Ved's cabin, She missed talking to him, his smiles, after Aayan left, Ved became a workaholic and even being in the same office, she hardly got to see him
She was losing hopes of getting closer to Ved, also Shanaya's words had a negative impact on her, she actually began to think that she and Ved had no match..
Deepika didn't realise that she halted in front of his cabin, wondering whether he was inside or not...
Her question was answered, when the door opened and Ved came out, looking handsome as always
He wore a sky blue shirt paired with black trousers, his hair a bit messed up, and wearing rimless spectacles...
Deepika realised he looked more handsome in glasses, it made him look more serious and intimidating, which she liked...
Ved saw her staring at him, and clicked his fingers to break her trance
'Hi Deepika... ' he smiled, putting his hands under his pocket
Once again, Deepika was speechless in front him, she was seeing him after weeks...
'Hi... Hii Ved... ' she managed to say and then without waiting for his reply, she walked ahead
'Deepika wait... ' Ved called and Deepika's heart started beating twice it's rate, she slowly turned around and looked at him
'Are you going towards the canteen...?' he asked
'Yes...' Deepika answered
'Great, can you please get me a...' Ved began
'Black coffee, without sugar...?' Deepika completed his sentence
Ved looked at her shocked and then smiled
'Yes... How do you know...?' he asked
'I just know... ' Deepika smiled
'You need something else...?' she asked further
Before Ved could answer, a female voice behind her answered
'A green tea without sugar please... '
Deepika turned around and saw Shanaya walking towards them, with a smirk on her face...
She took a deep breath and controlled her urge to frown
'Hey Deepika... ' she smiled at her and walked towards Ved
'Your file is with Adi chachu, his cabin is upstairs... ' Deepika hears Ved saying
'Yeah... I know, I just came to say Hi... ' Shanaya said
Why this girl has to come in between every freaking time, whenever me and Ved are trying to have a conversation
Deepika thought (Glares at author)
Deepika decided to leave them alone walked ahead, when she heard Shanaya calling her, sighing she turned around...
'Yes, Shanaya...?' Deepika asked, uninterested..
'How is your hand...?' she asked
'It's fine now, thank you for asking... ' Deepika said
'I didn't know you worked here... ' Shanaya said and Ved looked annoyed
'Now you know right ? Can I go...?' Deepika said a bit irritated
Shanaya frowned at this and Ved looked at her amused
'And you can get your Green tea by yourself, I don't work for you here...' Deepika said and Shanaya glared at her
Ved tried to control his smile...
Shanaya huffs and then her frown changes into a smirk after remembering something...
'Ok ok... I won't bother you, after you answer my last question...?' She said
Deepika glanced at her watch and then crossed her hands over her chest, gesturing her to go ahead
'When are you guys going to make it official...?' Shanaya asked
Ved and Deepika looked at her confused...
'Official what...?' Ved asked
'I don't understand... ' Deepika said
'You and Vansh, of course... You guys are dating, right...?' Shanaya asked giving a challenging look to Deepika
'What...!' Ved exclaimed shocked and so was Deepika
'You didn't know...? Naina aunty knows about them... ' Shanaya said to Ved
'This can't be true....' Ved gritted
'It is true Ved, Deepika is going to be your sister in law soon... Naina aunty really likes her... Right Deepika...?' Shanaya asks her
Deepika glares at Shanaya, she was shocked that how can someone lie so perfectly...
She is trying to malign her and Vansh's bond in front of Ved
'Shanaya, don't fall so low, there's nothing between.... ' Deepika began but stopped seeing Ved's angry face
'I told Vansh, I told him.... not to do this... How can he be so stupid...!' Ved said angrily, running his hand over his hair
Deepika was scared seeing his sudden change of mood...
What does he mean by this...? Dating me is stupid...?
Ved glares at Deepika and walked inside his cabin angrily
Shanaya smirked at Deepika and walked towards the elevator, saying 'Good luck' to her...
