"Really? You want be a father. You want have kids?" Madhu
"Yes" RK
"Thank you. I love you so much" Madhu
"I love you too" RK kissed her forehead then they stayed few minutes in silence until Madhu asked him
"What took you so long?" Madhu
"What do you mean?" RK was confused
"You said that you was late because of them just hour and half. Why it took you almost a day to return?" Madhu
"Hello madam I came back driving not flying" RK
"Yes I know. The road takes 6 hours driving. You are late 14 hours. Where were you?" Madhu
"I got lost" RK was embarrassed
"What? How" Madhu
"When I reached the airport and asked for the next flight they told me that the weather was bad and the last flight was my plane. Any other flight was canceled. I asked for any other way to return here in time. Someone suggested me to rent a car and drive back home. That was what I did?" RK
"Why didn't you tell me that you missed the plane?" Madhu
"It was 3am I didn't want to wake you up. So I decided that I would call you on the road in the morning. When I got sure that you were awake" RK
"OK. How did you lose? How did you come back?" Madhu
"This is really a long story. I should keep it another time. Today was hard for you and me. We need to rest." RK
"OK we will sleep now but you have to tell me everything later" Madhu
"Are you hungry?" RK
"Yes but I want to sleep more. We can sleep and eat tomorrow" Madhu
"No way. I will make you dinner" RK
"You don't have to" Madhu
"Yes I have. From now on, you will rest completely on bed. Do you understand me?" RK said firmly
"Yes sir" Madhu and RK laughed
Next day
RK and Madhu were in the hospital checking on Madhu's pregnancy with Dr. Neha
"Well Madhu. Everything is looking normal. Your blood tests are good. The only problem we have is your high bp" Neha
"But she never had this problem before" RK
"Sometimes it comes with the pregnancy and goes after that. And her overweight is making it worse" Neha
"I gained this weight because of the medications. Which I took to become pregnant. Now you are telling me that my weight is danger for my pregnancy?" Madhu
"Sure Madhu. You know overweight could cause a lot of health problems" Neha
"So I took medication to become pregnant. It caused me overweight which is danger to my pregnancy" Madhu was angry
"I explained to you the side effects for the drugs and you accepted the risk" Neha
"Yes which is clear now was a bad decision" Madhu
"Will you calm down? We are not here to discuss your decision bad or good. We are here to seek a solution for our problem" RK
"Ok. What can we do to save this pregnancy? I can't lose another baby. I just can't" Madhu started to cry
"Hay relax my love. You know getting stressed isn't good for you" RK side hugged his wife
"I'll prescribe you medicine for your bp. You need to rest and stay away from any stress. We have to monitor it. You must check it every day at least" Neha
"We will do anything you want us to do. But we can't lose this" RK

After a month
"Madhu, Rishabh come lunch is ready." Padmini
"Ok mom we are coming." RK
"Come Madhu let's check your bp." RK
RK checked his wife bp as he is doing for month now every day.
"It is almost normal. Here take your bills." RK
"Thank you my love." Madhu
"What is wrong?" RK
"What do you mean?" Madhu
"You look disturbed." RK
"Nothing." Madhu
"Don't worry everything will be Ok." RK
"I hope so. I really do." Madhu was crying silently
"Madhu. What did we tell you? You can't be stressed. It is not good for your baby my love. Please don't think about it. Everything will be Ok." RK
"If I lose this pregnancy, I will die." Madhu
"Don't say that. You won't lose it. Everything will be Ok. Don't ever talk about death again. Do you understand me?" RK was angry

After a month
RK and Madhu were in hospital doing Ultrasound test for Madhu
"Everything is good Madhu. The baby is fine." Neha
"Thank you doctor." Madhu
"Now you passed your first three months. You are free to move as you like now." Neha
"So I can work now." Madhu
"Don't rush things Madhu." RK
"I don't recommend you to work now. You can move in your house. But work can stress you now. And we don't want that for your bp." Neha
"Ok doctor. Whatever you say we will do." Madhu
"Good Madhu. We need you to be careful as much as you can to get you and the baby for safety." Neha
"We will doctor don't worry." RK
"Thank you doctor." Madhu
"I will see you after two weeks ok?" Neha
"Ok doctor." RK
At Kundra house
"Dr. Neha said everything is ok now. I passed the danger phase. I can move now and do whatever I want to." Madhu
"Good Madhu. So you now are ok and the baby too." Padmini
"Yes mom everything is ok now." RK
"So I can return home now." Padmini
"Stay with us little longer. We are happy having you and the kids with us here." RK
"I missed my home dear." Padmini
"Please mom. Stay for me." Madhu
"I really want to go back home. But if you need me anytime I will come again." Padmini

