"so, how are you and y/n?" the interviewer asks as they shuffle their question cards on their lap.
dylan looks down for a moment, his heart sinking at the sound of your name, "we, uh, broke up." he mumbles quietly.
the interviewer looks shocked, "oh, dylan, i'm very sorry, i didn't realise..."
dylan shakes his head, "it's okay, we didn't want it to be a huge deal, it's just between us, you know?" he sighed as he thought about you, his heart ached as he realised just how much he missed you but he couldn't let his feelings affect the rest of the interview so he wore a fake smile and pretended that he wasn't hurting inside.
