Two long weeks passed after Lorraine left.
Dylan called, he went to her mother's house, he went to her former apartment even to the bar, at that point he didn't care anymore what his Dad's lawyer's did.
All he wanted was his wife to be back home, but he didn't get that. He always got whatever he wanted but this case was the contrary.
He walked into his mansion which felt empty and quiet.
He walked up the stairs remembering when Lorraine used to walk down gracefully to welcome him and his face heated up as tears stung his eyes threatening to fall.
I need her back here with me. . .
He thought as he walked into their room which still held her scent strongly.
Damn, I miss her.

"beep, beep"
"Lorraine. it's been two weeks and you still ignore his calls, his texts. It clearly shows that he cares and must be going around crazily looking for you" Kyle said scowling at Lorraine's phone that has been ringing non stop.
"I don't want to see him" she said simply
She was sitting on Kyles brown soft sofa with a cup of hot coco in her hands and her phone on the table opposite her.
"You are his wife"
"Fake wife" Lorraine retorted
"But you love him, and besides you're still wearing your wedding ring" Kyle said and all words Lorraine wanted to say disappeared
"What's the use, it's not like he does. And I'm only wearing the ring because it's mine Okay, and I like it " she said with a blank look on her face
"You don't know that though, you left without giving him a chance to explain himself" Kyle said reassuringly
"I heard all I had to hear"
Kyle moved to the edge of the Chair "You are so stubborn girl, I really hope you don't infect the baby with your bad behaviors"
"I won't, I love my baby" Lorraine caressed her cute baby bump with a smile that didn't reach her eyes like when she was with Dylan
"And it's father"
"ding dong "
"I'll get that, it's probably the pizza I ordered centuries ago" Kyle stood up and started walking to the door
"When I get back we'll finish this conversation, I don't just get it. You love him, so forgive him a-" Kyle trailed off as she opened the door
"Good afternoon Kyle" his husky voice rang through out the whole house.
Kyle gasped and took a step backwards "Dyl-"
"Can I come in? It's raining" he gave a small smile
"Of course" she ushered him in by gesturing her hand to the left
He nodded briefly and Walked inside "I need to talk to you about Lorraine" he said bluntly not caring that he was drenched in water.
He had to pack his car across the street from the apartment building because a lot of cars were already in front of it.
She was his last clue on finding Lorraine, maybe he should have come here first.
She was her best friend after all.
"Do you know where she is? " he asked
"uhm. . ." Kyle muttered "I don't. . ." she heaved a sigh "She's here" she said finally
Dylan's eyes widened with interest to the best news he had heard for all the past two weeks. "I want to talk to her please" he said the last word with effort
Kyle shook her head "I can't, I shouldn't. She doesn't want to see you" Kyle said and Dylan stepped closer to her trying to convince her "But deep down she wants to see you and that's why I'll let you see her. As a good friend" she said and she brought a smile to his lips.
She took him to the living room where Lorraine sat on the brown chair with a blanket over her legs and a cup of hot coco in her hands. "if you hurt her again I'll cut your balls off and feed them to my neighbors dogs" Kyle stopped Dylan and told him glaring at him.
"I would never hurt her"
"You better not" she let him go finally
He walked into the room and saw her staring at the window as the rain drops rolled over it, he noticed she was pale and her sad look was not unnoticed.
"Raine" his voice sounded raspy and tensed
She turned her head to his direction with widened eyes "What are you doing here, Dylan?"
"I needed to see you. . . To tell you I'm sorry"
She gasped "Did you just say you're sorry?" she inquired shocked by his words.
He never apologized for anything much less say 'please'.
What's going on?
Dylan moved closer to her and got on his knees making her follow his gaze and movement.
"Lorraine I'm sorry," he said and her heart went on racing crazily "For not telling you about the other part of the contract, I didn't know initially and when I did, I didn't know how to tell you about it. I really am sorry, please forgive me. Come back home, it's nothing without you, it feels empty.
I need you back, I miss you Lorraine. . ." he wrapped his hands around hers tenderly
"Lorraine, I love you" he said and her heart stopped beating instantly.
"Dylan," she shook her head slowly "People like you don't fall in love with people like me. You prefer hot tall blondes"
"True" he took the cup from her hands and placed it on the table after sitting on it
"But it's you I choose, it's you I want, it's you I love" he continued, noticing the slight drop in her expression.
She sniffled "Stop saying things like that Dylan, you're hurting me with your words by getting my hopes up. I mean when did you start saying you're sorry or please. You never begged for anything, neither did you apologize, what changed. . . What changed you?"
"Not what, who. . . You changed me Lorraine. When I realized that I could loose you I just had to be the man you deserve and change"
"But it can't work"
"Of course it would, just come back home for me and our child please" he put his hand over her bump
She shook her head "My baby won't be born under the circumstances of a business deal"
"Fine, I'll give up my inheritance, everything"
She widened her eyes "No, no... You can't do that. It's yours, you need to claim it and put that jerk George to shame. And what about your Mom and Sister uh? do you want to completely embarrass them and send them out on the streets. You know they won't survive like that"
Dylan smiled softly
"What are you smiling about?" she asked her face flushed even in this situation
"I don't know if it's maternal instinct or hormones, but you've changed. I like it" he said with a smile "Does that mean you are coming back home?" he said with expectation glowing in his eyes
"I can't let you give up your whole life's work, Dylan" Lorraine said
"It won't hurt doing it for the people I love the most" he said reassuringly
She nodded
"Money means nothing to me as long as you're with me Raine"
"But-"
"But nothing, I only care about the both of you" he said reassuringly, rubbing her head tenderly like he was talking to a little child
"Okay" she nodded briefly.
His eyes filled with great bliss and joy at what she said "Our child isn't going to be born for a business contract but out of our love"
"Really?" a tear that had been threatening to fall since he said he loved her rolled down
"No, don't cry" he wiped off her tear "it's all going to be fine" he kissed her forehead
"I love you Dylan Walker" she said with a small voice loud enough for him to hear
"And I love you Lorraine Walker" he said before placing his lips on hers softly but demanding.