"Let her go Madhu. We want her to be comfortable. If we need her she will come back." RK

RK took his mother in-law and her kids to their house. Then he went to his work
At hospital
RK was in his office. Dr. Neha knocked on his door
"Come in." RK
"Good morning Dr. RK." Neha
"Good morning Dr. Neha." RK
"I wanted to talk with you about Madhu." Neha
"What's about her? You said yesterday that everything is fine." RK was worry
"Yes I said that. Because I didn't want Madhu knows about it." Neha
"What is it?" RK
"The baby is smaller than normal." Neha
"What is that mean?" RK
"First I thought it just will be a small baby. But yesterday...." Neha
"What happened yesterday?" RK
"His heartbeat is so weak." Neha
"Do you mean it is not going to make it?" RK
"There is a big chance that it won't survive till the end." Neha
"If it does." RK
"If this pregnancy reach to its finish line. The baby will have a weak heart." Neha
"OMG if Madhu knows this, it will kill her." RK put his head between his hands
"That's why I didn't tell her anything yesterday. Please doctor don't tell her anything. It is not good for her health." Neha
"What can I tell her? I can't say anything to her." RK
"I wanted to tell you to be prepared for anything could happen." Neha
"Thank you doctor." RK said with cracked voice
Dr. Neha left him alone in his office. RK stayed in his office alone for hours. He couldn't work or do anything. He couldn't leave to his house either. He didn't want his wife to feel anything. He just stayed there crying for hours.
At Kundra house
RK was having dinner with his wife
"You are late today." Madhu
"I had long surgery." RK
"Is everything ok?" Madhu
"Yes my love everything is ok." RK
"I don't know. I feel you sad. What is it?" Madhu
"Nothing dear. I'm ok. Everything is ok." RK
"Are you sure? Because you didn't smile for once today." Madhu
"Just some work stress nothing more." RK
"Any problem?" Madhu
"No just a lot of work." RK
"OMG the workaholic, the great surgeon, Dr. RK complaining from workload. This is a breaking news." Madhu said excitedly
"I'm a human not a work machine. I need some rest like anyone else. I need to spend more time with my beautiful wife." RK got closer from her and looked at her with mischief eyes
"So all that just to spend more time with me." Madhu
"Yes of course." RK
"Ok come let's have some time with your wife." Madhu took his hand and led him to their room
They both laid down on the bed. In few minutes, Madhu was sleeping peacefully. In the other hand, RK couldn't sleep all night.
Next day
Madhu woke up. She found her husband was still sleeping.
"RK wake up." Madhu
"Please give me one hour" RK
"You will be late" Madhu
"I won't go to hospital today" RK
"Why? Are you ok?" Madhu was concerned
RK sat up on the bed
"Yes I'm ok. But I took this week off. I called them and told them that I will be away for a week" RK
"You took a week off. Are you sure you are ok?" Madhu was amazed
"Yes Madhu. I never take vacation. I needed one" RK
"But it is not you" Madhu
"You don't want me to stay here with you for a week" RK
"Yes I want you always by my side. I just worry that you are hiding thing from me" Madhu
"Actually there is something I didn't want you to know" RK looked down
"What is it?" Madhu was worry
"There is a new nurse. She started working yesterday" RK
"What about her?" Madhu asked with jealousy
"She is so hot. She has sexy body and beautiful face" RK was teasing her
"Since when you care for nurses' look" Madhu was angry
"Right I never noticed it before. But this nurse is something different. I got scared from working around her. I can't focus because of her" RK
"What? What is her name? You will fire her" Madhu was furious
"You know I can't fire her just because she is sexy" RK was concealing a laugh
"I don't care. You will fire her now. Call the hospital and tell them to fire her now" Madhu
"Calm down dear. Don't forget your blood pressure" RK
"To hell my bp" Madhu snapped at him

"There is no new nurses. There is nothing. I was just teasing you" RK
"Jerk" Madhu slapped his arm hard
"I love seeing you jealous over me." RK was laughing
"You made my blood boil and you are laughing here" Madhu was angry from him
"I'm sorry. I just can't help it. The look on your face was priceless" RK
"Go to your hospital to meet you sexy nurse. I don't want you here with me" Madhu stood up and was faking anger
"No I'm staying here with my sexy wife" RK got closer to her and hugged her
"Your wife isn't sexy anymore" Madhu
"No she is the sexiest and the most beautiful" RK leaned down and kissed her cheek
"Your sexy wife is angry from you." Madhu
"So I have to make it up for her. So she forgives me" RK kissed her
"She won't" Madhu
"We will see about that" RK carried her and put her on the bed gently
