Maggie's POV
I woke up with a feeling of hope for me and my mom.
Since today was her day off and she was still asleep, I decided to make her breakfast.
I make pancakes and bacon with eggs.
My mom soon wakes up and the food is on the table for her
"Mom I was wondering if you would want to go to the beach later?" I suggest since we haven't really talked in a while
"Why?"
"Well we haven't really spent time together" I say
"I give you a roof to live under, food, and somewhere to sleep is that not enough?" She says
"I didn't meant it like that" I mumble
"Okay well any ways we ran out of milk" I say while closing the fridge
"Okay and go buy some" she says
"I don't have any money"
"Well then sell your dog it's just in the way"
"No mom" I say shocked that she even suggested that
"WELL WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO. YOU DO NOTHING TO HELP ME. YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A JOB, YOUR WORTHLESS TO ME" she yells
"Maybe if you didn't spend your money on alcohol we would have enough money" I suggest which probably wasn't the greatest idea
"JUST LEAVE AND DON'T COME BACK, LEAVE LIKE YOUR BROTHER" she yells and I feel my eyes getting filled with tears
"You don't mean that your just drunk" I say while trying to convince myself that she really didn't mean that
"Get out. And don't even think about coming back" she says and I feel a a tear roll down my cheek
"Your pathetic" she says and gets up from her chair to face me
"Get out." She says and I run outside the door finally letting all the tears fall down.
Tater tot followed me while I was just walking and crying.
I was near the cafe when tater tot went wild and ran up to this guy near the fortune teller lady.
"Tater tot come back" I say
I run to tater tot and see him with this curly headed guy
"I'm sorry about my dog" I say but he sorta ignores me and continues texting on his phone
"Hello I'm talking to you" I say and snap my fingers in front of him
"What" he says while rolling his eyes finally he glances up to look at me
"I said sorry for my dog, and when some One is talking to you you don't ignore them that's rude" I say and he stares blankly at me
I cough hoping he would get the signal and say thank you
"Thank you?" He says as a question
"Your welcome" I say and I was about to walk away from that jerk when just my luck the fortune teller lady called me
"You girl with the dog come over here" she says and since I didn't want to be rude I walked up to her
"Yes?" I question
"I saw you and your boyfriend are having problems" she says
"Actually he's n-" I say but get cut off
"You with the curly hair" he says to the guy
"Come over here" she says and he walks over
"I'll read your future for free" she says
"Okay" I say since it's free and the guy nods as well
She grabs both our hands and closes her eyes until finally she says
"I see a strong relationship grow, but I also see failure. Some one will fail" she says and opens her eyes
"That's it" He asks and she nods
"I can read more if you pay" she says
"Yeah maybe next time" I lie and walk into the cafe
"Hey I didn't get your name" the curly headed boy says
"That's because I didn't give you it" I say purposely being rude to him because he was rude to me
"Wow rude much"
"Your one to talk" I reply
I order my coffee and sit in a booth, the curly headed guy sits across from me
"Can you stop following me" I say to him
"Look I'm sorry about earlier" he says
"Doesn't change the fact that I'm sitting with a complete stranger" I say
"Okay..then let's get to know each other"
"How old are you?" I ask
"16" he reply's
"Me to"
And we continue asking each other questions
"Well it was nice talking to you but I have to go" I say and start walking away
"Wait can I get your number" he says and I give him a weird facial expression
"You know..as friends" he says and I nod and give him my number.
Just as I'm walking away I realize I have nowhere to go since my mom kicked me out
I decide to call Aria
"Hey"
"Hi my mom sorta kicked me out, Can I stay with you for a few days until I figure out where I'm gunna go" I ask her
"Yeah just let me ask my parents" she says
"Okay they said yes"
"Okay I'll just go get a few of my things" I say and hang up
I walk home with tater tot and enter the house. There I see my mom asleep on the couch
I quietly make my way upstairs and pack up everything I need for a few days.
