today, abi gave me the official invitation to her birthday party.
she told me she didn't care if anyone else showed up as long as i was there.
i promised her i would be there.
it's february 15.
the day after valentine's day.
and it'll be hard getting myself out of bed after not being able to spend the day for love with my love.
but, i'll do anything for abi.
though after dinner, momma dun pulled me aside. she said i didn't have to spend my day at a six-year-old girl's birthday party. she'd make up an excuse.
but i quickly told her i want to go.
because i do.
it'll make abi happy.
and maybe it'll distract me from missing her brother.
