"Nice wig Janice what's it made out of?" I asked one of my closest friends on the ark as we sat down in the dining hall to eat.
"Your moms chest hair." She responded
"My moms chest hairs are blonde." I said with a smile
"What are you doing later?" She asked me as I shrugged.
"What do you mean.." She asked as she copied the shrug.
"A shrug is not an answer." She said
"I don't know. Maybe I'll watch a movie." I said
"I wish we could be like regular people you know?" She said as she tapped her card on the table.
"I mean you wouldn't be a doctor you'll just be some hot pre-med college student." She said
"And I'll be that weird art kid with a wig made out of her friends moms chest hair." Janice said
"I would want to be that regular stereotypical college student." I said as I thought about it.
"I see you as that sorority cheerleader who got into that really hard school cause she's a genius." She said as I nodded.
"I am a genius aren't I?" I asked her
"I mean it's not my fault you guys are of below average knowledge." I said with a huge smile as she smacked my arms as I laughed.
"Jeez I want to punch that guy in the face." She said out of nowhere.
"Which guy?" I asked as I didn't turn around.
"That one with the guards uniform." She said as I turned slyly and saw the guy as he stood at the doorway.
"Why? What did he do?" I asked
"He told me to stop running in the halls." She said as I laughed.
"Awe were you caught without a hall pass as well?" I asked as she mocked me.
"Let's get out this place." She said as she stood up.
"Let's go to Saturn." I said as I stood up as she made me a face.
"What? You said you want to get out of this place." I defended.

"Leo come on." I said as I rushed her.
"No what if we get caught?" She asked as she pulled on a large hoodie.
"We will if you keep taking so long." I said as she finished tying her shoes.
"I'm not missing the meteor shower because of you now come on." I said as she finally finished.
"Let's go you big nerd." She said as we left the room. Our parents were asleep as we tiptoed out of our apartment. I locked the door quietly behind me as we made it out into the halls.
"We made it!" I whisper shouted as the halls were empty. It was our designated sleep time so everything was calm and quiet.
We walked down the hall until we reached the viewing area. The sun was nowhere to be found as all we faced were stars. I looked down to earth and saw the blue seas shining like a giant sapphire.
The lands were green and white and brown. Clouds flew high above the land as I stared down.
"What do you think is down there?" She asked me as she shrugged.
"Trees. Tall trees that touch the sky. And grass up to your waist. And animals. All types of animals. Horses, deer, wolves, foxes." I said
"Really? You think there's wildlife?" She asked as I nodded.
"30 years after Chernobyl wildlife thrived there." I gave an example.
"That's different" she said
"Is it really?" I asked
"What would you do? If we went to earth?" I asked her as she shrugged.
"I'll go to the beach and swim in the ocean." I said as she snorted.
"You don't know how to swim." She pointed out.
"There's a first time for everything." I said with a smiled as I bumped my shoulder into hers.
"So what time does this meteor shower thing start?" She asked as I checked my watch.
"It should start any minute." I said as we waited. I stared down on earth and imagined what was down there.
"Look!" Leo said as she tapped my arm and pointed at a shooting star.
"Another one." I said excitedly. Soon tens and hundreds of stars were flying across the sky as we watched mesmerized by the sight. I reached into my jacket pocket and took out a flask.
"It is an honor nay a privilege that I give you your first drink." I said as I uncapped the flask and gave it to her. She looked at me with wide eyes before taking a chug.
She spit some of it out as she coughed as I laughed. I clapped her on the back to help her out.
"Are you okay?" I asked her as she nodded and handed back the flask.
"That's disgusting." She said with a horrid face.
"Well it was fermented in a toilet so.." I said with a nonchalant shrug. She gagged as I took a swig of the liquid.
"Damn...that's disgusting." I confirmed as she nodded.
"Yeah it is." She said as I heard footsteps coming our way. My smile faded as I caught a glimpse of a guard.
"Time to go." I whispered as I out the flask away. I raised my hood as well as hers as we both stood up and started to walk back to where we came from.
"Hey!" The guard called out to us just as we had reached our door. I stopped walking as I turned slightly.
"Yes?" I asked calmly
"What are you two doing?" He asked
"Shhh!" I said as I put a finger to my lips.
"My parents don't know I'm sneaking someone in." I lied. The guard looked around awkwardly before clearing his throat.
"Well then. Carry on." He said
"We will. Goodnight." I said with a sweet smile but my face was hidden with my hood as I unlocked the door.
"After you." I said to Leo as she scurried in as I followed her and locked the door behind me.
We both looked at each other with wide eyes as I pushed myself off the door.

"Lydia!" Janice yelled excitedly as I entered the house. I looked around as I saw that it was crowded with people all drinking.
"Janice!" I yelled back.
"Where's your infant?" She asked mockingly as I gave her a face.
"She's only two years younger." I said as she held up a cup as I took it from her.
"I know I know." She said as I took a sip of the drink. I winced at how strong it was before I played it off.
"Where's Damian?" I asked Janice as she pointed with her cup as I saw the 6ft tall pink shirt wearing guy making his way over.
"I cannot they won't play our jam." Damian said once he reached us.
"Yeah well not everyone wants to hear Sex With Me by Rihanna seven times in a row." Janice said into her cup.
"I totally want to hear it seven times in a row." I said
"So where's your infant?" Damian asked as I mocked him.
"Guards!" Someone yelled as Janice choked on her drink.
"Shit we're all getting arrested today." She said as the guards blocked the door.
"Why? We have a permit. The party isn't spilling beyond the door. And we have until 12." I said as I checked my watch.
"It's only 8" I said as I drank more.
"Yeah but that asshole guard sure is going to arrest us and he's coming right for us." Janice said.
"Can I see your identification?" He asked us as Janice and Damien both dug deep into their pockets and handed me random things. Paper clips and hair bands. A nude lipstick and a pen.
"I'm a doctor." I said to him.
"I don't need an ID." I said to him.
"There's only two doctors on board." Janice mumbled
"Really? Because I just found out I passed my test." I said to them excitedly as they both stood their with open mouths.
"No way! When were you going to tell us?" Damien asked
"Identification. And I need yours as well." He said to me as I rolled my eyes.
I took off my ID that hung off my neck and passed it to him as Janice finally found hers. It was lodged in her bra.
"Safest place in the world." She said as she handed the ID to him.
"If only my balls were that safe." Damien said as he found his.
"Everything checks out. There you go Doc." He said handing us our cards as I nodded. I gave them back their random crap as I stared after him.
"He's not that bad." I said with a shrug.
"What? No he's a total dick." Janice said angrily.