Afterall, Shanaya was aware that, although Ved never gets angry, but if he does, no one can calm him down, Deepika was unaware of this, because she never saw him angry...
Shanaya knew that Ved had started to develop feelings for Deepika, she tried her best to distract him from thinking about Deepika, but failed... So as the weapon of last resort, she used his anger, by linking Vansh and Deepika, because she knows that Ved becomes extremely possessive for something he likes, and loses his calm when something happens to it....
She just triggered the beast inside Ved, whose wrath Deepika was going to face now...
Deepika walks inside Ved's cabin, and saw him walking to and fro across the room in anger
'Ved, listen to me...' Deepika began but stopped seeing him glaring at her
'Go away Deepika, I am not in my best moods right now... So please... ' Ved gritted angrily
'Ved... There is nothing between me and Vansh, Shanaya was lying.... ' Deepika tried to explain
'I don't want to talk about it Deepika....' Ved gritted
'Ved, you seem to be annoyed by her lie, please let me explain... ' She walked towards him
'Really...? OK ! Let's consider that Shanaya is lying... What about the things I saw with my own eyes... ' Ved said walking threateningly close to her, and she stepped back scared
Ved's possessiveness was overpowering his rational mind, unfortunately Aayan or Arjun were not here to calm him down..
'They were.... ' Deepika began but could not say further, how can she say him that it was a trick to make him jealous...
Things were already going out of her control right now...
'Yes...? They were...?' Ved glared at her and Deepika looked down, tears rolling down her eyes..
Ved chuckles darkly at this
'You are a very very cunning girl Deepika, trying to trap both of us in your charm... Hoping that atleast one of us will fall for you...? Well played...' Ved clapped dramatically
Deepika looked at him shocked, words ceased to leave her mouth...
She could not believe that Ved thought so low about her...
'Now don't act innocent alright, now I understand your care and attention towards me in the start, you tried your tricks on me as well, but thank god I didn't fell for them... But let me tell you Deepika, you are a great actress... For a moment, even I believed that you actually care for me.. You deserve an award for this... ' he said glaring at her
'Ved... You don't know what you are saying...' Deepika cried
'These tears won't work on me alright, I am not as naive as Vansh, to fall for your tricks, that's why you shifted your attention from me to my younger brother, because I was hard to get... ' Ved smirked, caging her between his arms and the wall
Deepika looked at him scared
What has gotten into him...
Why is he thinking this way...
'Ved leave me... ' Deepika cried
He pushed himself more near to her...
'You liked me too right...? Then why is my closeness bothering you... ' He taunts her, and Deepika tries to push him away...
'Ved are you out of your mind, there is nothing between me and... ' Deepika said but gasped when Ved slid his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him
'Trying to trap rich boys, to get a luxurious life, by acting innocent... Very smart Deepika...' He said glaring into her eyes
'Ved... ' Deepika said scared
'I won't let you trap my innocent brother into your tricks... I won't let you succeed... Girls like you don't deserve to become the Daughter in law of Thapars...' He said pushing her away and Deepika balances herself with help of the chair
'Go away, before I do something that I will regret later... ' Ved growled
Deepika wiped her tears and turned around to leave
'If you have some basic sense, then stay away from my brother and sister, or else I will destroy you... ' Ved warned her
Deepika turned and looked at Ved
'You will regret saying all this one day Ved Thapar... And I promise you that, you will come to me begging for my forgiveness and you won't get it... This is the last grave mistake you are committing in your life... Don't worry, you are seeing me for the last time...' she said and walked out of his cabin
Ved glared at her retreating figure and pushed everything on his table, in rage on the floor and smashed his phone which started ringing
Thapar's residence
Ved angrily enters the house and Naina looks at his expression and gets confused
