"Do you want ice cream?"
My ears perked up at the question. Garroth and I had just finished swimming and I was DYING for something to eat. I nodded vigorously, earning a laugh from the blonde. He escorted me to a booth where we got the sweet treat.
"I told you swimming was easy!" Garroth chuckled. I smacked his arm lightly, pretending to be offended.
"Well I guess this ice cream can make up for you being an idiot." I sighed. We sat in silence for a while until I thought to ask something that had been bothering me.
"Garroth, you said you aren't fond of your dad, and you seem to love your mom a lot. Why don't you live with her then?" I asked slowly, not quite sure if I should have asked. Garroth looked to me, surprised to hear me ask something so straightforward.
"I'm actually not sure if my mom could support another two kids living with her. Vylad and Lin already put so much financial pressure on Mom. I'm sure if she had to she could find a way to make it work, but I know it wouldn't be easy. I wish at least Zane could live with my mom, but it would be weird having one kid go and not both." Garroth explained. I was in awe over how mature and caring he was.
"Well there is child support. I know its not my place to say but.... I think you should at least talk to your mom about how you feel. Maybe she could find a way to make it work, where everyone is happy." I said. Garroth smiled.
"Yeah. Ill do that."
