Y/N's POV
"So how do I fix this mess Ahjumma?"
"Hold on a second kiddo!"
After all the fuss that happened earlier, I insisted for Jennie to take a rest first. She was not listening at first, so I decided to cuddle with her until she fell asleep in my arms.
And there she is, lying at the bed-sized couch here in the Underground HQ sleeping peacefully.
I went closer to her and covered her thoroughly with a blanket. This also gave me the opportunity to admire her even more.
From her eyelids to her little nose..
Everything was perfect. She was perfect.. And she doesn't deserve anything that is happening right now.
"Here kid.." Ahjumma softly said from my laptop
I looked at Jennie first and whispered..
"I'll fix all of this Jenjen.. I promise.."
I then kissed her forehead and stood up heading to where Ahjumma was talking.
"Spill it.. But keep it low, I don't want Jennie to wake up.." I now gave Ahjumma the signal to speak
"No problemo.. So apparently, what happened was.. Uhmm okay.."
"What's the problem Ahjumma?"
"Nothing.. It's just uhh.."
"What is it?" I said sternly making sure Ahjumma will tell me now
"Okay.. Kid uhmm.. I'm not the one who took out the audio clip.. I just said that because if I say what truly happened, Jennie might get shocked from all of this.."
"Then who did it? Tell me who it is and I'm gonna fucking blow their heads off!" I said strongly but not in a loud tone afraid waking up Jennie..
"It was the client.."
"But.. How come? Did you already submit the audio before all of this?"
"No kid, you know we don't give out the output unless you already filed your mission of accomplishment.. But you didn't file it yet right?"
"No I did not! So what happened?"
"Apparently.. Uhmm.. the client hired another operative and yesterday.. Uhh.. they got my computer hacked.. I'm sorry kid this is all my fault"
"What? How come?"
"They were good Y/N really good.. I thought it was you who sent me that attachment asking for the audio clip.. I gave it but apparently I was phished. I'm sorry.."
I sighed deeply after knowing what really happened. It was not Ahjumma at all.. She really do not go out doing things that will hurt me.
"It's alright Ahjumma I understand.. What I just need now is the original copy.. The complete one, the uncut ver-"
"I lost it too"
"What?"
"I told you they hacked my pc and deleted all the information about this mission.. Including the original file of the audio clip.."
*sigh* "Then what do I do now? How do I get the original one? That's the first step to fix this mess so I need to get that.."
"I tried getting into their system but it's highly secur- Hey what's so funny?"
*giggles* "Nothing.. It's just uhh hahaha I already found your limitations Ahjumma.."
"Yeah.. I thought so too.. it's a shame that I wasn't able to keep up with the younger generation.."
"That's alright.. So what do I do now?"
"Get the file directly from their computer"
"Where is it located?"
"At least I got this info.. So the company she hired is located in uhmm.. there! It's located in Melbourne, Australia.."
"That's kinda far.. But get me a flight to Australia asap.."
"I already did that and the earliest I could get is uhmm the next day after tomorrow.. Will that be alright?"
"Yeah sure.. I also have to prepare first.."
"Okay kid.. I gotta go now, I still have to finalize the details you need and please don't forget to remind Jennie to act like she doesn't know anything.. You don't want President Kim to know you broke the code.."
"Okay, I'll brief her when she wakes up.."
"Okay kid.. I should go now. You take care! Don't worry I'll update you from time to time.."
"Yes Ahjumma thank you.."
And Ahjumma disappeared from the screen. I leaned on to my chair holding my temples getting stressed out for this next mission I'm doing..
"I hope I'll be able to fix this mess as fast as I could.." I whispered to myself
Right then, I heard something moving. I turned to look at Jennie and saw her sitting up from the couch. She looked at me pouting which is really cute!
"Oh my god Jen stop giving me that look!"
"What?" *pouting*
I stood up from my seat and went closer to her. I sat beside her and she immediately squeezed me into a hug.
"Why'd you leave me here?"
"I didn't.. I was just there talking with Ahjumma. C'mon I need cuddles right now.." I said lying on the couch and pulling Jennie into a hug
She giggles in response as she wrap her arm around me and scooting closer so our bodies were like connected with each other.
"Did you sleep well?" I asked
She hummed in response and pulled me closer even though we were already so close with each other.
"Good for you.. You hungry?"
"Why? Will you cook for me if I say yes?" *chuckles*
Oh this girl.. She thought I'm still not good at cooking.
After that day she came and cooked for me, I bought stuff for the kitchen and practiced cooking. Good thing I was a fast learner.
"Oh no Jen.. I know how to cook Kimchi fried rice now.." I said proudly
"No Jagi.. I don't want you to learn cooking now.. I want to do it for you" she said whining
*giggles* "Sshhh~ no problem Jen.. I just wanted to learn so I can cook for you in times like this.."
"No. Let's just order for now.. I want to cuddle with you more.."
She said pouting again..
"Okay okay.. I give up.. Let me get my phone so I can ca-"
"It's here.."
"Why is my phone with you Jen?"
"Nothing important go on call the delivery.. I want jajangmyeon.."
"Okay hold on.."
As soon as I unlocked my phone, I can't help but smile at what I saw. So this is why she took my phone..
"I'm so cute right?" Jennie said giggling
"Hmm.. I think-"
"Yah! Y/N! You're thinking twice now?"
I just laughed at her reaction making her glare at me.
"You're the cutest okay? Stop glaring at me now.."
She didn't respond instead she lied back in bed and opened her phone. I did the call for delivery and immediately snuggled close to Jennie after finishing the call.
"So what did you talk with Ahjumma earlier?" Jennie asked while fidgeting with her phone
"Hmm okay.. Since you heard I broke the company rules, you have to act as if you don't know anything about my background"
"Why? What will happen?"
"They will kill me"
"What?!"
"Just kidding.. I'll be undergoing trials first before determining the punishment.. I don't know yet.. Just act normal and I'll be fine don't worry.."
"Okay no problem.. What else?"
"Uhh I'll be going to Australia next day after tomorrow"
"What?! You're kidding right?"
"No I'm not.. I have to fix this mess and find a way to get you out of this.."
"But-"
"I'll be fine.. Don't worry" I said and gave her a reassuring smile
"Okay.. But you have to update me from time to time you understand that?"
"Yes Ma'am!"
She didn't answer instead she gave me a deep sigh. Don't worry Jennie, I'll be fine. Hopefully.