'Ved beta, what happened...?' Naina stops him
Ved was about to reply, when they hear Ananya's angry voice, and turn to see her angrily walking towards Ved
'Bhai...! How could you do this to Deeps....' She yells at him
Arjun and Adi who were watching the news, now had their attention on them
'What's going on...?' Arjun asked turning off the television
'Are you out of your fucking mind... Why would you do that..?' Vansh enters the house and angrily scolds Ved
'Don't talk to me like that... ' Ved warned them
'Bhai, you have lost your sane mind, how could you think that Deeps would so that.. ' Ananya countered
'Because she was manipulating both of you... ' Ved said angrily
'Kids... Calm down... All three of you...' Naina tried to calm them down
'Maa.. Ved bhai misbehaved with Deeps in the office today... ' Ananya said angrily
'Do you have any idea, how hurt that girl is right now... ' Vansh glared at Ved
'Ved.. What is this...?' Arjun asked
'Papa, Deepika is not a good girl, she was a gold digging bi... ' Before Ved could complete, Vansh punched him and Ved falls on the floor, others gasped at this
'Mind your freaking tongue, it's Annie's best friend we are talking about... ' Vansh gritted
'How dare you Bhai, because of you, I lost my best friend today.... ' Ananya cried
'You guys will thank me for what I did... ' Ved said getting up
'You will regret your action one day, remember this... ' Vansh said
'Enough...! All three of you... Is this the way you behave with your siblings... ' Arjun scolds them
'Papa, your son has lost his sense of right or wrong... ' Vansh glared at him
'He has a better understanding of what is right or wrong, than you...' Arjun scolds Vansh
'Arjun... ' Naina warned him
'Why do you have to bring my career choice, in between every damn argument...!' Vansh said frustrated
'Because you are not clear, about what you want to do in your life...! Atleast Ved has that sense... ' Arjun began
'But this is not related to career, oh god...! I am sick and tired of all this...' Vansh cried angrily
'Paa, Vansh bhai is right, Ved bhai may have a practical approach in everything, but he lacks basic sense when angry...' Ananya came in between
'You stay out of this Ananya...' Arjun warned her
'And you, what are you sick and tired of huh...? What have you done by yourself till now...? Do you have something of your own...? You will be 26 next month, atleast Ved has a stable life... What about you...?' Arjun scolds Vansh
'Bhai... This is not the right time to say all these things... They are arguing on something else... ' Adi pulls Arjun away from Vansh
Vansh finally loses his temper today, he was always being patient with Arjun whenever he scolded him for his career choice, but today he lost his cool
Ved seemed to sense that...
'Vansh, come with me... We will discuss this outside... ' Ved drags him outside
Vansh pushes Ved away, and turns towards Arjun
'Yeah, I may not be practical like Ved in career choices, but you know what Papa,Ved is just like you in commiting mistakes in terms of hurting the close ones... ' Vansh countered angrily
'What do you mean..?' Arjun said
'You just got lucky that Maa forgive you, for cheating, but ideally she shouldn't have... ' Vansh said and Naina gasped
'Vansh, shut up... ' Ved warned
'Stop acting like you don't know anything, we both know very well why their marriage was delayed for so many years...' Vansh sneered and Arjun took a step back
'Like you are not so perfect that you seem to be Paa, your elder son is the same...' Vansh said angrily
*SLAP*
Everyone gasped as Naina slapped Vansh, it was the first time she had slapped any of her children
'How dare you talk to your father like this... ' Naina scolds him
'Maa... ' Vansh eyes filled with tears
'Go to your room... ' Naina ordered him, but even Vansh was not going to listen...
'I am not going anywhere, I am out of here... ' Vansh said angrily and Arjun looked at him scared
'Vansh Bhai... ' Ananya cried
'Son, you need to calm down... ' Adi said
'Please Chachu, I was unwanted anyways... I'll leave... ' Vansh said wiping his tears
'Vansh please, don't go... ' Arjun pleaded
Vansh did not say anything, just left the house
Yes... Things were going to change in Arjun and Naina's paradise...
Their children were choosing their own destinies, and they could not do anything but watch...
